Bohning lube that you put on your shafts......................but don't touch the tip. Bohning, it's easy to pull out. I told my missus that "I swear I'm watching an archery video on TH-cam". Now she is looking at me weird.

I have had a Lube Tube for many years. I ran out of lube a long time ago so just started using cooking oil. When I saw this I bought some of the Bohning to try and was pretty impressed. Definitely better than cooking oil. But it's not very convenient like the Lube Tube was/is. So I took the Lube Tube apart and remove the fabric filling, which was pretty decomposed anyway, and replaced it with some fabric I had lying around that was close to the original stuff. I rolled it up and stuffed the tube then filled/soaked it with the Bohning lube. It did not take much and it looks like I have enough to fill it a few more times. Now I have the convenience of the Lube Tube with the Bohning oil. I shove the arrow all the way in too so it coats like 3 inches of the shaft. It works great !!

Pretty sure it's all just silicone. The shoe polish instant shine things are too. Car dashboard shine wipes are probably a lot more economical.

I used a mixture of beeswax and Vaseline mix that I use as a lube for black powder percussion pistols and it works great . I use a lollipop stick to apply and I can pull arrow out from a professional straw round target with ease . Before I struggled .

Here's my secret; I keep score, hence I let the others yank arrows. A couple of dabs of glue on the shafts makes for a lot of achy shoulders. My little edge. ;)

Never thought about that, but I'd imagine that "Pledge" would be ideal as an arrow lube. We use it to clean and leave a slick surface on bikes with carbon frame.

I was shooting in my basement at about 4 yards shooting a Rinehart block. It was about 60 degrees F (16C), so the foam was very hard from the temperature, and it took me 10 minutes and a lot of effort to pull three arrows from it with a Double D Magnum Grip puller.
I bought a Hamskea Arojac and it saves me a ton of energy pulling my arrows and other people's arrows from stiffer targets (or wood).
Just bought a Top Hat Take Out tool for my second setup so I don't have to move equipment between bow setups, and it works just as well, if not better.

Don't know if you guys will get it in Aus...but for me, Sunlight green laundry bar soap works the best and it is dirt cheap...:-)

Kiwi shoe shine. You can see how much is left before you start a competition. the foam pad lubes 3 arrows at a time and it's far cheaper than "arrow lube". I shoot target, PSE Supra focus at 55lb and Easton ACG 480 spine

i use always olive oil out of our kitchen. It's cheaper then all that other stuff and equally good. Put a little in your tube, and your ready too shoot.

7:01 - You know that looks exactly like the cheap silicone oil I use in the shock absorbers in my RC truck. Spilled a few drops on the floor - despite wiping + rubbing off, the floor stayed super slippery for weeks.
Gonna try it on my arrows once this lockdown is over.

Just go to any hardware store and get list silicone. Works great and is cheap... You get bigger bottles to cause those looked small.

Synthetic air tool oil. The expensive stuff. Buy a large spong. Screw to arrow stands, cut slit in 🧽, 10 drops of air tool oil.
I'm getting 4 shots at the delta buck.
If I don't use this oil the arrows won't come out when it's cold

Any one watching this AND have had problem's removing arrow's Any of these will work and well !!
I got a kit from my shop Arrow Snot . Kit had string wax arrow lube and oil for bearings and such . I had made a layered foam target (turned out great) and first shot to test it i thought i blow a kidney out trying to remove the arrow Got mad due to this but came across a video on arrow lube . Got some from Cabela's WOW unbelievable in the difference to pull out
As Steven say's like three figures to remove from standing on the target with an arrow puller and two hands
So if you shoot targets a lot try them they do not damage the arrow and you should get 6 or more shoots be for a replying it again

Hey Steven, Is there a reason you don't sell the APA Archery Bows? They Look awesome. Have a 370 fps IBO speed bow with draw weights up to 90#. Some innovative tech. They might be a winner?

Sounds like you need more range= more distance= "less penatration". Maybe rounder tips? WD-40 works too.

I use zip ties and attach the Lube tube right to my bow. They have an attachment that does that but why pay extra money when zip ties work. Makes it even easier to apply the lube too

  • @HyperCazual
    @HyperCazual 4 ปีที่แล้ว

Wouldn't the lube make it go in farther anyway? I guess it would just be less strength to pull it out but more length to pull it out like a pulley system. Same energy either way.

I used soap (bar of dove) when shooting strammit targets in the past. It helped a little but was still a struggle. A few times we had 3 people pulling and struggling to get the arrows out. That was with my 60lb compound. I’m glad that I’m shooting recurve now, because if I ever shoot those targets again it should be a lot easier!

Hey Steven, have you got your hands on the new Wiawis ATF-X riser yet? Would love to see a review and a comparison with the regular ATF.
