Back in the 1980s, I was a massive VT100 fanboy. At college we had a bunch of cheaper terminals and ONE VT100 and every session on the PDP-11 was a race to see who could "grab" the real VT100! I know you're talking about Rust but the intro to this video is a journey into nostalgia for me. I had a copy of Turbo C++ too, I didn't actually develop any Turbo Vision apps but, as the IDE was developed with it, I saw it A LOT.
We Free Pascal people are still maintaining Turbo Vision in the form of Free Vision (and it works on DOS too), so you can give us a visit and try the experience :)
