Backed the kickstarter. Really looking forward to getting this game (I know I could do Print n Play, but I'll just wait for the full version). Thanks for the playthrough. Yours and a couple other review/playthroughs were why I backed the kickstarter.
+Eric Lai Actually Richard didn't make the mistake you pointed... He had 2 Energy at the start of his turn, he did the move and ended with 1 energy and 2 culture... then he "backtracked" to do a better move that would gain him 3 energy before he spent the 1 energy for 2 culture... that would mean that he generated 3 energy and spent 1, so a net gain of 2 energy... since he started his turn with 2 energy, this means he ends up with 4 energy and 2 culture... all correct!
i bought and am enjoying tiny epic kingdoms, and after watching a few reviews im pretty excited for galaxies as well. im still on the fence about defenders, i think pandemic the cure looks far more interesting but thats just me.
Lol on your cursed dice. :) We just got this for Christmas. I love the final dice (pearly grey/black) The ships changed for the worse, but they made it so they can lay on their sides to mitigate confusion on if you're colonizing (orbiting) a planet or landing on the surface.
In the bottom right corner of the blue player board is the first player designation. There is not one on the green board. That is supposed to mean the blue player went first... except the green player actually went first.
You made me to buy this game with this video :) and I love it! Its realy fun to play - easy, quick and clever. Even my daughter likes to play it. She even play with me as I play solo version - she just makes all those programmed actions. I don't know why but she likes it.
Rahdo, I'm watching your video for a 2nd time as I'm getting TEG to the table this week. So first off, great job with the video. Secondly (concerning die rolls), a long time ago I was playing Wizard Kings and rolled one "6" result out of 51 tries. Hence, I lost that game miserably. I no longer own Wizard Kings...
"Wait... no... hang on a second... Oh! I'm gonna do this instead... Oh, no!" Your wife must hate you when you do this in game :-P I know that mine does XD
15:09 You cheated and didn't pay for the two culture with 1 energy (you got mixed up when you back-tracked). You should only have had 3 energy before using that 3rd die and that means you couldn't have upgraded with that colonization die.
***** Sorry. I was interpreting the rule as you had to follow specifically their action. I read the rules and saw it was based off the dice result, not your opponent's specific action.
It was frustrating to watch all that time where you couldn't roll a ship. Looks like the game really stalls there. It seems that there is nothing you can do unless you roll ships.
***** Oh, okay. So you could have done that when you rolled all those other dice, yes? So you don't necessarily have to be stuck there. Good to know! I admit, I kinda lost interest when it seemed like the only thing to do was to keep rolling for "6"s (ships). Maybe I'll take a look at the rest of the video...
Watched all 23 minutes and still had questions. Not thorough enough. He's just completing actions without saying how and why he was able to do that action.
When I first started watching your videos, I thought that Jen was a made up person and I was very concerned for you.

This game looks like a load of fun, And we already love their other game Tiny Epic Kingdoms.
Excellent run-through. I just picked this game and its expansion up and I really am enjoying it.

I think they should not call it a Micro-game but more a Small Box game.

@1:52 4 ships, not 6. Thanks for the great tutorial, very easy to follow along and learn, thank you!!
It was already noted... When watching a Rahdo video, please turn on the Klingon subtitles to see where Richard goofs up… Thanks :)
Why is this nominated for solo game of the year?
+Gamer Hudson i assume because it's a great solo game? I don't know, haven't tried it :)
21:12 : Can Jen harvest energy in orbite ? I don't think so ...
She can, actually.
msolec2000 OK thanks, my bad, sorry !
Whoopsydoops

Please do a run through of the Blast Off version 😉
sorry, too many other games to cover!
@@rahdo I understand. Thanks 👍

Rahdo - at 19:14-30 and 22:10 you mean Economics, not Politics.
Mike Malley yeah, i mistakenly used the phrases interchanably throughout :)
ok rahdo, ive watched a few of your videos...who is this imaginary 2nd player named jen you speak of?
Roamy Bard jen.rahdo.com :)
The whole "follow" concept seems kind of open ended. Do you feel the same way or am I missing something?
Tim Karl i'm not sure i understand?

I see many elements taken from eclipse
space.... ships.... galaxies.... hmmmm....

Kent O'Connor i don't think so. you can always get any die you want with the converter (which I demoed in the extended video I think) :)

Kent O'Connor you can also spend energy to move on other persons turn as well.

hopefully the answer to all your questions lies here: www.crhallberg.com/beta/tinyepic/rules.pdf
