I think the parents deserve a fair blame in this case. They literally manipulated and forced him to marry a girl of their status and caste. Abhishek also deserves to be criticized. If he didn't like Supriya he should have not gone for a kid very early. He should have divorced Supriya and married Kajal. Some or Supriyas wishes were reasonable. But on a whole Supriya was a difficult to deal with person. She was from a rich family and was a little spoiled.

I watched this episode when it first came out 6 years ago, and I've watched it several times since then. This remains one of my most favorite episodes of CP, and also one of the most relevant. Never let materialistic things determine your choices in life. If you are in love with someone who reciprocates your feelings, you can build an empire with that person. Life will always feel incomplete without the person you truly desire, even if you are bestowed with all the worldly riches. Abhishek should have been determined to marry Kajal, come what may. Parents should realize that at the end of the day, the two people in a marriage should feel content with each other. I'm 100% sure that they chose Supriya over Kajal simply because of the dowry her parents could have afforded. No point in ruining lives.

As far as submitting to other's choices are concerned, he was like Abhishek here, where he was in a loveless marriage with a woman he married because of family pressure. Coming back to the story, Supriya would have gone ballistic had Abhishek asked her for a divorce. Even if she did divorce him, Abhishek would have lost a lot of money to her in alimony and child-care post divorce. In a way, he wanted to have the cake and eat it too, by having Supriya out of the picture without owing her anything and getting back Kajal. don't be a feminist here. you dont know the whole story and whatever this episode shows is ultimately portraying both women as as nuisance to the relationship . the wife is pissing all over the guy and her daily nagging are too much.second the girlfriend gave him the idea to kill the wife. they both decided to kill her so they both are guilty.
what women don't realise is ultimately their nagging and mind games are too much for a person to handle. they should tone it down a little. and there should be laws to protect men from women because apparently they are misusing it a lot for their own advantage. why does an educated independent girl need alimony(alms) from her ex husband. in todays time a divorced man faces a lot of trouble getting married again just like or even more than what a divorced woman faces. and since there are so many proponents of gender equality which i support myself to a practical extent. women are not equal to men . women are more socially adept and can understand and maintain relationships very well. men on the other hand are brutes more like animals , they work and protect. there are fundamental differences in brain of both the genders. women have to understand their nagging and shenanigans induce headaches in men.
if someone has a female boss chances are they will face her mood swings and wrath for about 4-5 days in the form of pms. how do you think women are innocent all the time? men are wrong mostly in a backward society where power is physical. in cities and educated society women are more to blame where law is above physical power. they misuse the system against men many a times.
so do not play a victim every time. and don't write off women like you did above. society is wrong and society is not made of men alone
