Looking at the SpO2 in 4:23 i would immediately give the patient a non rebreather mask.
6:02 what should be done is a needle aspiration or a meedle decompression in the 2nd intercostal space. If it was very traumatic a chest tube would be inserted.
We have a lot of ideas and resources about the real operation that could make things happen in medical or residential training especially in surgery. So waiting for more updates. 🎉🎉🎉

For those who dosen't know pneumothorax is a collapsed lung which can be caused by a thrauma or other.
usually the pneumothorax is caused by a disruption in the negative pressure within the pleural space which then collapses the lung, but you are right i just wanted to add to it

This was done completely wrong. In terms of a Pneumothorax, a needle decompression is used to relieve oxygen in the chest cavity that is leaking through the hole made in the lungs. By putting him on oxygen, you are allowing the chest cavity to refill with oxygen which puts strain on the heart which can lead to cardiac arrest.
Patient will still be breathing the same amount of air, all you're changing with oxygen therapy what percentage of that air is oxygen. The only way you can worsen the pneumothorax is if you apply positive pressure. Oxygen is 100% indicated in pneunothorax, especially if the Pt is hypoxic.
@@CheesyHotDogPuff You both right. Needle decompression but def O2 required as long as under 95% Spo2 otherwise concerns of free radicals, hypoxic drive etc.

No, it was Pneumothorax (PNX) which is a disease.
not neccasarily its a disorder
@@noidea215 It's not a disease, it's when there is a hole in your lung which causes the chest cavity to fill with air. When the cavity is filled with air, it creates strain on the heart which can lead to cardiac arrest
