    It truley is a magical instrument! It was created for improv thru the spirit of love!! When I play it is never the same. Truley a very improvational instrument that leads to spirituality! 😀

    I like to think of a river and then the mud on the side of the river and then the turtles on the logs and then the cranes in the water and then the Blue Jays and the red birds in the trees and then the Hawks in the air sometimes my mind wanders different places but I think playing the Native American flute connects me with Mother Earth and maybe even the reason I'm here

    I'm a fiction writer and its crazy how much playing the native American flute feel like another form of writing, of creating a different type of language. I love it.

    My experience in playing is that it is the flute that takes me on the journey and not I imposing my will on it. Every key and octave has a unique experience to be shared

    I’m an experienced didgeridoo player looking to expand into the native flute world. Improv is my real interest rather than memorizing tunes. I just ordered your 4 hole Cherokee whistle and looking forward to trying it!

    I like to establish a theme when I begin. I then use the middle section to make variations on the theme. The end usually just comes around eventually. It's something I'm not really looking for, but when I hear it I know it's there. Another tip for those starting out improving would be to say in the "natural scale" of the flute. The pentatonic has no "wrong" notes. You can jump between any of the notes in the scale and it sounds good.

    I just finished ordering my first flute ,from you just now. Never played. I have watched lots of your videos in the past, threatening to make a purchase. I have hunted native artifacts for 20 years and just feel a connection with the sound of this instrument. I hope to learn the last of the Mohicans theme song.

    Appreciate the video, Mr. Charlie!
    May I request if you could make a video on how to make simple flute bags/case?

    Thanks i ordered your book cause i've caught the bug of making the whistles and want to try the flutes now. The first time I made a bamboo whistle and it worked after some adjustments i had to try another. I have a variety of bamboo on my property so plenty of materials. Thanks again

    I've found out that I can't breath and move my fingers at the same time 🤣 so playing my fluet become very staccato

    • @BlueBearFlutes
      @BlueBearFlutes  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      A simple trick to work through this is make yourself play slowly, only 1 or 2 notes, and purposely play legato and connected. It may take several tries to get into a new habit however I know you can do it!
