    Is there a small gap between the cage and R5 body? Like it’s mostly flush looking until you tilt it and can see between the two?

      That’s correct. The parts that could come in contact with the body, mainly during installation, is padded with rubber.

      @@ericgrayphoto honestly, I’m waiting for the WoodenCamera or BrightTangerine R5C cage. A bird at Canon tells me that they’re going to be really nice.

    NIIIIICE cage! I love SmallRig gear.

      Right? The first cage they made had a bit of play, especially when running a heavier lens. This one has imperceptible play because the grip and hump brace against the cage. Still not as secure as SmallRig’s cage for the A7siii (it bolts to the camera loop) but it’s just as firm especially when running heavier lenses.

      It’s a Sennheiser MKE200; $99 at B&H. It’s replaced my Rode VideoMicro.
