Bolt some old rubber belts to protect the deck where your steel tracks go. That’s what our lowboys have on them and it saves the boards for a lot longer
Time to celebrate 🎊🎉🍾, first off...🙏 Grandmas doing well, 1st gen idle is fixed👍, trailer has landed at S&T’s ranch and it’s finally cooling off for a spell here in Northern Ca win win win win. Thanks for sharing👍👍👍🇺🇸
To treat your boards, thin down roof tar with fuel oil, diesel or gas, thin enough to paint on with a brush. Do it once a year, 40 years on the same oak boards and still holding up!
The hub issue could be from hanging brakes. But very nice to see you get some cool toys. Grandma looks good hope she is back to her old self. Take care and have a safe day
Hello , I would not stain the deck. I would use diesel fuel and transmission fluid. In a day or two it will be dry and it will not come off on your clothes. It will last a long time and outlast any stain , you can brush it on or spray it about every 5 years. I have a trailer 30 years old and the deck is as hard as it was when I got it new.
I’ve had issues with my hub seals leaking also. I was draining the oil in them and noticed fine wear metal from the bearings. I think that’s what eats the seals and causes them to leak. Since then been changing the oil often and using Conklin top spec. Haven’t had a leaky seal yet knock on wood.
Money money!! Lol. Beauty trailer love the long dove and how the axles are wider apart. More forgiving with how you load you gear. Good thing you got the bags now so you can load more weight on the truck. Lol
Hi Sam! My hydraulic jacks for lifting trailer off truck do the same thing. Have not found fix:( they do draw lot of AMPs from battery mine 440amps. Dump bed draws 220 weird. 5watt solar panels keeps everything fine. Looking forward to seeing trailer get used!!! Thanks for videos! Hard work pays off!!! Say Hi to your Dad!
Man oh man! What a nice trailer! I think you made a great choice with a Diamond C FMAX212. I’m looking at getting a similar one, the FMAX212SS or super single version. 4 less tires, same GVW. I’d really like to see more on your electric over hydraulic disc brakes. There’s virtually nothing on YT for that. A full tour of them and operation would be awesome. Definitely need some follow-up videos on your trailer. 👍🏼 I would also like to hear about some upgrade costs if you don’t mind sharing. Again, very little to no info available about pricing unless you’re talking to a salesman. I don’t like wasting their time asking silly questions. If I can find out this info beforehand, it really helps the entire situation out. Your experience with this greatly helps me and others spend their money wisely on trailer brands and features. I think you hit a home run. 🍻 Thanks for the videos.
V-BELT and SON - Congrats!!! i knew you would get a Diamond C once you saw them. I need that same trailer in a 40 ft so I can get rid of my PJ 40 ft with monster ramps
Its sounds like air in the hydraulic lines that needs too be bleed so the axle seems like there tight and need too be broke in but might be set too tight on the bearings but they are new!
Congratulations on buying the new trailer, wish you all the best. Thanks for leaving your review and making this video.. it looks like you covered it all including the old mans “HAT” he cracked me up.. and please keep us updated in the future as you use it..
Nice trailer. Benefit of having 2 trls. If you haul a piece home but need it back at a job next day or so and need to haul something else you could without having to unload
Arched deck 👍🏻 Lighter but stronger. Electric winch. Shallow dovetail. Wow !!! Nice buy. $$$ Now u gotta eat a bologna sandwich for breakfast, lunch, and supper. $😬
So happy you finally got a new Trailer, I love Diamond C trailers for the high attention to detail. I’m ready for some hauling videos yon the new trailer. Thanks BB
Hi Sam, good idea to recheck preload on bearings. Sure don’t want to loose a wheel bearing and have a set of duals coming off. Has enough miles to retorque the wheel fasteners. Like the trailer. Do you have enough boxes or will you have to add some side boxes. 👍
Would you share a ballpark price for yours please? I'm looking into getting one like you have with the air ride and want to get an idea what to expect for pricing?
Be good to see the jacks run with a full loaded on it. How did you decide on the length? the tail looks so long compared to the rest of the trailer, not a bad thing just interesting to see.
@@VBELTandSON yeah it is hard to clean off. We like using it because it sticks to the bearing in case the seal does fail less of a chance burning the bearings up.

Dang what a great video. I was glued till the very end. 👍🏻. The trailer “ seems “ to be top notch. A little concerning your seeing issues before you’re even loaded though. Hope it works out. Grandma looks great, glad she’s doing well.💪🏻❤️ The 1st gen was awesome too , looked a little rough though. As usual the engine outlast the truck. Lmao. Would check the brakes in addition to the hubs. Dry bearings will generate heat but nowhere near as much as dragging brakes. Not totally acquainted with electric over hydraulic but if using a standard electric brake controller, sensitivity could be causing enough residual pressure to cause brakes to not release fully.
@@VBELTandSON just a suggestion based on what I have experienced. The only time I have ever experienced hubs to hot to touch, I've had a dragging brake. Second, just by their very nature, discs develope more heat than drums, even with the vents in the disc. The hutch suspension is awesome. It’s one of the few thing I love about my bigtex but I’ve had roughly 23-24k on my deck with 10k axles and the suspension handled it like a champ and wasn’t squished like the traditional style suspension
do yourself a favor. since you have constant power to the trailer, put a gps locator on her so if "somone" takes it for a permanent test drive, you can live track it.
Hope you don't have the same problem with tires the other guys have had. It seems like that style trailer (or maybe just smaller trailers have a lot of issues). The big trucks I drove would have problems sometimes but the trailer was usually the last thing to need attention other than regular maintenance. I hauled equipment on a 50 ton carry all and the tires never had problems. I believe they're the same size too. I was thinking of getting one and going into business for myself not sure if I will now. Hope you are trouble free now. Have a good one.
I’m looking at the same trailer basically but I can’t decide if I need 30 total fee or go with 32 total fee after watching some of your videos about chaining down to the tail I want to haul to skid loader’s at once

You could have been a Good SAMaritan. Load up that dude on the motorcycle and give him a nice fast ride LOL. I like that oak planking. nice trailer - is your suspension called a "hutch"? I just got mine last week, exact trl except i got extra boxes and regular gray wheels, and i got 12" floor framing. I asked you about the remote before - yea so mine doesnt work all that great, the pump shuts off and on if not standing right next to trl so probably have to upgrade that to a lodar. Really disappointed because my left jack leg fell down loose and was dragging the road before i got home, so i had to strap it up, and when i parked it the first night i came out to a puddle of oil under the right leg, so yeah im pretty disappointed and it was a pretty long drive to go get it only to pull it back 4hrs and go right back before even using it... we'll see how diamond c treats me to see if i can smile again about it
Yeah hutch’s suspension or it’s the same that as that. But call dc and they will take care of you. I’ve seen what they are willing to do to make their costumers happy. And the remotes all suck. Some days work great but most time suck
Didn’t know you bought a duallie, and that new trailer is really sweet. I like the spread axles on the new trailer. Now do you need a CDL for your truck and trailer.
Awesome trailer! I do have a few concerns though, neither of which may apply to you. If you were to haul two pieces of equipment, or one long one, would the dove tail pick up a bunch of weight? Also, with the axles being farther forward, if you have weight all the way to the back, will it affect the balance of the trailer? Again, if you only haul one thing at a time, neither of these would probably apply to your situation. Congrats, and I hope you get the kinks worked out!!
DeHaven Family Farm yeah I was worried about that but it’s only about and inch or so toward and the dove is rated to lift 10k. My buddy arther hailed two skid steers lifted back one no problem
V-BELT and SON crossfire tire pressure equalizers, very worth the $. They hook up from both valve stems and you end up with one central stem to inflate both tires. You get a color tab to indicate +/- whatever psi you select. Makes pre trip inspections that much quicker/easier. Also they’ll cutoff pressure if a tire blows out so you don’t end up with 2 flats.
I live in Utah, and we have Maverick's everywhere. They always have good fuel, and it's cheap! Oh, and super nice trailer. Glad you got exactly what you wanted.

Diesel works good on decks. Or old motor oil
Nice trailer, hope you get all those issues fixed from the manufacturer 👍🏻👍🏻
Very nice trailer! Take good care of that and you'll have it for a long time! At least until the next upgrade haha!
CONGRATS ON THE TRAILER USE THOMPSON WATER SEAL ON DECKING BOARDS WHAT ARE THE LARGEST DISC BRAKES CAN YOU GET FOR THE DODGE ?
Dumb question. Is that front bumper chrome or polished aluminum? I like it but have never seen one like it before.
Polished aluminum
Thanks for replying!
Didn’t know you bought a duallie, and that new trailer is really sweet. I like the spread axles on the new trailer. Now do you need a CDL for your truck and trailer.
Donald Swink bought a dually? And I got my cdl before I bought my first trailer
Are you going to seal the stain on your deck?
Dude that trailer looks great. Lots better then Iron Bull. And battle mountain pretty good place. There’s some people there.
Awesome trailer bud. You def deserve it 😎👍 I cant wait to get my mulcher/skidsteer business set up. Proud of yah bud 😎
My buddy arther hailed two skid steers lifted back one no problem
great video! Are you still happy with diamond c trailers? Im thinking about getting one.
Yes I bought another diamond c. Won’t buy anything else
What’s up man I’m looking to but another gooseneck trailer I really want a diamond c also but what do you think about big tex
Big Tex is a waste of money. Cheap thin steal poor quality. Buy a diamond c 👍🏻
You should look into cross fire dually equalizers they are the best thing I ever put on my 24k tilt deck
ds250rider what is it?
V-BELT and SON crossfire tire pressure equalizers, very worth the $. They hook up from both valve stems and you end up with one central stem to inflate both tires. You get a color tab to indicate +/- whatever psi you select. Makes pre trip inspections that much quicker/easier. Also they’ll cutoff pressure if a tire blows out so you don’t end up with 2 flats.
Congrats man! Btw u might need to run out to TX to fill up on diesel. I just did at $2.19/ gallon. I think regular unleaded was $1.99
Looking good.
What is the total length?
I live in Utah, and we have Maverick's everywhere. They always have good fuel, and it's cheap! Oh, and super nice trailer. Glad you got exactly what you wanted.
Sales guy 5:29 " you're sagging straight" 😂😂😂
So did you find out what was wrong with the hydraulic jacks when it doesn’t have weight on them when it made that awful noise?
Yes. Houses were backwards. All fixed now
V-BELT and SON thanks for the reply like the channel very informative
I want that jack system on my 5th wheel toy hauler !!
YESSS!! I’ve been waiting so long to see it!!
The question is,if you add the weight to the trailer will hydraulics be slower to raise or lower the trailer.
george fulk I’m sure they will be
That’s a beautiful trailer!
Im currently running a car hauler. Thinking about switching to freight. Everyone is telling me to make the switch. Do you like freight?
I’m not a hot shot idk
I live in winnemucca and bought a trailer from them too that's awesome
Next time you out this way it would be awesome to meet you
So how much was it?
Well?
