Your videos makes me feel at ease. Ive been taking online classes for 9 months now, while doing my full-time job of 6 years that Ive been feeling uninspired and unmotivated to work for lately. I feel like Im ready to quit my job at this point and focus fully on my studies and hopefully find a job in this new path and relocate somewhere different. My friend have told me that Im making the wrong decision to quit when my studies are still ongoing, that I should have a job lined up first. But I know I really needed the headspace to stay focus and study. Ive been feeling negative for too long and I need a reset. I'm setting up a meeting with my leader soon to get this over with. Thank you for your videos!
That's such a nice thing to say, thank you. I hope you're feeling more inspired and motivated again. How are the studies going? Hope the past 9 months have been good and transformational for you!
Thank you Iris this is a great video which resonates with me a lot. I am with my company (in tech) for 15 years, it pays well, work is not very demanding/stressful, in a lot of people’s eyes this is a ideal job; but I just don’t feel motivated to work and don’t enjoy the work anymore. Will try out the 3 steps as you suggested.
Hi Nick! Glad it resonated, and so good of you to follow how you feel despite what your job might looks like to the outside world 🙌 Hope these three steps will help you! If you have any questions or something specific that you’d like me to record a video on, let me know!
I took Information Technology in college, but I am trapped (currently working) in a customer service job for 10 boring years. What I regret the most is listening to my aunt that I should "love my job" 🤮 even it is not my chosen field, and to be contented with it. I am currently in talks with both the HR manager and the IT manager regarding my intent to transfer.
Interesting! I'm curious - why do you regret listening to your aunt? How's that shaped your thought processes and/or decisions? Hope the transfer will come soon, and work out for you. What are you hoping to transfer to?
