I wasn't feeling well today & WOW, did you ever lift my spirits. I'm watching your vids in succession all day. I don't know what I love more...your incredible talent, your products, your humor, or your fashions & tats. Thank you for sharing your gifts with us!!
Love listening to your voice, who what why when where your ideas came from. Your ramblings everything you talk about is relevant and bliming theraputic. Getting Therapy for free here on TH-cam. Thankful to have discovered you. PEACE
When I got mine, I couldn't believe how lightweight it was. Perfect tool! ...and OMG, I love the journal pages in your book!! So colorful and extremely creative!! I guess it REALLY IS... "easy when you know how!" Lol! Thank you for sharing these videos; very helpful!
Thank you SO MUCH for the new video on more uses for your journal block! I have had mine for years, and its great for stamping- so versatile, and fits any size stamps. But now I have some fresh ideas , as usual from you. I know how busy you are with classes, so really appreciate your being able to find time for some of your VERY USEFUL videos. You are a superb teacher. Hope you are taking good care of yourself, with some time off for the odd breather. Not sure what a Reaveley MOT includes. Mine has to have prosecco, loud music and lolling around laughing. With affection and respect , as always, Beverly Anderson
Thanks so much for sharing. I recently bought the journal block and look forward to playing with it.I thank you for inspiring me every time I watch one of your videos. Thanks for all the tips.
I just find this video and I am absolutly happy about your tool. Now I have a tool to make my writings more beautiful! YAY! I just ordered it (and the tissue washi from Tim). I do love your products. Great!
Omg you are so good, and so much fun to watch. I went to a class in Pittsburgh that you taught many years ago. I do wish you were coming back again. Keep up the great work that inspires me every day.
Hi Dyan I am hooked on your video's but as my daughter tells me it is time to put something on paper. This is harder then most think. But with the help from you I am sure I will become a good doodler. Thank you and please keep showing your followers new technics. ps Love the dress you wear and make only you can pull this style off,
Forgive me for just finding the video, but I just purchased the 2 sizes of the Journaling Blocks in an art store. I love discovering products I don't already have. I'm about to have loads of fun! And the comment about "your friend, Dina," lol.
Love it ... "Doodle the doodles"!!! Big Dylusions fan and am saving for the Journal Block and the last jar of paint I don't have in Black Marble! Tim Holtz/Ranger/Dylusions items are VERY difficult to find in my area of TN. Our art/craft stores hardly have anything!! When I asked about it, I was told that they may not be getting any more in. WHAT???? I hate having to buy everything online, especially with the high shipping charges.
RANGER INK: I ***SOOOO*** wish the journal block came in a slightly smaller version. I love it but for my size of journal pages the waves are just too far apart. Any idea if it will ever come in a smaller version?
I found that by blotting the seam of the journal can help Eleviate the bleed through (since I was having the same problem). Then I go back with a paint brush if I've taken too much off. My work around works for me anyway. May help others.
+Leanne Priest I have one in my art journal that goes places with me & the other one is used as a stamp mount & doesn't leave my stamp room. Have a great day! Jil
Love you, love all of your products! I do love the journals and think that the paper you use is the best, HOWEVER, I've abandoned using the them because I struggle with keeping the inks from seeping through the seams and ruining my other pages. I've ruined so many pages that it's heartbreaking! I've never seen you use gesso on the seams - how do you keep everything so neat and keep the colors from seeping through the seams?
+Cathy Speerly Thanks Cathy but I've never seen Dyann do that in any of her videos. I hate using gesso. I never get smooth, colorful results unless I use a ton of spray.
You can also cover the seam with the tissue tape Dyan used in this video or you can use good old fashioned masking tape. Either tape will prevent ink, sprays, and paint from leaking thru onto the next pages
Suzanne, I don't like to use gesso with the sprays because it makes them milky - clouds up the colors. As Rosie said, I cover the seams with masking or tissue tape - seeping hasn't been a problem. If I'm using Dyan's paints (or any other medium less wet than the sprays) I don't usually cover the seams.
+Linda DesGroseilliers Hi Linda - yes - I never get a good finish with gesso. I've even tried to water it down a bit - blech! I hate using tape on the seams too - it just always shows through and seems really obvious to me. I don't have a problem with paint either. I guess it's just a problem with the sprays. I hate to quit using them! I think the easy solution would be a wire-bound journal.
I've stopped using her journal. It is so thick now through all the artristy, paint and gesso that I can no longer use it. I am left-handed and can't navigate over the hump. I am now using single pages of watercolor paper.
Have you thoughts about making tissue tape with your designs? Tim's designs are great but they are much more vintage inspired then your style. Just a thoughts.

Art can definitely COMFORT the disturbed. Watching many videos. Was gone to a very dark place. Dyans voice replay helps me. Amen and PEACE

You are amazing, so creative so clever
I love the journal block. I use it all the time. I do wish there was a ruler on one of the ends so you can measure from line to line. Love you Dyan.

Yes!!! Hate those shipping prices too. I look and say, $9.99 that is a stamp!
Joggles.com. Good sales and if you order $50 you get 50% off shipping . Scrapbook.com is another good one
Also Amazon has her books and supplies

I really want to know how she travels with these? What sort of handbags/ bag systems does she use to put these in ?????
Where can I find the JOURNAL BLOCK?
Can we get another curve pattern made with smaller scallops?
Thanks for the suggestion. We will pass it along to our product development team.
love your videos!!!! please do more :)
Great video! You are amazing! What is the brand of journal you're using?
AMANDA RANDOM
Please do more videos like this with different ways to alter your journal and different ways to use the journaling block and add doodles thank you
Dyan, I love your art journals but would really love a spiral bound journal. Any plans to make this journal spiral?
I love the way at 3:00 she says sharpie.....hysterical.
What are Dyan's favorite doodle patterns?
Hi Dyan, how can we get hold of your journal block?? Tnanks
Impressive! I have two of these rulers because I love them so much. Jil
+stampyra Why would you need two? Just wondering :)
+Leanne Priest I have one in my art journal that goes places with me & the other one is used as a stamp mount & doesn't leave my stamp room. Have a great day! Jil
So sorry for the repeats, you can tell I know what I'm doing huh. Lol.
Is this tool any different from a DIY one made with any hard plastic?
Love you, love all of your products! Suzanne, I gesso every page as I work.

Amazing! And I didn’t purchase it! Gotta go back to TM and get it! Multi purposeful! Love it!
WOW! You must sit in first class on an airplane! I hardly have room to write in a small journal in coach!
Brilliant ❣
Fabulous 👍🏻😍
Thanks for sharing, I will buy one

Are you black pages painted black?
Awesome!!

Tissue tape never really sticks for me.
I've stopped using her journal. It is so thick now through all the artristy, paint and gesso that I can no longer use it. I am left-handed and can't navigate over the hump. I am now using single pages of watercolor paper.
+Cathy Speerly or you could simply start the next journal from the back
+Cathy Speerly Where do you buy them???
Amazon has them.
Thanks Cathy!!!!!

Great tips! Thanks!!
I never had all that hassle, being a military dep. Just get my passport stamped (basically).
