I swear every time it's O dark thirty in the middle of the night I'll be just moments from my bed and get a notification from you guys... and here we are. Well 2 hours here is never poorly spent so lets do this.
Depends on the age of the shields- Bloodraven would’ve had a shield when he arrived, so it could be Targaryen. But also both House Vance of Atranta and House Vance of Wayfarer’s Rest from the Riverlands have dragons in their sigil, and so does House Toland of Ghost Hill in Dorne (after the Conquest). Also, there’s a very interesting dragon *skeleton* on the arms of House Willum from the Reach!
@@RadioWesterosI was wondering that as well, I just assumed it was either Bloodraven’s or Aemon shield, but then I remembered that their are other houses that have dragons on them as well, though I must admit I did not know that House William had a dragon skeleton on their banner, I wonder if that is a recent change, because I’m not sure how the Targaryens would’ve felt about such a banner, the Tolands were able to get away with their dragon eating its own tail banner because Dorne resisted and then eventually married into the Targaryens, but I’m surprised House Willem isn’t mentioned more often.
There are theories that the skeleton sigil could be a post-Dance development, perhaps a nod to a dragon dying near their home? But it could equally refer to pre-Targaryen dragons in Westeros, which imo is pretty cool and more likely :) p.s. it’s worth noting that House Willum is a nod to Tad Williams’ Memory Sorrow Thorn series, the first installment of which is called The Dragonbone Chair.
Thanks! I actually love their intros and hearing all the cool names of their patreons - I feel like they're my old friends, and could probably list them all from memory 😅

If there was a Dragon shield in the Shield Hall, did a Targ get sent to the wall?
