  • In March 0f 2016, a young and driven woman had her life taken by someone she trusted. Someone she thought loved her. She suffered in silence, keeping how she was treated a secret. Nobody should ever have to go through this. Today, we tell her story, and we seek justice for Alyssa Johnson, as we hope this monster who did this remains behind bars for this full sentence. People who commit these types of crimes should never be let out early. My condolences go out to her entire family and the rest of her loved ones. You aren't forgotten.

I'm the Step Father of Alyssa . I was privileged to know Alyssa. I watched her grow from a 6 year old little girl to a beautiful, vibrant, loving young woman. It was a horrific evil tragedy that took her wonderful life , but the tragedy has lived with our family ever since. My beautiful wife's life was taken as well. She suffers from an inconsolable broken heart ever since. Our family turned inside out. Christmas,Birthdays, and any other holidays are empty without her. I just want everyone to pray for my wife and family. We will never recover but hopefully learn to cope with our deeply painful loss. Love you Alyssa ❤

I'm so sorry that you all have had to go through this life changing traumatic event. I couldn't possibly even begin to understand. I'm a mother of 3 and I couldn't imagine. I wanted to tell you that I will be praying for your beautiful wife and your family as a whole. I have NO words that will comfort you, nor could I come up with any. This was a hard watch and I wish you and yours healing and light. God bless you and your beautiful family.

Justice for Alyssa Johnson and her family, especially for Mrs. Sandra Boglio, as she did everything that she could to give her daughter the best life possible. However, that pathetic loser known as Jeffrey McDonald should have either been locked up or received the death penalty for taking out his gross self-loathing and insecurity on her. May Alyssa rest in peace, and may her legacy as a hard-working young woman be forever celebrated.

I am reaching out to you to see if you can do a story on my daughter murder and my son's wrongful death. Both of my children were on intensive juvenile supervision in Wichita Kansas. My daughter was murdered November 7 2021 while on a gps monitor thru the court system here. Both of my children were. The court took my son off his gps monitor due to him complying with the rules of his iso at the time. Yet the judge kept my daughter on her's. The bracelet wasn't working which resulted in her being somewhere she wasn't supposed to be and she got murdered

My cousin moved away to be with a guy she met online. She and her son were happy to go. 4 months later, her son came home from school and found his mother dead from a gunshot wound to the back of the head. The coward who killed her had shot himself in the head and died. She tried to explain away the red flags but having been in a violent relationship myself, I knew the truth. R.I.P. MS

Ive been in an abusive relationship too. Its true, its so hard to get out of it. I got lucky because my boyfriend died in Florida. It was days before he would be returning back to NJ, along with a gun he purchased. My family and friends believe Justin would’ve ended up killing me with that gun. I believe so too.
I like to joke that my guardian angel knew that and decided to take matters in their own hands.
Im so sorry for your loss. And I hope her son is doing okay. Losing your Mother is one thing. But to find her murdered is something no one should ever have happened to them. Poor kid. I hope the guy who murdered her then offed himself, so her son would find them, is rotting in hell right now

My best friend was collateral damage to an exboyfriend killing his ex girlfriend. He chased his ex and she went to the store they all used to work at, that my best friend still worked at, and chased her in the store with a gun. My best friend tried to talk him down but he ended up chasing her and the ex through the store and shot both in the head and then shot a security guard and then killed himself. He ruined a lot of lives that day in his selfishness and left a 6 yr old without his mom. This happened back in 2001 and I STILL miss my best friend and will until my last day.. 💜

I forgot to add that I’m also an addict that almost burned the house down with my kids a sleep, all while I was doing Xanax in the bathroom. I call it toxic because that’s how I make all my relationships, my family, my exes, anyone who really knows me is disappointed in me or as I call toxic. I have moved my kids in the middle of the night while on Xanax many many times to get them away from my toxic relationship with their father. I never knew that what I was really doing was PAS or parental alienation syndrome. I would move them in with one of my plugs or someone using Xanax just to realize that a house or apartment with no food or furniture (crack or drug house) isn’t where I wanted to live. Not that it was a horrible place to bring my kids but I didn’t get along with the low life’s there anymore so I would take them back to their dads. But only until my next relapse then I would have to take my kids and leave again because my drug use isn’t the problem it’s their dad and my toxic relationship with him. Definitely not the Xanax that I was snorting, anywhere from 2 to 10 bars a day. No the Xanax do not cloud my judgement l, I have a much higher tolerance than most people. Just like with alcohol, I’m 5ft 120lbs and shots of Patron have no effect on me. Just ask anyone who is around me daily, most Xanax that have numbers on them are weak and do nothing for me so I just fight to stay awake and take more. It’s usually when I’m told no that the relationship has become just too toxic for me and either I take the kids and leave or he has to give me MY XANAX and leave. Also, did you know that they are putting fentanyl in Xanax now??? I thought it was too good of a deal and just too cheap but I ended up overdosing on new years 2023. Luckily, I had a custody hearing on Jan 10th but since I was not the respondent it was up to me to confirm the court date in advance, so I didn’t. Then while he was at the court house waiting for court, I texted him five minutes before the scheduled but not confirmed time that there would be no court. Then I dragged him and the kids back into my wonderful life even though I’ve done nothing but hurt them for the last 3 years…..actually 16 years. Because I know he still loves me, I just have to tell him that I love him and sleep with him a couple of times. I’ve done more for less so it was easy. Just remember not to believe all the nonsense you read or see online, cause if you looked up my record you might have a tough time believing I’m the victim. But hey just cause someone says they are a domestic violence survivor or victim makes me always question it. First of all us real victims don’t talk about it, second if you are a survivor……. You don’t say things like “ran away with my kids” !!!!that’s just stupid! If you are a survivor than you know that that is wrong. Maybe you left to a safe place and than filed for custody but you don’t get to run away with them! They are not just yours!!!! Just cuz you can have babies does not mean that you can raise and take care of them. And please, before you all go off about what was just said. Look at all the mental problems and anxiety and post partum depression or just all the lame ass excuses on why y’all can’t take care of your kids!!! So once again kids are not yours, you can’t run away with them so NO SURVIVOR would or should say that. So none of y’all deserve likes or thumbs up for sharing one side of a fucked up story. Ever heard of “it’s just the tip of the iceberg “?? So keep your shit to yourself no one has the time to read all this BS cause anything that makes the story teller look bad will be left out and we will never hear from the other person……unless you read all this, than you just did. Just remember that the only person you can control is yourself!!!! Quit blaming others for your dumb ass actions!!!! No one but yourself makes you do anything, good or bad!!!! So quit blaming others for your BS.

I was facebook friends with a lady(never met her in the real world) who lost her daughter to domestic violence. That alone was horrific enough. But less than two years later, the lady I was friends with passed away. She was young. No more than her early 50's. I saw a post from one of her other daughters, asking for prayers and "RIP mama". I offered my sympathy, but I never asked what killed her, since it wasn't any of my business, since I only knew her thru facebook. I know after her daughter died, pretty much all her posts were about her death. You could tell she was in agony. So I feel like she grieved to death, whether she took her own life, or started on a downward spiral that eventually caused her to die. Domestic violence is horrible in all ways. It destroys families. It destroys friendships. And it destroys more lives than just the people directly involved. My deepest sympathy to the family of Alyssa, and to all who have lost someone to domestic violence. And I pray they keep her killer in jail for the maximum of his sentence, even though it isn't nearly long enough.

I went to high school w/ Alyssa, we were in the same class for all four years. She was so nice and soft spoken- just a very gentle soul- and she was always on point with her outfits- she had a sharp fashion sense. She always came off as shy to me, and she really was shy at school, she definitely seemed like more of an introvert, but she was still well liked because she had a laid back personality. I remember the first time I saw her w/ Jeffrey, I immediately felt like they were an odd couple- I always felt like she was way too pretty for him, which I admit is very shallow. But also I felt like Jeffrey did not seem nice and chill like Alyssa, he seemed quiet but there was something about the look in his eyes that even as a teenager did not sit well with me. He had this intensity to his face that I always found to be unsettling. He was just not the kind of person I would’ve imagined Alyssa with, but of course I kept all these thoughts to myself because I was just her classmate and we weren’t cool like that for me to be telling her how I felt like her boyfriend had a weird vibe about him. Besides I knew that they had been together for a long time, it was well known that she and Jeffery had been an item since junior high. So I just kept those thoughts to myself. When I found out what happened to Alyssa my mouth dropped, I was so shocked. And when it came to light that her boyfriend was behind it, I immediately thought back to my first impression of him. Sad, but it seems like my intuition was on point. I wish that I was wrong because Alyssa really and truly did not deserve that. She was so nice and unproblematic, she never caused any drama all those years we were in high school together. She was attractive, fashionable, smart and humble- that’s a rare combination. She really had a kind heart- that’s what I always remembered about her. I never saw her have an attitude with anyone or be rude to anyone at school- she just always seemed very chill. I will never forget her and I am heartbroken that this is how her life had to end.

I was once in a marriage suffering domestic violence . The mental and physical toll it takes on a person is massive . You become good at deflecting and keeping quiet often times lying to those closest you to protect the one that is abusing you . This young beautiful smart woman did not deserve this. My condolences to her love ones . I know that if her mother or uncle would have known what was going on they would have fought him tooth and nail to get her out of the misery . The hardest yet most important step in an abusive relationship is to leave and sadly there are those like her who was never given the chance to .
His true evil came out when he looked up at the judge when he was rightfully so calling him a coward . 4 to 12 years is a huge miscarriage of justice . His size alone over hers is intention enough from the first moment he lay his hands on her he knew damn well it would cause great injury and even death . This coward does not deserve any type of freedom .

Mr. Ortiz, like always, this was a well put together video. Your attention to detail, care, and compassion for the victims in your videos is IMO the best example I've seen how to put together a True Crime video. Like I've said before, too many True Crime YT channels focus too much on the killer when it's really about the victims. I never met Ms. Johnson, but even from her pictures, she gave off a beautiful angelic welcoming, caring vibe. She would have gone far in life had she continued to live and would have a great asset to her community. That POS who her away from the world, should have spent the rest of his natural worthless life in prison. The fact that he will eventually be a free man, will probably be in a relationship with another woman and possibly start a family while Ms. Johnson is forever stuck at the age of 24. RIP to Ms. Alyssa Johnson and my deepest sympathizes towards her family.

It was likely viewed as an accident bc it was caused by a physical fight without the intention to kill. The death was not determined to be the intention. We all know that a physical fight can often lead to injuries, but they don't often lead to death. So it's different from doing something that reasonable people can agree would lead to death and doing something that doesn't cause death the majority of the time.
