Some individuals may go farther and interpret it as scorn at the actual individuals who invest themselves into a streamer or end up developing feelings for a streamer. It's an issue of vernacular. To some of the opinions of the commenters, it's not about being "based", it's about understanding what others understand differently than you. If a "based" person causes controversy, many time's it's not because they're transmitting the truth, but that the truth was transmitted in a way that caused misunderstanding. It's partly why I think people need to hesitate before just mimicking what they think is "based". The viewer, on the other hand, should challenge themselves to understand that differences of understanding exist, should assume the best intent, and should broaden their cultural horizons. But like the streamer, they're limited in reality, for example maybe some individuals don't have the emotional energy to endure harsh words in their relaxation time long enough to realize a different, more innocent intent. But both sides need to keep striving to understand and be understood better, there is no one-sided obligation.
