Rocket Launches at 2024 4-H Clover College

4-H Clover College is a four-day series of hands-on workshops for youth presented by Nebraska Extension in Lancaster County. In the four-day “Rocketry” workshop, youth build and - weather permitting - launch a rocket. This popular workshop has been taught in Lancaster County by 4-H volunteer Ron Suing for over 2 decades! Each youth receives a rocket kit and one engine. The youth sand, glue, assemble and spray paint primer on their rocket. This year's rocket kit included a streamer to slow the rocket as it descended. This year's weather was perfect, and Ron thought the rockets were going about 700 feet into the air!
Rockets may be exhibited in 4-H at the Lancaster County Super Fair at the Sandhills Global Event Center.
