These aren't real life hacks? This is stuff everyone knows. Wear a tampon to go to the pool! Use pain relievers when you are in pain! Bring extra pads and tampons with you! There was only one actual life hack in this, and I wouldn't want to do it because I don't want blood all over my socks! And maybe two good tips. Other than that this video was pretty redundant. I was expecting actually helpful stuff, like how to hide your tampons when you go to the bathroom, diy heating pads, etc.

Actually it is possible to swim without a tampon. Just go on your lightest day. The water pressure is the reason why you don't bleed in the water, you just have to get changed a little quicker than usual. It's same with baths and showers. Water pressure.

Here's a hack… before you bathe, get some toilet paper ready and put it on somewhere dry. When you finish your shower/bath, use the toilet paper to absorb some of ur blood while u pat ur thighs dry. Then plonk onto the toilet bowl and change your pad :)

If you bathe correctly you shouldn't start bleeding again until like 6 minutes.
nissa Purple No, no and no. This is true for some women but not for others. Definitely didn't work for me (I bled MORE in the bath, and trust me I know how to take a bath) until I got on the pill. And I still bleed right after going out of the water (before I'm done drying myself), so definitely seconding the toilet paper trick. I use tissues =)

The blood leaking through the jeans happened to me when I was still new to periods but it happened at school in khaki pants and none of my friends told me..it's surprising how you don't feel it. Luckily that was when I was 11 so being almost 21 I definitely learned!

One thing that I will do that helps me is that when I am on my period, I will layer my pads usually 2-3 so that throughout the day, when my pad gets full, I can just rip it off and I will already have another one ready to use. hey, i just wanted to say that, while they smell nice and keep you feeling clean, baby wipes/huggies are (often) not good for you and can sometimes give you infections. I suggest just wetting some toilet paper with warm water instead, then flushing it down the toilet

im 15 btw i have a swimming pool myself and i have NEVER bled in the water.... mabe i am special but i looked it up and it said some people dont.. or even if they do u cant see it. i just know that when im swimming it stops. Usually i wont bleed for a half hour after i get out. But when that period of time is done then it comes out (a lot)
uh narayana, you don't bleed it the water. it's a well known fact anD NO HONEY I AM NOT 10. ok back to the topic, the water makes the blood stay there, it kind of acts as a suction to make the blood stop. so you don't bleed in the water, but you bleed right away once you come out of the water. everyone knows this lol maybe you're just abnormal

What I do is put my pads in the pockets of my denim jacket (it's a guy jacket so the pockets are big enough to not bulge plus I can button it so nothing falls out) so whenever I have to go change I just put the jacket on before I go to the hallway and nobody suspects a thing
As a nurse and a period-haver for the past 30 plus years, these are some great tips. I have accumulated some tips as well over the years for making your period easier, admittedly I do not use a menstrual cup so I cannot speak to it's efficacy. So...1) If you use a tampon, wear at least a light pad as a back up (unless you are swimming obviously).That way if you find yourself in a pinch and unable to get to a restroom, you know you have some wiggle room time wise. 2) Create a small case of products to keep in your bathroom that you fill from the larger product boxes that you keep in your cabinets. I love using an old train case, you can find them on ebay. That makes it portable and fairly discreet if you do not want to keep it in there all the time, and everything will be right within reach when you do need it. Fill the case with your pads, tampons, wipes, individual travel wipes etc. Refill after every period is over. This will allow you to know what you are about to run out of so you can buy it long before your next one starts. 3) Baby wipes and moist toilet paper wipes are great for home, but consider individually wrapped flushable wipes that are fairly inexpensive to purchase online for on the go. 4) A portable period pack for your purse can be very small and still functional. Like your bathroom case, refill as needed, and again at the end of each period. I found a nice pouch (on ebay again) that is about 5"x5" square with a velcro closure. It holds 2 thin maxis, 5 compact Super Plus tampons and 3-4 wrapped wipes. 5) In your purse always have stashed a couple of tampons or pads and a couple of the wipes in case you are caught off gaurd. I love the compact tampons, they are so easily tucked away. This way you needn't carry you larger period pack with you all the time. 7) In addition to the wipes, to reduce odor, keep your public hair trimmed down neatly. You don't have to shave or wax it all off, but a trim reduces the hair that blood and then bacteria can cling to, and makes it easier to clean. Also, shower daily and wash and rinse your vulva and anal area well, then tuck a dry cloth up there for a few minutes afterwards to collect any drippy shower water. You can use a dark colored cloth or insert a tampon first if you are worried about stains. 8) I find it easiest to get stains out of white undies. First pour hydrogen peroxide on the stain a couple of times until it lightens. Then rinse the panties in cold water and soak in a sink filled with cold water and a good splash of bleach. After they are white again, rinse well and hang to dry, then launder as usual. Finally, 9) Sex during a period. If you feel like having intercourse, you will likely feel most confident after your shower. Insert a light tampon right after you hop out as described above, and spread a towel out to protect your bedding. Have a couple of dark-colored hand towels or cloths handy for both of you to clean up afterwards, (you both may also appreciate baby wipes, especially if you are bleeding pretty heavy) and have a little baggie ready nearby for your tampon and used wipes. Right before you are ready to actually do the deed, you can discreetly remove your tampon and toss it. I have also found that with a tampon in, recieving oral sex is still perfectly pleasant for both involved 😊 Hope nobody took offense to that last one, period sex is personal preference, I generally don't feel like it on really heavy crampy days, but some people do. And your man's opinion of it can vary quite a bit as well. But if you are mature enough to be a sexually active couple, you are well mature enough to discuss it. Best wishes!

People with gender issues who are naturally men tend not to have a period. Women with certain hormonal problems tend not to have a period. Overly athletic, over worked, and overly stressed women can sometimes have little to no period. Women who are starving themselves or women who are malnourished tend not to have period. Not all girls have periods.
