I made something similar by accident by basically not competing the basic potentiometer circuit. I left the analogRead with just a wire and whenever I touched that against something with resistance it seemed to drop the reading to 0 which I could use to do whatever. I played a sound in my case

When i was 10 i built the first one but easier version by making the metals act like a switch so when the metals touch a light flashes.

Beginners in practical electrical engineering typically have SOME engineering experience. Why on earth are you trying to start off learning arduinos when you don’t even know circuits?

I just wanted to let you know in the beginning of project 7 that chirping you here isn't the ghost of a dead basketball player squeaking his shoes on the astral basketball court, it's your smoke detector needing a new battery. 9volt usually.

I noticed something weird with the traffic light project. The light turns green when the other turns yellow and it should turn green when the other turns red, no biggie just an accident waiting to happen.
I was just thinking those traffic lights looked dangerous! Glad I wasn't the only one 😉
I'm a traffic engineer and in fact there should be some time when every light is red, to allow vehicles that have already pass the lights, to evacuate from the intersection. :)

you can make a buzz wire game with a block of wood, some wire a buzzer and a battery, why use a sledge hammer to drive a tack ?

It's an arduino. The timing can be adjusted as you see fit. The fact that you took the time to write the comment shows some kind of misunderstanding towards what an Arduino is and what you can do with it.
