Living in a rural area, Walmart is closest and only store I have to shop, without traveling a number of miles, and with gas what it is, that's not practical for me. And, I can agree, we are carb & sugar addicts. Stepping in the door, stocked, cereals, and all forms of highly processed, carby, sugary foods. And, as I look at the people wandering around, poor health and obesity prevails. I pray for humanity that has been led astray, in so many ways, in our society. Lord, help open our eyes🙏

Hi OGC Being on carnivore since April me and the boyfriend started loosing weight but I gotta stop the coffee I use to do it with butter so will stop the whipping cream and go back to butter in coffee 😁☕
been meat based low carb for a while. used to feel i could never do carnivore, feeling unwell, or even keto under 20 carbs. slow and steady wins the race. just keep focusing on meat each day and let the addiction to even a few carbs naturally resolve. i really see an improvement in feeling good or at least ok as the carb numbers come down. have autoimmune thyroid so thought carnivore was messing with my thyroid hormones. maybe it does at first but just keep trying every day to get the few carbs even lower. now i'm pretty sure i can and will get to carnivore in the next few months. thanks for inspiring us.
Mitch, just wanted to say I appreciate the quality content along with great camera/editing work. 2 weeks into carnivore going thru the CHANGE my body is adapting to burning FAT and withdrawing from carbs/sugars. I'm in it to win it at 65 years of age. Keep up the GREAT WORK!

I absolutely agree about all this making carnivore versions of the food we used to eat . So much ingredients and so much fiddling around just to eat recplecers of what we used to eat .
Everybody is so focused on me patting my bacon....lol. everything I do has a specific and purposeful reason behind it. That bacon is one quarter inch thick, and whether I Pat it or not, it has a tremendous amount of fat. I Pat it to make it a little less greasy when I pick it up in my hand to eat it. That's all.
@@OldGuyCarnivore It struck me as funny, and so did others apperently. I lick off my greasy fingers, or rub it into my skin of my hands or face. A fat soaked paper towel is like blasphemy to me. lol

I like the idea of using the bacon fat to cook the eggs. If I was cooking that meal, I'd leave the bacon in the pan and pour the eggs over that to cook them.
I just started carnivore 1.5 weeks ago!! I feel so much better already! Carbs have always been my downfall!!! No more. Keep up the good work. 74 year old lady carnivore😅
Thank you Mitch for another TRUTH video by a man who practices what he preaches. Your lessons are clear and contain no B.S. I’m still learning to eat enough at each meal (usually 2mad), so I don’t think about snacking. I use black coffee as my crutch if I think I want to snack. BTW, I used your link and ordered my Wevac CV10 today!!!🥩😎
Thanks Mitch!! You're still one of my top carnivore people 🤔 Now, I just have to get back on it. It worked, but I let my PCP kind of talk me out of it.
Mitch, help! I’ve been a fan of yours and commented several times in the past. Last Saturday night I had a major heart attack and coded for two minutes and paddled back to life. Three heart artery stents inserted into my Widowmaker artery and I’m recovering. Still in the hospital as of today but I expect to go home soon. I’m 65 years old, was on the sad diet 62 years, the past three years carnivore. I look like you, thin. A little disappointed that my carnivore diet didn’t keep this from happening. All these doctors and my family are pointing the finger at me telling me that I need to quit carnivore now! Apparently it’s killing me. I’m still having these feelings of disappointment because I’ve heard some carnivores claim that the diet actually reverses heart plaque. Maybe I could just use your reassurance that quitting carnivore is not the answer. Thanks!
Sorry to hear you had that problem, Ken. As you know I'm not a doctor and I think it would be inappropriate for me to chime in as each of us is an individual case. I suspect, however that any heart disease that you had came before you were a carnivore. Also, I don't know how strictly you adhere to carnivore, but if I were you, I would continue and monitor that heart disease very closely. I have no idea whether adding sugar seed oils and Grains would actually be helpful in any way. Glad you came through this.
@@OldGuyCarnivore i’ve been nearly lion diet these past three years, and I’ve never felt better. My health has been better than it’s ever been. That’s why I was so shocked to have a heart attack. Full arterial blockage. I know I need to stop being bitter the carnivore didn’t prevent this. There’s no way that carbs sugar, seed oils are going to help me. I’ll find out from my cardiologist how I can closely monitor this condition, but I highly doubt that I’m going to see Arterial blockage in the future. Thanks for your words!
I scramble my eggs in the bacon grease every day! All that fatty goodness is mighty fine! Lots nutrients there. I’m wanting to gain back the weight that I lost during Covid. Up to 170# from 145# in 5 months. Shooting for 180# ... Thanks for your content Mitch!
I don't think that volume really makes any difference when you're first starting, and I've said many times that you might gain weight and you might lose weight while your body adapts. Also I don't know how you are actually doing carnivore. I find now that no matter how much I eat I do not gain any weight, and how much I eat is pretty well regulated by my appetite and instinct. That's only happened after I was fully adapted to burning fat instead of sugar.
Thanks Mitch l luv your videos they help to keep me on track. I too have a mega carb addiction but will keep trying to stay being a full time carnivore. No more SNACKING… 👍
Thank you Mitch ! Your new inputs really help ! I knew i am a carbs addict. I thought I could manage and find a way to curb my addiction, but I realise everyday that addiction is addiction. As you said , I need to come to terms that this is an addiction and i do have a problem. People tell me that we are not only carnivore, we used to hunt for meat but also picking berries and plants. So what you said is really interesting : our digestive system is not adapted to eat plants, we used to eat it as survival food. That’s really helped me to understand! Thank you Mitch ! And as usual I love your fun and ways of telling things ! I am going to take te day off and eat meat !
Thanks for the tips, Mitch. #3 is really important. I’m spending a lot of time thinking about #4 for our upcoming Alaska life. How was the egg with the extra fat?
Mitch, your so right about sticking to a simple carnivore lifestyle. It’s challenging at first but once you get over that hump it’s pretty easy. Early on I tried a carnivore pizza (one of my weaknesses) and it was horrible. I decided right then if I shouldn’t have a pizza I just won’t. I still get tempted now and then but it’s easier all the time .
Thanks for this Mitch. I have a daily battle with the smell of baguettes cooking in the French bakery downstairs. It’s cruel. But so far so good. Maybe a move would help. lol. Aussie Bob 😊😊😊
Thank you Mitch...I so needed this today. It is all true! Damn it is so hard...I keep trying. My ass hurts like you said from falling so much!!! Lol I get so mad at myself. I buy foods for me but my husband won't eat it. Then guess what happens...he will order food and have it delivered...like Dairy Queen! I am so weak when it comes to ice-cream. Ugghhhh just a vicious fn cycle of off and on. I have to stay away from it all or I will eat it. So here I am day 2 for the 100th time
I know! Just gonna have to be strong! I'm going to go in another room when it gets here and anything for me I'm gonna have to throw in trash. I hate to waste food but I can't keep failing. When I grow up I want to be like you Mitch!! Lol thanks for doing what you do and for inspiring me
Good morning Mitch. I still love your videos like this, never get tired of them because REPETITION REINFORCES RESULT-ORIENTED BEHAVIOR that is new to us after a lifetime of bad eating. Love your shirt too.....always happy to see it. Have a great day. Eating meat, Deb. 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
Hi Mitch addiction is real, you’re right you have to abstain , my biggest problem for me and many people struggling with staying on track is for me, is my husband wants a mixed diet as I’m the cook in the house I make all foods taste good you sample it and so it is so hard. Catch 22 married 42 years have struggled the whole time eating different. Trust me there are many days I want to not cook for him just haven’t been able to kill him yet! 😳True but wouldn’t do it. Just a daily struggle trying to be positive 🤕🥰
I'm about 10 days in, and feeling pretty good. The only thing is that my wife and kids are still eating the Standard American Diet, but it's been a good exercise in remaining stable in my decision despite all the junk food in my home. I don't care, I'm doing this and in time they may see the results of my decision.
I’ve got 2 Ball jars filled with bacon grease. I wait until it’s not scalding hot, put a coffee filter or paper towel over the opening and filter it into the jar.
I do the same, I keep it in the fridge for future use cause I cook a lot of bacon and use it to cook my steaks and burgers and eggs with! I also put a lot of bacon grease in a skillet and brown a big chuck roast and then pour the whole thing in a crockpot for 6 hrs and it’s the best roast I ever had! Just bacon grease and roast. Even my family loves it and they aren’t carnivore or anything!
National sarcastic society , I can't laugh because its too true and sad . Thankyou for your experience . Appreciate , slowly transitioning. You are funny !!
My treat is being truly hungry enough to eat my fill of meat, eggs , seafood. I don't snack at all except for a bite of cold butter to up my fat intake if I haven't taken enough fat in for the day-. In 4 days, it'll be 11 mo carnivore for me. I'm never going bac.k to carbs. 65 yo and thriving.
In the near future your AI robot will see to it your paper towels are always freshly stocked; while it prepares your morning breakfast. You can enjoy your cigar while it reads your morning emails out loud from your many subscribers. Naturally it will do all the cleanup. As for the shopping; just give it a list. Excellent synopsis of Carb Addiction.
Blueberries, blackberries, cauliflower, broccoli. ..all good. Roasted vegetables are good. Olive oil is good ( ask Pop-Eye). Meat good. The butter is good. We have teeth designed to eat them all. Make good choices and prepare food carefully. Even though the talking heads would have you believe otherwise. balance is key.
20:50 I am so guilty of that, making low carb pizzas or keto almond flour cakes. Those are the only "cheating" that I do. I know it's wrong and regardless of the macros, low carb or whatnot I am still feeding my feelings instead of fueling my body. I will work on it since I'd like to look half as good as you do in 25 years. Thank You
Preach it! One thing I want to point out as a person getting back in myself as well as helping others is that you mention not snacking because why would you if you’re not hungry? I hear Ken Berry and Anthony Chaffee say you won’t be hungry between meals if you’re on carnivore. Some of my friends trying carnivore say.. I just ate a huge steak and some eggs but I’m still hungry, just not for that. And then I myself will get bad “hunger” pains at night when starting. I’d like people to understand there is a difference between feeling hungry and being hungry. When starting carnivore you can feel terribly hungry at any point.. right after a meal and between meals and it doesn’t matter how much you eat. It’s because as you mentioned, you’re carb addicted. Eat carnivore till you’re not hungry for it and then all of the “hunger” you feel afterwards is a carb craving and has to be ignored till you’re un-addicted.
That's correct, and that's why I advise people to always eat whenever they're hungry until that urge goes away. The caveat is that if you're going to eat you have to eat meat.
Let us know in your next video, Mitch, if you enjoyed your "heavy egg" more than usual. Personally, I like scrambled eggs and not with excess bacon grease. I eat the bacon and scrambled eggs at the same time...the saltiness of the bacon goes well with the eggs which I do not salt.
My husband says carnivore is too expensive, meat is too expensive. My mission is now to prove him wrong, challenge accepted.
Go get em Dixie!
My husband has doubts about carnivore. I am showing him how I am doing only 1 month. Seeing is believing for most of us.
The alternative cost to deteriorating health is no comparison, best to you in your journey!
When I eat a ribeye with melted butter on top- I’m not hungry till the next day most the time.
That’s cheap eating for the day.
Think of all the money you save not buying bread, cake biscuits, chips, rice, veg, fruit, soda etc.
Before Carnivore I drank five six cans of Coke a day, I ate all the carbohydrates I wanted, half a cherry pie at one sitting half a Carton of ice cream At another sitting 8-10-12 donut holes. Thank you Mitch!
I'm glad it was meaningful for you, Diane
Hi OGC
Being on carnivore since April me and the boyfriend started loosing weight but I gotta stop the coffee I use to do it with butter so will stop the whipping cream and go back to butter in coffee 😁☕
been meat based low carb for a while. used to feel i could never do carnivore, feeling unwell, or even keto under 20 carbs. slow and steady wins the race. just keep focusing on meat each day and let the addiction to even a few carbs naturally resolve. i really see an improvement in feeling good or at least ok as the carb numbers come down. have autoimmune thyroid so thought carnivore was messing with my thyroid hormones. maybe it does at first but just keep trying every day to get the few carbs even lower. now i'm pretty sure i can and will get to carnivore in the next few months. thanks for inspiring us.
You're welcome
Today's video was great 😃, I took some notes 📝. I'm on day 45 and still going strong 💪. Thank you for your time, Mitch 👍
That's great, thank you
Im 11 months Carnivore and lost 30lbs. I love this way of eatting its simple I eat meat mostly beef. Some bacon chuck roast and steaks.
Thanks so much for that!
Needed this pep talk today. Thx Mitch.
You're welcome, Anne
Thanks for this video Mitch! You are truly an inspiration to us! ❤
I appreciate that!
❤❤❤ me some Mitch ❤
ALWAYS speaking ONLY FACTS and it’s showing ALL over you MITCH ❤
I just can’t get past the sweet cravings after 3 weeks they start, so weird !
Hang in there, 3 weeks is just the beginning
I absolutely agree about all this making carnivore versions of the food we used to eat . So much ingredients and so much fiddling around just to eat recplecers of what we used to eat .
👍
Great advice, Mitch. One funny observation when you decided to bathe your eggs in the grease, and then continued to pat the grease from your bacon. 😊
A fat soaked paper towel is like blasphemy to me. lol
You were on a roll today mitch! This was the best video and advice I have heard period in a longtime! In a unique way, this is Just as motivational as Homestead How videos but your Style! You tell it how it is! I am sharing this video with friends and family! This literally inspired me!
That's really great to hear, thanks so much
I moved from carbs to dairy addiction on carnivore now giving up the cream 😩
I like the idea of using the bacon fat to cook the eggs. If I was cooking that meal, I'd leave the bacon in the pan and pour the eggs over that to cook them.
That would work, but it would take all the fun away from eating the bacon with your hands like candy LOL
@@OldGuyCarnivore 🤣😂🤣😂
Thanks for your discussion and pep talk, its encouraging.
You're very welcome
4 stars Mitch. Thank you, my friend.
Very welcome
I just started carnivore 1.5 weeks ago!! I feel so much better already! Carbs have always been my downfall!!! No more. Keep up the good work. 74 year old lady carnivore😅
Thank you Mitch for another TRUTH video by a man who practices what he preaches. Your lessons are clear and contain no B.S. I’m still learning to eat enough at each meal (usually 2mad), so I don’t think about snacking. I use black coffee as my crutch if I think I want to snack. BTW, I used your link and ordered my Wevac CV10 today!!!🥩😎
Thanks, Mark, many of the doctors, like Rob Cywes and Ken Berry also use coffee as a crutch. No problem with that at all in my estimation.
I want a Wevac but my counter space is small. I’m trying to think where I could keep it when I’m not using it.
Thanks Mitch!! You're still one of my top carnivore people 🤔 Now, I just have to get back on it. It worked, but I let my PCP kind of talk me out of it.
Sorry to hear that, Betty
happy birthday Mitch and many more to come.
Thank you so much
I'm a new carnivore about two and a half months. I agree with all you have said. I love your T-shirt and wish you had it on your site.
I will put an Amazon link to it on my website
@@OldGuyCarnivore Great, thank you very much. Thanks for the motivation, it means so much.
@@OldGuyCarnivore I just ordered it from Amazon, thanks a million.
In addition to cooking my eggs in a bunch of bacon fat, I've stopped blotting the bacon, too. To blot or not to blot, that is the question.
I never worry about too much fat.😊
With all the fat in the bacon, I don't think blotting it makes any difference, just keeps your hands from getting greasy
If anyone can get this point across, Mitch can.
Thank you so much
I love Mitch!💕
I scramble my eggs in the bacon grease every day!
All that fatty goodness is mighty fine!
Lots nutrients there.
I’m wanting to gain back the weight that I lost during Covid.
Up to 170# from 145# in 5 months.
Shooting for 180# ...
Thanks for your content Mitch!
Always a pleasure
Hey Mitch could you make a video on ‘volume’ control vs fat intake. I’m gaining weight attempting to do carnivore
I am finding i am not eating enough so ill beef it up 😂
Good afternoon one and all, from Copperhill Tn. Thanks for all the great information you give us. 😊
My pleasure, Richard
Dr Rob Cywes is the Carb Addiction Doc and has many vids on this subject.
Indeed he does
If I need a snack, I eat a spoonful of butter or two with Himalayan salt.
That'll work
thanks for your excellent advice.
My pleasure!
Thanks Mitch l luv your videos they help to keep me on track. I too have a mega carb addiction but will keep trying to stay being a full time carnivore. No more SNACKING… 👍
You can do it!
Thank you Joana, glad I can help
Thanks for the tips, Mitch. #3 is really important. I’m spending a lot of time thinking about #4 for our upcoming Alaska life. How was the egg with the extra fat?
It was fabulous, jonathan. I may just make it that way from now on
The Vegans are probably beyond triggered by this awesome video! Happy Birthday 🎉 Mitch! Greetings from Philadelphia
Thanks so much!
I find that to be very true myself. These Foods get further and further away from my mind the longer I continue to do this.
I think going carnivore, also help me decide to quit drinking Alcohol too . I still chew a food grade Dip made from tea leaves
That's great news, Randy
Congratulations on quite drinking🎉❤
Thanks for this Mitch. I have a daily battle with the smell of baguettes cooking in the French bakery downstairs. It’s cruel. But so far so good. Maybe a move would help. lol. Aussie Bob 😊😊😊
I can understand why that would be tough, Bob
We've been TRAINED to be carb addicts nearly from birth!
Absolutely true
Zero Carbs, period, great motivation Mitch ❤❤❤ 🥩
Yes! Thank you!
Great teaching. Maybe I am ready to hear...Thank you. ah. I will go on to all the steps. one through four
Great talk . This video says it all. Keep it up.
Appreciate it, Andy.
Happy Birthday sir! Nice channel and life you’ve built. Congrats and cheers to many more 🥩 🥩
Thank you kindly
Nice! I do the same thing. The eggs go straight into the pool of bacon grease. It's delicious.
Beginning to be my de facto method
Thank you Mitch...I so needed this today. It is all true! Damn it is so hard...I keep trying. My ass hurts like you said from falling so much!!! Lol
I get so mad at myself. So here I am day 2 for the 100th time
That's a huge problem. I can't advise you on how to fix that
I know! Just gonna have to be strong! I'm going to go in another room when it gets here and anything for me I'm gonna have to throw in trash. I hate to waste food but I can't keep failing. When I grow up I want to be like you Mitch!! Lol thanks for doing what you do and for inspiring me
"Well good for you!" Lol. My favorite comment.
Mine too!
Always great to hear, Deb
Golden rules to thrive by!
Thanks, I needed this talking to.
My pleasure
Great common sense advice thanks Mitch
You bet
Hi Mitch addiction is real, you’re right you have to abstain , my biggest problem for me and many people struggling with staying on track is for me, is my husband wants a mixed diet as I’m the cook in the house I make all foods taste good you sample it and so it is so hard. Catch 22 married 42 years have struggled the whole time eating different. Trust me there are many days I want to not cook for him just haven’t been able to kill him yet! 😳True but wouldn’t do it. Just a daily struggle trying to be positive 🤕🥰
That seems to be one of the hardest obstacles to overcome. Hopefully as you adapt more and more, it will become easier to not be drawn to those Foods.
Happy Birthday Mitch! 🥩🥓
Thank you very much
I'm about 10 days in, and feeling pretty good. The only thing is that my wife and kids are still eating the Standard American Diet, but it's been a good exercise in remaining stable in my decision despite all the junk food in my home. I don't care, I'm doing this and in time they may see the results of my decision.
You won't regret it
I’ve got 2 Ball jars filled with bacon grease. I wait until it’s not scalding hot, put a coffee filter or paper towel over the opening and filter it into the jar.
Good idea
I do the same, I keep it in the fridge for future use cause I cook a lot of bacon and use it to cook my steaks and burgers and eggs with! I also put a lot of bacon grease in a skillet and brown a big chuck roast and then pour the whole thing in a crockpot for 6 hrs and it’s the best roast I ever had! Just bacon grease and roast. Even my family loves it and they aren’t carnivore or anything!
National sarcastic society , I can't laugh because its too true and sad .
Thankyou for your experience . Appreciate , slowly transitioning.
You are funny !!
I appreciate that, Nancy
@@OldGuyCarnivore thumb up .
Thank you Mitch!!
My pleasure!
Another masterpiece from Mitch. ❤
Thank you very much
Absolutely - Carbs are not a reward,
My treat is being truly hungry enough to eat my fill of meat, eggs , seafood. I don't snack at all except for a bite of cold butter to up my fat intake if I haven't taken enough fat in for the day-. In 4 days, it'll be 11 mo carnivore for me. I'm never going bac.k to carbs. 65 yo and thriving.
That's really great to hear, congratulations.
Hi love your videos! U should come out with an 'Old Gals Carnivore' tshirt too!!!
Great idea!!
Thank you, my friend. I think I'll pass on the AI
Thanks for your opinion
20:50 I am so guilty of that, making low carb pizzas or keto almond flour cakes. Those are the only "cheating" that I do. I know it's wrong and regardless of the macros, low carb or whatnot I am still feeding my feelings instead of fueling my body. I will work on it since I'd like to look half as good as you do in 25 years. Thank You
Keep at it, thank you
Thanks Mitch! 👍
You bet!
Love the t-shirt.
One of my favorites!
@@OldGuyCarnivore - nice.
Yes, you do have it down to a science!!
That's a matter of fact, I really enjoyed the egg cooked in the extra fat
Happy Birthday 🎁
Thank you cheryl, one week from today
Great video Mitch
Thanks 👍
Love your videos, just simple facts
I appreciate that
