Still not as secure as SmallRig’s cage for the A7siii (it bolts to the camera loop) but it’s just as firm especially when running heavier lenses.
Is there a small gap between the cage and R5 body? Like it’s mostly flush looking until you tilt it and can see between the two?
That’s correct. The parts that could come in contact with the body, mainly during installation, is padded with rubber.
