The North End keeps changing! I'm African American and my 5th generation great grandfather lived in the North End in the 1840s. It's mostly gentrified now, but still the most special part of Boston...to me. I'm a 10th generation Bostonian, We go back to the late 1600s.
You're right! The history of the North End and the various ethnic groups who settled there over various periods is quite interesting. And, as you said, it keeps changing. Let's just hope it always keeps the North End flavor and stays a special place. Glad you're watching!
@@josephconforti4684 yes of course! Very well. My aunt is his godmother. His grandparents lived in the same building as mine ❤️❤️my uncle married his aunt ❤️❤️
@@josephconforti4684 Poor Anthony - my understanding is that he passed in his sleep. Miss him awful - he was one of the best, a real North End treasure :(((
@@janismcgonagle1456 When you're a filmmaker, it's always hard to find that indelible character for your film, Anthony was one of them. Sorry for your loss.

Are you related to Joseph Conforti from Boston (and Augusta Sicily) who founded The Mustang Ranch? My family from The West End knew him.
The wonderful Boston accent!
Even better, a North End accent that no actor has ever mastered. Distinct from a Boston accent, it's totally unique. Thanks for watching!
TONY'S FRUIT. 1965- 1985
The old days! Thanks for watching!
