Honestly I agree. I was so confused when fav maiv's wife said "don't be like the hmong people before who goes and steal random girls to become your wife" when I thought that this movie was based in the old times. As well in addition to the part where Teem and his new wife said that they were going to move to the city. I was like so is this based in the present day because I thought it was all based to take time in the old days. Such a waste of time and its too confusing and too slow with horrible acting.
