Amazing that you found the courage to quit. Sometimes it's not easy to do especially if you are risk averse. What do you plan on doing for money? How much did you need to save before you felt you could quit? Also what made it so hard to quit? Did you feel like you are leaving corporate and finance forever?
Thank you ☺️ My biggest fear was caused by not understanding what I could do instead of my corporate job and fear of failing of course. At this moment I don’t think I would want to go back to finance.. So yeah it felt like I’m leaving forever.
Regarding savings, I made sure I had enough to cover all my expenses for a year to continue living at the same level. But to be honest I definitely was spending less and not buying unnecessary things. Priorities shifted 🩷
If you have a clear plan that can generate money sooner, I think savings to cover 6months can be enough. It all depends on the situation and your goals.
