    I’ve had games where footstep audio is not nearly as loud as it usually is, I’ve shot enemies and somehow missed my shots, I’ve had enemies spawn right next to me. This game does everything in its power to ensure good players get pushed down and bad players get pushed up it’s insane

      I ESPECIALLY have gone through that spawning next to enemies thing, ESPECIALLY on shipment. I havent played cod in a WHILE, but i only remember having to deal with that in cold war, i fr dont believe that thats a normal thing

      @@isamiah00 it's definitely a normal thing for shipment the maps too small, but I think in general when it happens (only happened to me a few times, but they DO like to set you up for an immediate rematch spawning you right around a corner lol) it's because their spawning system now is all about shoving you back into the action as quickly as possible as well. I'm not 100% sold on all this quicknerf stuff being actually used yet, but giving a way lower TTK and trying to speed up gameplay would both be good ways to hide it.

      @@bananaman4613 pretty simple. if a bad player gets a kill that bad player is happy. a happy player is more likely to pay. and if the bad player is suddenly good in your game and absolutely trash in other games the bad player is more likely to play your game over the games he is bad at. this results in the bad player having even more opportunities to buy skins or lootboxes or any of the shitty cash grab things in the game.
      Tldr: more shitty cash grab design, bad player is happy when he makes lots of kills and happy player = more shit bought.

    There's definitely something going on. This game doesn't want you to do get better. It wants to push you down when you do well.
    I firmly believe there are algorithms in place to manipulate engagements and outcomes.

      Yeah, even Warzone 1 I never really felt cheated. Yes SBMM was bad but there was nothing more to it. I'll lose so many more fights I should be winning and my aim just won't work

    I've definitely felt this even mid game, many times I'll have great hit detection at the first half of the domination or kill confirmed game and will be going like 15-3 or 20-8 and all of the sudden its like a switch flipped and my bullets take longer to kill someone or just stop connecting half of them at who I'm shooting. It feels like the game messes with your hit detection as soon as you start out performing the lobby you've been placed in.

      Indeed, I play mostly HC FFA and after some kickass matches where everything connects and guns work like a charm, all of a sudden, I miss shots, hits don't register, weird shit happening. Also, spawns suddenly are impossible to counter and generally it feels like I'm with my butt in the enemy's barrel. Not to mention inconsistency between your hits vs enemy hits where sometimes it feels like he has autoaim laser headshot one eye closed.

      Yall couldn't notice this in black ops 2. Firing range I would kick ass first half then a switch flipped and the other team seems to be beaming me all of a sudden or vice versa. I've been playing online shooters since 01. One thing I've learned is that no game is completely balanced when playing online

    Right after getting the mp7 gold I was complaining about how many shots it took to kill someone. Right after that I watched someone else's gameplay with a stock MP7 and they were clearly killing people in 1-2 less shots.

      It's true. Somehow this level 32 player kills me with the TAQ-M with only 2-3 shots, but that gun is not even close to meta. So i picked up his gun thinking it was the new meta, but it took me 8-10 shots to kill the same dude. And then sometimes, even with the striker it takes me 9 shots to kill certain players, but then it only takes 3-4 shots to kill bots and others.

    The game decides who's turn it is to have a good game and that's it. They will get all their Killstreaks get the best spawns, best hit detection. I've literally turned off aim assist and my gun still does this thing where my gun WILL NOT go on target no matter what. It's like trying to push two magnets with the same polarity together.

      Hilarious. I just commented the same thing. You summed it up perfectly. I'm on PC and my friends say I'm using a controller to get aim assist but I tell them I don't ever feel like I get it. It's the opposite. But you can't prove it. So they think I'm crazy.

      Hasn't this always been the case? First it was the host, then it was whoever had a really bad connection, now it's just sbmm. It's always been inconsistent with a good match, then a bad one etc. It's definitely worse here, but nothing new to CoD.

    There’s definitely something going on with the hit detection. I’ve experienced this same thing & I didn’t say anything because I just figured it was me. I’ll use the same gun in multiple matches, and it’s fascinating how it feels so much different from match to match. Especially with the semi automatic & bolt guns.

      @@GhostofTerra This. I've watched myself nail a guy in the face in Tier 1 lobbies with any one of my AR's (one to the dome lethality), and absolutely _nothing_ happens. Yet two deaths later, works just fine. I don't get it.
      I've actually had teammates legit _watch_ me light a mf up and only get one bullet to hit him, and question it just like I did.

      I have a clip recorded where I knifed a sniper that was mounted in the back. I swiped at him 4 or 5 times and nothing happened. I then started assassinating him and his teammate shot me and he came back to life LMAO. I have said many times where did my bullets go when I am shooting a guy square and they turn on me and instantly delete me.

      @@GhostofTerra i thought i was going crazy. I have been messing with my settings because i could just tell something was off. Not when running around and aiming. But during gunfights. I am an average player but i have a feel for certain guns and can kinda tell how many shots can kill someone depending on what gun. Some times i stop shooting when someone should die but sometimes it takes 5 more shots. Could swear sometimes my shots just go through people.

      Same. I could empty say half a 60 round mag on someone, maybe miss a few shots ngl. Then the enemy turns and kills me in like 2-3 bullets. No more IW. Cold War had strong af sbmm, but at least everything else was consistent. No random excess hitmarkers. If you had the weaker weapon, you'll certainly lose. Simple as that. This is my last IW game. No more sledgehammer, no more Infinity Ward. I'm done.

    It happens to me a lot that someone runs up to me and I hear nothing, but as soon as I start running I'm detected by an enemy.. Its VERY aggravating. I've been thinking my headphones or my audio settings are wrong.. but I guess I'm not the only one who's been f'ed over by the game

    The thing with SBMM is that it's designed to keep you engaged by giving you ups and downs. You may do bad in a few games but when it's your turn to do good, the game hands you a win. Or if you do good a couple games then it's your turn to do bad so the algorithm manipulates your game so no matter what you do you lose.

      True, but the issue is that if you're in the upper range of skill, then your "good" matches are more likely to make people leave the game and not come back. If a 0.5 K/D player has a really good match, then they might get a VTOL or something and like 15-20 kills, and everyone will still have fun. If a 2.0 K/D player has a good match, they'll get multiple VTOLs, maybe a nuke, and finish with like 50+ kills. NOBODY, including your team, will have fun in that match, because it'll end quickly, and the enemy won't even be able to fight back. Little Timmy isn't going to want to keep playing if he experiences that and breaks his controller.

      @@angel2jimenez219 Yeah there's plenty of people that do put effort in to improve and don't get discouraged by failure, we're both alike in that sense. But a lot of people aren't, and CoD needs to maintain as many players as possible. It might even be a conservative estimate to say at least 50%+ of the people playing don't have the time or interest in getting better at CoD, they just want to play a game to have fun, and those are the people Activision would lose to a few matches where a 2.0 K/D player has a good game.

    Ok glad I wasn’t tripping. I noticed this in the firing range and it happens from time to time in pub matches. When you’re 100% on target, get shots off first, and zero hit markers to follow suit…yet the enemy kills you when you clearly should’ve won that gunfight.

      That's why the flinch is so off the wall. So they can deny your first couple shots and now you flinch heavy and it's impossible to win the gunfight even though you got on target first.

    I played this game last night and was experiencing the same thing with the hit detection. Whenever I was shooting somebody and there were moments I don’t get any hit markers in between every other hit-marker I was getting. This game is truly something very special

I’d go fucking crazy in the first round of dom, just absolutely slaying everyone and then in the second round I’m shooting Marshmellos that don’t connect to their target and I start losing the gunfights I was just winning.

    What infinity ward doesn't understand is that when you slap these nerfs on people and there shots don't register, it makes it so much easier on the cheaters to just remove those limitations on themselves and just one shot people, while your own shots do absolutely nothing.

      YES, as someone who's developed game cheats before this very true. This is the reason why in game anti cheats are not effective long term (the reason war zone is full of cheaters) for an anti cheat to be successful it needs to monitor the players device for malicious files / processes.

I'm not into the politics of it all but I'm sure they want cheaters to a certain extent for a reason unknown to me. They don't even have to make their own anti cheat, there are a handful of extremely successful anti cheats out there for pc clients.

      Theres no traditional spawns anymore, ever. They use a "squad spawn" type system, with a hint of "revenge spawn". You will almost always spawn on or near a teamate, and in smaller maps the revenge spawns spawn the enemy you or your teammate just killed near where you killed him, so he recognizes hes pretty much in the same spot, he knows exactly where your at and how many of you there are

    Genuinely feel that, the game will rope you in with an easy first match, you feel like a God, hitting your shots and mobility through the roof, next match is played like tourny finals and everyone is pop shotting your head with literally any gun imaginable and you never hear them or see them just dead over and over.       Hit it on the head as this happened to me this morning. Had a good first game, next game, these players were hopping, jumping, trick shots, doing insane movements I didnt even know you could do in COD. This SBMM stuff is the worst Ive seen. Had to get off for a minute, a guy shot me from the other side of the Shoothouse map with a PISTOL! Nevermind Im spraying this guy with the Icarus. Nope, his two or three bs shots from waaaaaaaaay across the map wins that gunfight. He didnt get hit once, an I was aiming right at his torso. Had to smoke a cigrarette after that cause wow, what have they done to this game.

      glad people or shedding light on this, dude last night I’m partied up with a homie, just chillin grinding plat marksman rifles on shoot house,40 kill games back to back pretty enjoyable matches, next couple games I get matched with people I’m not even sure are human flying around corners into drop shots, back to back to back vtols, holding every angle, flashes around every corner, can’t even leave the spawn man it blows

    I think the devs intentionally left the dodgy hit reg in the firing range in as a "look what they made us do" kinda statement. Like there's no way no one picked up on that and thought to take it out. I believe their hands were forced in a lot of the decisions and probably had to sign nda's about skill based stuff. I'm pretty convinced there is literally skill based everything in this game tbh, hence the "most advanced".

    A little unwanted feedback/observations. I recently put in a lot of time, I'm talking 8hrs per day for 3 months. I improved a lot because I tried hard to get better. Everytime I leveled up a gun, it was awesome, but as soon as it's maxed it becomes subpar. But besides the guns getting worse once i max them, my nerfs are more frequent and bigger. The better I have gotten, the better the nerfs have gotten. I'll play like a god, then just get annihilated for days. At the end of my nerf term, I am defeated, I camp, zero confidence to peek out a window, to move out of cover. I keep receiving 14 day chat bans with my mic off, 5 in a row. Let me tell you, when chat banned, every lobby feels like a shadow ban lobby. As a platinum 3, I am getting 15 crimsons and 6 iridescents in my ranked resurgence lobbies. I flew to 5277 SR with barely any SR loss, but now lose SR every match. My lobbies are polluted with players who clearly can see me through walls, and they will hunt me down no matter where i hide. Why do i hide and run? Because cheaters are impossible to face when nerfed to the ground. They always make a perfect attack sandwich, pushing both sides in perfect synchronization.

    I experienced the hit detection issue today. Went 33-8 playing TDM, then the very next match I pumped 24 rounds (out of a 30 round mag loaded in the M13b) into a dude charging at me in a straight line with a knife (Shoot House map). As the dude got within 3 meters he finally succumbed. The hit markers didn’t start landing until about the 20th round. I was running the blue dot optic, and was static (camping) while throwing lead. As soon as I exploded with anger, there was another dude in my lobby experiencing the same thing but multiple times. It was unbelievable.

      Played a game last night. Went ham as fuck and top fragged and got the most objective time. Next best person on my team was 10 kills behind and had 5 seconds on objective. I immediately just got off after that game. It's not fun playing really well then losing constantly because I'm the only one trying to win.

      Not surprisingly, many features in MW are bugged, why not SBMM too? They def messed it up and these clips on youtube with unlimited hitmarkers, non register bullets and other weird aim assist inconsistencies may results of bad SBMM implementation. Its hard to test it without the playerbase and they will finetune it for sure. Not allowing the devs to talk about it is very suspicious too.

    I'm glad to not be the only one thinking the same about the SBMM, Sound, and basically everything you spoke about. These developers are one hundred percent responsible. also, My KD has gotten worse for the last six COD games. Had a burst during Cold War, but all the others were a major drop. I chalked it up to age at first, later started to realize what is really going on behind the curtain. It's obvious they are deliberately making games to frustrate and upset players. It feels like all the fun is disappearing from COD unfortunately.

    After a very WEIRD feeling game where I got stomped, following another game where I was the one doing the stomping, I got a little survey in-game "Did you enjoy the last match you were playing"? My hits were all missing, enemies seemed to know exactly where I was as if there was permanent advanced UAV on, and whenever I did land a shot it was never a one hit kill. I had ZERO AUDIO and I MEAN ZERO all I hear is stuns and gunshots from across the map, then people in my killcams have crystal clear audio. I do 100% believe they want to balance the playing field to increase sales

    I've noticed this when playing with snipers. If you hit any limbs its a one shot, but the chest... hit markers everytime. There were even gunfights I've lost because of bullets straight up phasing through people.

      The servers in this game are dogshit so it probably just looked that way. Also not a lot of people know this but kill cams are purposely sped up slightly. So what you see in the killcam is not an exact replication of what actually happened on their screen.

    Last night, we had an invisible enemy in war zone. I recorded the whole thing, and at first we thought maybe he was under the map, but he actually swam across a river and killed one of my squad mates point blank. The only thing we were able to see was his muzzle flash.

    Hey Truth, try going around with a riot shield and count how many times on an SBMM match that you will have to hit someone 3 times before they’re eliminated instead of the usual 2. I’ve had this happen a number of times and it basically was the point that convinced me that it had Cold War level SBMM where the game actively rigged matches against you as you played.

      This is true! I now and then riot shield and knife to have a laugh plus break up the SBMM a bit and get 3 hitmarkers sometimes with the riot shield. No stim in between just 3 straight meles.

      shield vs throwing knife melee. Shield loses 8/10 times because the knife ignores the shield. Every time I see a shield, I melee with my throwing knife and the riot shielder dies. The shield is terrible compared to mw19

    I agree hit detection is based on how well you have been doing. I've had 3 matches in a row when i had like 20 kills and less than 10 deaths. the next 3 matches in a row, i wasnt getting hit markers or even when i get 3 or 4 hit markers the guy turns around and seems to one shot me. its unreal.

      They're pandering to bad/new players so they don't rage quit the game. Problem is while they'll get 1 new player to stay due to this, they're losing full lobbies of people who get tired of dying in every encounter even though they spend hours practicing and putting together the perfect classes.     This pretty much answers my questions as to why after getting "x" number of kills in a row and doing well, on the next opponent encountered, 3-4 of my initial first rounds seemingly pass right through them with no effect and I get waxed.
    I've also watched other players literally absorb my semtex/grenade blasts as if they're impervious to explosives.

    To explain the skill based footsteps, it's pretty likely that he was just one running one field upgrade (just dead silence), while you were running two. If you run dead silence + another field upgrade that has a longer charge time, then the charge time of your dead silence will be longer. If your scores are the same, you would have to get slightly more score for you to boost the charge time of your field upgrades.

    Imagine this for a second. Not only can they increase playtime of all the average players by keeping everyone performing around a 1KD, they also have the ability to do really shady shit. Like give you a good hour of games when you buy a bundle in the COD store, so you subconsciously connect buying stuff from them with fun because of the serotonin release. Psychology can be weaponized by professionals. They could literally be getting kids ADDICTED to buying bundles from the store this way. I know how we can prove they're doing it, and I'm going to make it happen.

    I was thinking the same thing. It feels like there is some type of SBMM that affects aim assist and/or damage. It feels like some players i'll get less aim assist on, and i'll get more hit markers on them consistently in a game compared to other players on the enemy team. Like the game wanted that person to have a good match, so they made them have more health and harder to lock on with aim assist.
    It could totally be some weird server or ping thing i'm sure. But considering Activision has patents on real time SBMM algorithms it feels like it could be intentional. The TTK is so fast that a very small percentage change to health and aim assist would sway how well a player performs.

      I had two games on firing range last night with this exact problem. 1st game, I'm melting people, and had an amazing showing. Next match, there was one guy who I literally had to shoot in the back to kill. I would get the required number of shots to kill, they wouldn't die, and I was immediately getting melted. It felt so damn fishy, I'm convinced that they are lowering health, or reducing damage to compensate for previous performances.

    Normally at my casual level sbmm normally misses but in this game it's unbelievable, I ran a few games and did terrible then one game just went off and you could actually tell the enemy team were worse but I felt my bullets connected better. I almost feel that the gunfights are random in some games it's bizarre.

      Same here, a bunch of games I just couldn't hit shit no matter what, then I played again a couple hours later and what do you know, same gun, same loadout, same PC, but everything was hitting that was supposed to hit instead of drawing an outline of the guy that's deepthroating my barrel. It's weird how I can consistently go from 3.0 KD to 0.1 KD without changing anything about myself.

      I have these games but I've said "I definitely fuckin hit him" like maybe 3, or 4 times since it came out. I was a young teenager but I said it way more when the original MW2 was out (and I was WAY better at that one.

    Hey Anthony, it's about time you covered this, I was talking to this friend of mine about the various issues I have with the game, including the algorithm that seemingly makes your gun do less damage the more you have positive matches, yesterday I asked him if I was just being the Alex Jones of call of duty, he said yes.
    Fast forward to today he's experiencing the same shit, mind you, I have a 1.2/3 KD, his KD and overall skill level is lower, but if it's happening in his lobbies too then there's definitely confirmation it's happening, I played siege for 7 years and my aim is always on point, I'm really good at tracking players (I play on kbm) and I kid you not, I've had problems with this game since the first day I (unfortunately) bought this piece of shit of a game.
    For reference, my first match I was headshotting people like crazy with the AUG SMG (or whatever the fuck it's called in this game) and it took me 2 bullets to the head to kill one guy, fast forward to the third match and I have to shoot at a guy in the head 5 bullets before he dropped like a sack of shit. Just like this game when I'll throw it in the woodchipper.

      Yeah I also play on PC with kbm, I have a clip of me getting about 15 hitmarkers on one guy with the MP7 at close-mid range, so I think we can also confirm that there's skill based damage reduction implemented in this pile of trash. Not to mention how frustrating it is constantly facing controller players with aim assist set to Black Ops and Dynamic, so they pretty much have aimbot in this game. I have never had an issue with aim assist in any game ever before this one, and I actually tried it out on controller and was getting the most ridiculous busted kills that I should have never even gotten.

      I also had this issue. Gun I used usually is like 1 shot headshot and upper body. Did that for like 3 games then all of the sudden nobody was dying to 1 hit anymore. Even headshots

      What pisses me off is the fact that most marksman rifles can actually stop your gun from firing and slow down your ads movement speed. I'll be ADS, firing at someone's head, getting hitmarkers, then suddenly my gun just stops firing before he even gets a shot off. All he has to do is aim down sites at you. We've tried this in private lobbies and 100% it not only stops you from firing, but it slows you down completely. So if they are to the left of you, aiming down sites at you and you try to turn quickly to your left, you are slowed down considerably without then when firing one shot. But you can seriously get 2 to 3 head shot hitmarkers and all they need is one shot anywhere on you and your are dead. It's absolutely ridiculous.

    Thank you for uploading this I felt like I was going crazy, nice to know more people are experiencing the same things. As for the weapon sway, same was happening to me, i started doing builds with all attachments that reduced sway and go way more consistent hit markers, only thing I can thing of is that the weapon sights don’t accurately reflect how your weapon is moving.

    Blame, Let me ask you something very important that could possibly be a game changer when it comes to exposing Activision’s insidious methods for implementing SBMM & proving your theory ( It’s not just a theory ) about SBMM effecting your hit detection, spray pattern & much more.
    Q: Do you remember a few years ago, maybe circa 2016-2017 (Infinite warfare / WW2) when documents from Activision were leaked showing how their SBMM was designed to function & what it effected? I swear i remember the documents describing exactly what you are talking about in this video; Effecting hit detection, sound, spray pattern & many others things. It was all laid out like a map / flow chart. This was also around the time of the big EA FIFA Loot box algorithm manipulation news which overshadowed the COD leaks faster than Elden ring overshadowing Horizon: Forbidden West.
    See if you have someone that can send you that document; I know it exists somewhere on someone’s computer. There is no way nobody saved it when it was released.

    Season 3 feels like absolute trash.
    My audio is no longer giving the correct cues or I get no audio at all. My shot accuracy is WAY off. It almost feels like its purposely making me miss shots that don't have to do with recoil, it feels very odd.
    25% of my bullets feels like they aren't registering.
    We can all feel it, thats why everyone hates this game.

    It feels as though the Aim Assist resist issue from Cold War exists in this game. So many times I try to adjust my aim whilst on target in the heat of a gunfight and it feels as though it just locks on, preventing me from aiming towards the head or tracking the enemy.

    I’ve been saying this for the past two weeks as well, ESPECIALLY if you’re on a good kill streak , your hit markers will not register. I’ve clipped examples a handful of times on my ps5 , it’s ridiculous.

    About the audio bit, if the opponent is using dead silence, the border of the screen will have black streaks or marks slightly rotating as if you did have it activated yourself. In the clip you showed, he definitely did not have it. You also would have heard him activating it with your enhanced audio because he just spawned to your right. You are 100% correct, there are stupid algorithms at play here, and as an avid MW2019 player, they were there too. This hidden nonsense is beyond frustrating and your targets in the firing range happen to also be the same ones I shoot at. In game it is noticeable when shots miss when they shouldn't, ESPECIALLY, when I am using anything semi automatic like marksman or battle rifles

    I noticed the same thing happened to me. I used the MK2 and slapped with it. I went into the shooting range and watched 3 bullets in a row not even register a hit marker and I was hitting the torso. However, I went into a game and it did the same thing to me against live players

    I noticed hits are off a bit when I was trying headshot challenges. Felt like I was shooting a musket sometimes. First shot ADS with a rifle should be straight.

    To add on, I'm 80% certain that there is some form of system that moves the hitbox ahead of the player model because I can see gunshots and then die, but the person's model shows up a quarter second later

    I have gotten to the point where when I know I am in a match where the algorithm is screwing me over by disabling my aim-assist, nerfing my hit registration, or buffing enemy damage, I just leave the match until I get into one where at least it feels like my deaths were my fault, and not the games.

    Manipulation? Seems more like a glitch to me with the sounds. I've dealt with footstep issues so many times. In 2019 the footsteps were terrible for like a year until they fixed it.

    I don't know if it's skill-based or something else but I definitely had moments where I would shoot somebody and they would kill me and in the kill cam it shows me not firing a single shot. I genuinely think it might be a sort of bloom.

      I often play 1 to 2 seconds behind other players. The other day I ran a player over. Hit him square in the center of my hood, his body rag rolled and flew in the air. I jumped out to get his loot and guess who was standing there pre-aiming me? Yep, the rag doll. I watched the kill cam and he jumped out of the way barely in time in his screen despite being completely run over on my screen. This is the way I've always had to play warzone ... a few seconds behind.

    I was testing this on stream yesterday.
    Something is up, beyond servers. For the firing range to have in game results, it's a curious matter now. There's a damage/reg issue that goes deeper than what most are perceiving.
    Skill Based Damage, imo, IS active. At least real time adjustments, as shown with how Ricochet adjusts hackers abilities in real-time.

    I've read that someone called it engagement based matchmaking, which goes further than SBMM. They said that the game monitors everything you do in real time, whether it's giving you worse hit detection, lower or up your hp. Footstep volume, and etc all in an effort to increase you and your opponents engagement toward each other. You can also even see the patent Activision has for it

      It's so obvious. when you die in 2 shots to the chest from 20 meters by a whale using a gold m4, but when you use an m4 it take 5 shots to the chest from less than 10 meters, something is obviously rigged

    People keep talking about how the TTK is high in MW2 but I swear for me it's ridiculously low. I'll hear 5-8 hit markers go off and not get a kill. I get 1 maybe 2 kills per mag. I have good internet, low ping, play on a wired connection and use keyboard and mouse as well. The wierd part is when i decided to try using a controller the TTK was incredibly higher. I think it's a mix between me going positive in most of my games and using keyboard and mouse that the games suddenly decided "we need to give this guy a handicap" and made my TTK lower than normal players. It's messed up.

    I have the same thing you was talking about at the end . First game or 2 on I hit 90% of my shots then I'll be in a swet lobby and can't hit a single shot on target . I'm noticing the aim assist preventing me pushing aim onto players aswell like a repeling magnet effect . ✌❤

      I have turned off aim assist before out of curiosity and it still happens like you explained. It's built into the game. Probably happens on M&K too.

    I would believe that all of the above are true. I feel like the algorithm is designed to buff and nerf players based on their skill level, aggression and movement patterns. I could also say that this is expected because it takes 6.months for the devs to fix the bugs, which is not acceptable regardless.

    Anyone who doubts this just hasn't played the game, plain and simple.
    I play DMZ which is still MW2 and it happens every game. If you start shooting someone first, especially if they're not looking at you, your bullet damage is nerfed. You see it all the time, someone shoots first, doesn't miss a shot and still dies first. It's crazy

    When I would go up against lower level players my bullets seemed to go straight through them or it would take 2x the bullets to kill them. But it would never happen against an equal level or higher player

    The sound problems that cod is having for the last few years is because of "sound occlusion."
    Its a thing that they have been trying (and failing) to put into games for like 4 years now. I discovered it in cod 2019. The engine of the game calculates how much sound should reach to your characters ears according to how many objects said sound has to pass through.
    I discovered it while playing with a friend in a private game. I realized totally by a freak accident that if he ran towards me with a telephone pole between us the sound his steps made were TOTALLY muffled. It went from him clearly running up to me to sounding like he strapped cotton to the bottom of his shoes. If he moved even 3 inches to the left or right I would hear him clearly again.
    Its the engine that's messed up. And the reason footsteps were clear as day in other cods was because they didn't try to use this crappy "audio occlusion" so if a person had line of sight or even if there was a wall separating you... you would still hear them with the same volume.

    Started using taq v and it was insane, super quick ttk, all round blitzed. As it levelled up all of a sudden it seemed like the shittest gun in the game, could hardly get kills with it. I stripped off the minor underbarrel attachment and stock that I put on it and nope, the gun just didn't kill anything anymore. I swear first time using a gun they make it godly and then as it gets higher levels it gets more and more nerfed until you complete came challenges and then they make it "normal" again.

      In Warzone 2, it's exactly like what you are describing. I don't have mw2, so day one, I had to use floor loot. Honestly, most of the floor loot felt amazing. Then I start leveling guns... nearly every single one seemed to be less effective by the time I was 3/4th through leveling them. It felt like the weapon was actively getting worse even without changing any attachments. The best example is the kastov 7.62, which the floor loot ones vastly outperform the custom ones. I can pick up the 2 attachment kastov and murder folks but making the same gun in custom it sucks.
      This game definitely has some sneaky stuff going on in the background. Problem is I'm not sure if it is intended or something broken because every company working for Activision is inept?

    I’ve had another issue regarding this game. I’ve been using ars to grind for camos (basic stuff) and sometimes when I shoot, it often takes 5 shots for it to kill.
    The problem is that with 5 hitmarkers, it’s impossible. The bullets you need for the ars I’m using is 4 hitmarkers.
    Let me say that again. I need 5 hitmarkers for a 4 shot to kill weapon.
    Also, forgot to mention, I have the same problem YOU are having rn. I time I point blanked someone with a shotgun, it didn’t do anything

    I've experienced both the issues you've just talked about, no hits when you're on target and my aim assist not working from time to time. This games got me so pissed I haven't touched it in almost a month. I used to love cod now all it does is make me rage. F**k the developers their not getting any more of my money.

    I swear the hit reg thing was happening in cold war. It's a big part of why I stopped playing. My other half would be sat next to me and ask why there were no hit markers even though you could see missed bullets hitting walls

    This has also happened to me wayy to many times too, where a guy’s footsteps are completely inaudible even when he doesn’t have dead silence, *(I actually spectate death cam)* the footsteps are either inconsistent as fuck, or the game is actually just messing with us

    For the footstep audio, I think he could have had dead silence on. You are using a double field upgrade which makes them charge slower

    Glad I’m not the only one who can feel all the fishy shit going on with this game. SBMM, EOMM, game bugs, bad servers…I don’t know what it is.
    Also the fact that many of my friends don’t want to play with me because my lobbies are too sweaty. And the matches I do play with them at first are easy for me and still hard for them. I just want to play with friends, have fun and enjoy a relatively bug and scum free game.

    I have a 1.25 to 1.30 kd always bouncing up and down, every single match I have is a sweatfest. Every single time my kid starts dropping below 0.75 in game and I feel like i won't be able to bring it back up I leave the lobby. Like Im that much of a try hard.
    I have been convinced that the people I'm up against are cheating, my audio is rarely working (I'm relying more on game sense then it anyway), half of my shots normally register, people have gotten aim assist on me through fucking walls, I have gotten 3 tapped by smgs at long range while my SO--14 is taking 4-5 shots same range. It's a variety of things that make me feel like I'm being fucked with.
    SOMETHING is up but we are told nothing so I don't know, my friends all think I'm just complaining or I'm exaggerating how bad my lobbies are but I have over 4k hours in cod and have been playing since cod 4 I know when something is wrong.

    From my experience with SBMM in Dead by Daylight. There are certain times of the day where you can get a pretty good amount of normal/easy lobbies and it's mostly in the morning/afternoon area, for me anyway. It feels like the SBMM is off but I believe it's because there are more casuals active during those times when their kids are in school or when kids get out of school when everything seems nice and chill and most of the people that are hardcore are usually sleeping.

      And that's why i don't even play killer in that game anymore.. it's no fun

      @@slickrickwillyjames I don't play that game anymore at all. Survivor isn't fun because it's too easy to learn how to loop the killer and killer punishes you for being good and that's the same thing happening in CoD.

      Honestly i only get on every once in a blue moon when my friend gets on, but i really never even play it anymore either

      you ought to know sbmm don't work in that game i mean if there's another dev studio as incompetent as cod developers it's the people who make dead by daylight. They still haven't fixed the random lag out of party's from years ago. The matchmaking and connecting is bottom tier just poorly made. Anyways sbmm really doesn't do anything in DBD you way differently skilled players all the time

    I've had a feeling skill based damage and hit detection have been in cod for years. I have a clip of me getting a hit marker on a guy like 20 feet away in hardcore tdm on cod ww2.

    Not gonna lie, I've had so many moments where I've had my crosshair right on someone's head or torso, and the sniper just doesn't register. It's made me wonder if the devs just forgot how to make a game where your hits register or if there was some sort of SBMM that caused this.
