Absolutely, I saw them sitting there and immediately thought of this kind of look.👍 They really add depth and natural feel to the tank, like a tree about to grow out of the tank. 😅
Hey Austin the mangrove roots add the perfect touch to that tank. It's really cool watching Mac swimming around them. Of course the big school of tetras polish it off. And I would say that their my favorite thing you came home with BUT I absolutely love angel fish. The set up on their tank looks fantastic and the hornwort definitely sets it up a few notches. But the angels are my favorite over all of the stuff you brought home 😊.
Those angels truly are beautiful. I saw them and just had to get them. Hopefully, I can hang on to them for a while and maybe get a chance to breed them a bit. 👍
It was great to meet you and Mrs. Freak at the Cataclysm! 😁 If I had known you were looking for angels, I definitely would have brought some for you 😉😊
I'm thinking I'll probably add more tetras later. At least another 2-3 dozen. Might be different kinds, might be more of these 2 kinds, haven't decided that part yet. 😅
@FintasticFreaks Nice! My favorite are Congo tetras, but I'd imagine you'd want faster swimming tetras, so maybe mix some black neons? That could look cool. 👍
How come they never swim with the tail ?? Every puffer I've seen doesn't use the tail fin for swimming? Can they or will they if they need to escape a bigger fish ?
That's what I've noticed. They'll use their back fin if the need to dash away from danger, but rarely for normal routine. Not fully sure of the full reasoning though. 😅
Loving the mangrove root, really makes the tank pop!

@@FintasticFreaks Definitely a night and day difference, really makes the tank!
the Cardinals look amazing in there
The color they add is awesome. I've been contemplating if I should get more. They look so cool in large groups.

You're welcome. And thank you for the well wishes of healing. 😊🐇
Nice symbiotic relationship between the tetras and Puffer :)
Thanks, they look and work great together! 👍
Totally gave the 510 a new improved look and function.

Awesome meeting you as well! All good though. I'm pretty happy with what I came home with for angels. :) 😀
I love it.
Man those those look cool in there! Really adds some beautiful color.
Absolutely agree. Thinking it could still use a bit more, but still looks great now too. 👍
The mangrove roots and tetras look awesome in the 510! Is this the final look, or are you thinking of adding more in the future?

@@FintasticFreaks I wonder if it conserves energy for the moment danger does show up. 🤔 Either way they are some amazing fish matter the size/type.
What species of tetra are they. they're moving that fast I can't tell
The red and blue ones are Cardinal Tetras, and the silver and red ones are Rummy Nose Tetras.
