We do driveway by hand all the time. We however always do a binder course and then top coat. These small driveways are just inefficient to bring a paver to, unload, get one stupid dump and then reload it. We can do them by hand almost just as quick. There’s really nothing wrong with this driveway if it’s the proper thickness

I can remember all those times that a home owner would approach me while pulling traffic control/flagging duty on Michigan roads & ask " Do you do private drives?"- Sure do. But I can't give ya an estimate, though.
Not gonna be a lot of weight on it nor traffic, grounds already been packed from years of parking on it, if the base and sub base are solid there is no need to rip it all up and do it over again would be a waste of time and money
Best video for *HOW NOT TO INSTALL AN ASPHALT DRIVEWAY* Defiantly don't hire these chumps, unless you like pissing away your money. Hire someone who has proper equipment and knows what their doing.
Whats the point of the garden rakes? I've been doing this for years and I knew right away it was gonna be a moto cross rhythm section with a bunch of shitty rock on top 😂
Garden rakes are better for the innital knockdown just to get the high spots into the low spots, it’s easier on the body, and the tool. The asphalt rakes are aluminum and can bend easy moving big piles. Also the garden rakes don’t bring the larger rock to the surface like the asphalt rake.
