After his deployment in Vietnam my grandfather went on to work at Sears in Chicago and a year or so ago gave me his Pentax ME-Super with lenses and accessories. In the canvas bag he bought for it also, there was a filter catalog, catalog for more Pentax gear, and a photographers guidebook from 1981. Thank you for sharing your camera! I hope it works great and continues to work great! Also I had no idea Sears sold their OWN cameras
This is actually a great little camera. Yesterday I was taking photos of the wetlands around Lake Erie with this camera. Most photographers don't take Sears-branded cameras seriously, so they can be had for cheap on eBay.
I got one of these cameras last month at a yard sale. I will refurbish the light seals and take it for a field trip soon. Camera, a 50mm f-1.7, a 135mm, and a zoom ( 80-200mm ) , nice bag, and a flash.... I'm ready to have a little fun. Good thing is the camera has Pentax K-mount so my Pentax lenses work too.
Hi! I have this exact camera. I’ve used it before and all was great but left it untouched for a few years. Today I picked it up, new battery installed and film correctly. I’m having troubles advancing. The trigger is not going back as far as it should. Any help?

Sears branded cameras are often overlooked by photogs. They are actually great little cameras!
