    03:05 is so good. Blue Shirt Guy (presumably a professional) moves to take over chest compressions and White Shirt Guy stops him with his arm because: "He gives two more ventilations..."
    Even the pros can make mistakes. Practice, practice, practice.
    Also, that plant really ties the room together.

    Thank you sir for verbal and visual information by providing us information and demonstration as well. Before I watch this video, I was curios about two man cpr by reading our book reviews of physical therapy.

    I know that the question was asked over a year ago but for those who see it and wonder as well, without an advanced airway in place, the airway will not be open to accept air while compression is given. With an advanced airway, cpr changes to at least 100 bpm, with breaths from a ambu bag (bag mask) every 6-8 seconds because the advanced airway keeps the airway open.

    I’ve done CPR on an 18 year old boy at the beach two years ago he flip over in the water & couldn’t breathe. I yelled for my friend to get the CPR holder & she couldn’t get it fast enough so I just did mouth to mouth bc I didn’t wanna lose him

      Is it okay to do mouth to mouth without training? Like 30:2 (rescue breaths)?

    I worked at a scouts BSA camp and I got in trouble for demonstrating CPR on a live person like this paramedic is doing. Is he only allowed to do it because he's a paramedic/certified instructor? It's possible there's some rule against it specific to scouting that I'm unaware of but I have yet to find it.

      What happens if you try to save the patient but unfortunately they don’t survive. Is it your fault if your uncertified?

      I don't know about about rules. But if you are doing it as it's supposed to be (2 inches deep) in a live person, you could break their ribs, so I guess that's the problem. Even them on the video are not doing it as deep as it's supposed to be. But if you are just demonstrating and not actually pressing then I don't see the problem.

    how hard do you press? because i would be scared to further hurt the person haha...

    • @alecmadman
      @alecmadman 9 ปีที่แล้ว +11

      At least 2 inches in depth. Enough to get blood flowing. If you are doing it correctly you will feel the cartilage between the sternum and the ribs to crack and break. You aren't gonna be gentle with the patient. You are trying to maintain bodily functions until the AED arrives

    • @entropy5157
      @entropy5157 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      You have to press hard ... sometimes the ribs may bruise or even break during CPR but that's okay cuz saving the patient is important .. ribs can be treated after the patient is revived.

    If you are needing to perform CPR the patient is all ready dead. They won't feel any pain.
