- If you're a long time subscriber you'll know why just shooting a MK3 GTi is special to me. My first ever video was on a friends MK3, close to 9 years ago.
This MK3 GTi however is an entirely different story, it was imported to the United Arab Emirates from Japan with 90 000kms on the clock. Thats where the current owner, who happens to be South African (Yaay HOME!!) picked it up. Yaseen managed to, not only get this immaculate GTi but its sitting on an ultra rare and period correct set of Center Lock TOORA wheels.
The wheels had all the hardware and centerlock tools and were sitting in their original boxes for years(circa 1995) and are now the show piece on the GTi's chassis. Yaseen explains the story of how he got the wheels and shares some pictures as well.
An interesting fact in Abu Dhabi that contrasts to back home in South Africa is; that it's super rare to see a VW Golf MK3 GTi on the road here. Yes you'll see Mk5, 6 and 7 but a MK3 is rare.

Thanks Jason, sorry for the 8 month delay on replying. That is exactly the reason for this car, its the no frills! Was heading into getting air suspension and stuff but i think ill hang on. Everything works, this is my daily. I drive 220km daily with it.

Hey Christian, im the owner of the Mk3. I got them Tooras from the States as Akeel mentioned. According to the seller, he had the last 3 to 5 sets available in the world and i was lucky to get one of them.

@@Koup_TV_ it's cool though, because it's actually super rare here to see a mk3, let alone one as immaculate as this. However, the owner of this car is actually a BMW fanatic and has a BMW in the garage too.
