Druids cannot mass pull in the same way because Paladins and Warriors have block and can use trinkets and food for AOE that have a larger hit amount. A druid is limited to thorn-type damage. That being said, they can also have massive avoidance stacking agility and just go cat and wreck everything while running through the dungeon instead of mass pulling and reflecting everything to death.
In Strat you can vendor everything or auction the runecloth. 1 Run Strat of the "Main Area" gives around 50g and takes around 12-15 min for Paladins. Warrior are slower i think but you should still be able to do 3+ runs per hour and get 150gph+
They are good to speed it up, but not the critical component of the farm. I will do a stream or better video in the future actually going in depth on all the slots.
No, the reason is that just like nagle ring the skullflame shield literally wont proc unless I turn my back to the mobs. It may have value while gathering the mobs but its small proc rate and small heal amount simply aren't worth throwing gold at. I wouldn't take that shield on a pally either though as it's never the intent to face our backs to the mobs. SFS does ok while gathering mobs in lower level dungeons because you don't get instagibbed. As I improve on this I will likely figure out a way to do this in 1-2 pulls instead of 2-3 and at when you are kiting that many mobs getting hit usually means instadeath.
@@konradbrochocki4923 no, it won't proc anytime you block, dodge, or parry so the only time it can proc is while you are gather the mobs and potentially get hit in the back. Supposedly in classic sfs wont proc when you get hit in the back either, meaning it won't really proc for us at all. If its already soul bound I'd hang onto it in case we ever find a use for it, but if its not id sell it off
This is pserver, but it also has the explody corpses. You can block/dodge/parry it on pservers. It looked like you could on beta as well after watching graysfordays stream it so I'm not worried about it. You can also kill the cadavers that spawn very quickly by just adding them into a /tar /cleave macro.
Warriors with avoidance cap wont take melee damage and that means skullflame can't proc for us. Even if SFS could proc, we have 0 spell damage so it does very little for us anyways. The engi shield only requires 1 block per second to do maximum aoe dps, where the PLG requires 1 block per mob every 5s to do max dps. The problem with PLG is that we dodge/parry/miss so much that our stacks often fall off of some of the mobs.
Where does all the damage come from? With paladins, a lot of it is concecration. Are you just relying on the shield for the majority of the damage output?

10 years ago there was a guild on my WOTLK server Undermine with the name "Get Carried". It was pretty much the top guild of the server and had a reputation as such. Was that you guys?
I was personally on Blackrock in back in wotlk, but this is the same from undermine.
Rejuvy here
This is us
@@getcarried8116 you’re fucking kidding me. You were the biggest troll on the server 😂😂😂
@@getcarried8116 I was Näture (a resto druid) at the time, you probably don't remember me as my guild was casual. Crazy how much I can still remember of that time a decade later
What Character sheet addon are you using?
Couldn't even finish 1 run of SM Cath with the Engineering shield before it broke.... something I'm doing wrong?
No the engi shield just breaks down each time it procs
super cool, I wanted to stick with my warrior
Would Crest of Retribution deal more dmg than Petrified Lichen?
Sadly no, I think you can actually see it in my bags as it is something I tested. Crest of retribution is quite a bit lower damage than shield spike which did less than half the damage of petrified lichen guard.
What items are you using and gems to it? I find 99% avoidance to be almost impossible. Right now I'm on 76% with similar gear (taken by the looks of your char).
the gear sheet refers to avoidance against level 70 mobs, but the mobs you will be fighting are around 58-60, so you should be good
@@RichardPugsley you still want about 90% avoidance on your character sheet. I am currently doing this with a suneater and an extra pair of gloves gemmed for defense. If you happen to have the trinket from BWL its quite easy to reach 100% avoidance.
if the engi shield ''breaks'' is it just durability ? or completely obsolete
just durability, you can repair it
@@TheTandoor thx
What is it about Strath that makes it a gold farm per se vs Dark Rune Scholo farming?
Scholo is just harder and the most profitable mobs there are mostly casters.
A big upside to strath is that none of the mobs cc you.
What's the 2nd trinket (not the figurine) ?
Dabiri's Enigma. Increases defense on equip and boosts shield block rating on use 1.5min cd.
The even better trinket option is styleens from bwl.
Neither of these guides mention shield spike. It's basically doubles the kill time if you're using Lichen Guard
Is the back devilshark cape or ironscale war cloak?
Either work, but the ironscale is slightly more avoidance.
@@TheTandoor Yea i managed to figure out it was ironscale you used just by looking at the pattern of ur back. Kind of a long grind to get all the items especially when some of them are kara pieces, but slow and steady i guess.
Do you need multiple shields for this strat? My shield broke in 2 SM runs
Yea I use something like 5 shields per run
@@TheTandoor But which of the shield types specifically? 5 Force Reactive Disks or 5 Sporegarr Shields? Also Shield Spike or 15 Shield Block Rating?
What are the actual pulls in strat just all the normal mobs or?
Once i have the rest of my gear, I'm about 3 pieces away, I will make a video demonstrating the pull. I just need kara to be generous for a week.
In TBC classic I got 100+% avoidance to lvl40 mobs (SM cath) and I did a run (1pull full cath) I cleared it without much issues. The problem I am facing is that my shield is 32/100 dura in 1 pull. However I do not have 2p t4 yet and the absorb might help with that?
No, we will have to overcome the shield problem. currently I am using 2-4 shields to clear strath and im just eating the repair costs.
I recommend getting multiple sporegarr shields as they are not unique and are quite cheap
@@TheTandoor Guess ill be getting some Mushrooms tonight :)
@@TheTandoor hey, I thought u disappeared! Could u make a recommended list or gear to get? I'm struggling to reach the avoidance needed for strat, seems out of reach even though I have pretty solid avoidance gear (non raid gear tho). Or just show me what ur using? :) Would appreciate it
@@Zs0ltika94 It's not doable without raid gear. I was planning to make another video once I finished my gearset, but here is what I plan to use for it: seventyupgrades.com/set/fP3gzBycFxWFooUug8ESsW
I looking forwad to getting rid of Flask Healing Gear and have more bag space in TBC.
Now it seems I'll be just replacing them slots with block and healing gear :P
Thank you for the vid. Now i dont feel that bad leveling a Prot Warrior in Phase 6 :3.
Stay safe everyone
Edit: this must be the ultimate Warrior Roleplay expierence. Being a force of nature
@Reclusiarch Grimaldus Corona and in general. Maybe should have wrote stay healthy instead.
How about endgame gear, or the progression towards it?
What about druids? can too?
Druids cannot mass pull in the same way because Paladins and Warriors have block and can use trinkets and food for AOE that have a larger hit amount. A druid is limited to thorn-type damage. That being said, they can also have massive avoidance stacking agility and just go cat and wreck everything while running through the dungeon instead of mass pulling and reflecting everything to death.
Any chance you'd do one of these for scholo?
Could you link your bartender 4 or dominos setup plz?
Did not mention shield spike, even though i know that should be a no duh, but just in case.
How much gold can you make doing this, gold per hour.
And what do you sell to actually make money?
In Strat you can vendor everything or auction the runecloth. 1 Run Strat of the "Main Area" gives around 50g and takes around 12-15 min for Paladins. Warrior are slower i think but you should still be able to do 3+ runs per hour and get 150gph+
In preraid bis I've seen a 9min pally clear. In my warrior set I've managed to get it down to 10min. Both hitting the 5instance lockout and 250g/hr.
No mention of Shield Spikes?
They are good to speed it up, but not the critical component of the farm. I will do a stream or better video in the future actually going in depth on all the slots.
where do u get the sword from ??
Botanica. First boss. Heroic and normal both drop it.
Skullflame Shield is not included because as a Warrior vs. a Paladin you don't get +heal?
@@TheTandoor if i already have a skullflame shield sitting in my bank on my warrior would you recommend bringing it along for this type of stuff?
@@konradbrochocki4923 no, it won't proc anytime you block, dodge, or parry so the only time it can proc is while you are gather the mobs and potentially get hit in the back. Supposedly in classic sfs wont proc when you get hit in the back either, meaning it won't really proc for us at all. If its already soul bound I'd hang onto it in case we ever find a use for it, but if its not id sell it off
@@TheTandoor Alright, thanks for the response.
Id love an updated wotlk version of this
I didn't see this before, but it should be very easy to do now in wotlk as we do so much more damage and have a heal
Is this footage from the beta or pservers? If it's from the beta, how do you handle the explody corpses?
This is pserver, but it also has the explody corpses. You can block/dodge/parry it on pservers. It looked like you could on beta as well after watching graysfordays stream it so I'm not worried about it. You can also kill the cadavers that spawn very quickly by just adding them into a /tar /cleave macro.
Id love to see a breakdown on why the eng shield is better
Curious as well, also I'm wondering why skullflame is not good for warriors
Warriors with avoidance cap wont take melee damage and that means skullflame can't proc for us. Even if SFS could proc, we have 0 spell damage so it does very little for us anyways.
The engi shield only requires 1 block per second to do maximum aoe dps, where the PLG requires 1 block per mob every 5s to do max dps. The problem with PLG is that we dodge/parry/miss so much that our stacks often fall off of some of the mobs.
You deserve 20x the amount of subs
we are waiting the next video !!!!
Once I have the rest of my gear, I'm about 3 pieces away, I will make a video demonstrating the pull. I just need kara to be generous for a week.
sick bluegrass too!
Where does all the damage come from? With paladins, a lot of it is concecration. Are you just relying on the shield for the majority of the damage output?
Yup if you do it all in 1 pull your majority of your damage comes from petrified lichen guard and shield spike. Next is cleave and shield slam/tclap.
what is the buff of 19 seconds +120 health?
How much was the loot at the end?
