I have watched many of your videos and all are very good. I have one question. Is it possible to download Excel dump file from client website after doing logins into the website.
this tutorial was great,. but i still didnt understand how it work, can it be use to grab information inside the website without having credentials intstead we can use our windows security credentials?
Hi Irdam! It only works if the website is configured to use Windows credentials with Active Directory services. It's unlikely that you'll encounter this on a public website. Another issue im running into. ive tried different website as examples and when I run the macro. and I'm referring to the Sub LogintoWebPage() the simple code to navigate to the url that is in sheet one. well when I do that nothing happens, it acts as the code has ran but no internet explorer window opens up

What version of IE are you using in this video. We only have 11.0 here at work and I am on Office 2013 Pro Plus. The New "SHDocVW....." does not come up correctly.
I would love to see a deeper dive into logging on with XMLHTTP. The simple use of USER and PASSWORD on the ".Get" line often does not work. I would like to see more about using APIs and reading a site to understand how to construct the request with headers, and what headers are used for, xml.getResponseHeader("Set-Cookie"), etc. Thanks for the great videos and great instruction. - R

Hi! Sorry I don't know. I'd probably open Chrome with the user profile that you know is already logged in to Facebook (we have a video on how to open Chrome with a specific user profile). I hope it helps!

I am trying to log into a site that has 2 step authentication and if I could just use my own profile, then it would solve this issue. When I run the code I get a Run-time error '-2147417848 (80010108)': Automation Error The object invoked has disconnected from its clients. When I click Debug, it highlights the "Do While IE.readyState READY_COMPLETE or IE.Busy Loop"I can't figure out what the issue is. Thanks

Hi Christian! You can't really "click" links using the XMLHTTP request method - you're just returning the HTML as text so there isn't a web browser instance for you to click in. If you can identify the target URL of the thing that you would ordinarily click on you can use this to send another XMLHTTP request to return the next page as it were. Of course it may just be simpler to use a web browser in the first place! I hope it helps!

I watched your fantastic Excel VBA getting data from websites list, I learned too much with. I'm trying to pick up data from an website with these methods, but I don't get it. I have examed the website source and I have discovered that the data isn't there. There is a "frame" link with extension "*.asp", so I put the frame link in process, but don't work. Hi Andi! Sorry, I don't know of a solution to this, recaptcha is explicitly designed to prevent the type of thing you're trying to do.
