Better animation doesn't mean a good show as too many anime have proved. You've got a GREAT story, incredible editing on the dialogue! Can't wait for part 4, keep up the great work.

I love it. I would concentrate on this style of animation and refine it before moving on to more complexity, especially since you don't have the hardware needed. You are almost there now, part 3 is so much better looking than your earlier work. Just look at Star Trek Aurora, that wasn't much better than Sims quality and it is great. I am sure with a good crowdfunding run you can come up with enough to redo the whole thing. Once this project is complete you could use it to do another campaign for your further endeavors. Best of luck to you either way!
I enjoyed the Aurora, but you are correct, the animation needed work. I liked the plots and dialogue. This has the potential to be as good as the Aurora was.
Hello, well I didn't get any help, even enough to buy mousepad so I kind of gave up on it for awhile.... I am back to it recently tho, I am making all the sets as a VR App and then will get back to creating (and can render in Unreal Engine where it uses GPU...) ... If you can help I am so I'm need right now. In between jobs, can Paypal to SchoolHomevr@gmail.com I will return the favor with much Trek goodness, Special access, updates, uploads and etc!
Wow, thank you for this. I have to assume some sort of voice synth? I would donate to this so worthy of cause, if I had any means. I am basically disabled now so income is insanely restricted. But of all the things I have seen over the years on TH-cam, this is the one I have the most urge to donate to, if I ever have the ability.
1:44 to 2:04, the music playing in the background while Kirk is recalling Deneva and his deceased brother sounds exactly like the music I heard at the beginning of an online Java game I once played called Amnesia (it was a sort of shoot em up game). Neural Override was the website or group that made the game.
Great editing and voice acting by the final three. Kirk looks more like a young Roddenberry than Shatner. Chekov looks more like a crewman than Koenig.
:) If anyone has a VR headset, w/360 phone; I would recommend throwing this in a playlist of 360 clips, so when it comes to this video in the list, it will be in that "movie theater mode" it shows you ads in. That way its like your watching it on the big screen. (I put this at the end of my TOS 360 VR playlist, and i couldnt imagine not doing so) And personally, i didnt mind that it made it a bit blurry because the animation isnt exactly picture-perfect. Im only 17, and its only been about two years since i first started watching star trek, and I cant express how exited i was about this, so i cant imagine how people feel that grew up with it. And the audioalchemy is superb!! Really, its unbelievable! I hope everyone enjoys it as much as me, and I hope you get the funding/equipment you need.
And im definately planning on donating a little something when i turn my cash into usable, currency. Got to create a few accounts and stuff, i dont "do" the internet that often.
This is an incredible technical achievement. I am stunned by the amount of work you've put into this, and the story line is shaping up very very well. The excellence of your work makes the two quibbles I have seem really petty. Sorry! But ... why do Spock and Kirk both have blue eyes? Spock's eyes are brown; Kirk's are hazel. And -- really the more significant of the two quibbles -- the background music/sound effects tend to overwhelm the dialogue at times. Could this perhaps be addressed in the hoped-for future portions?
I'm glad you took a chance with this, too. Your rendition of the alien dimension was cool. IMO, you captured the essence of what Trek is (or at least used to be). When that weird stuff happened to Kirk or Chekov, it was legit sci-fi spooky. Again, I do hope you can complete this series!
+JeffIrok I spend much time perfecting my audio timeline before even beginning animating. I started with all my dialog as metadata text, ordering the 'teleplay' in traditional fashion, then layering in music and sound fx. Finally Animating. I now have all 18 45-minute long episodes (and one Klingon Two Parter) prepared as Audio Timelines ready to be turned into 3D Virtual Reality Adventures (I plan to render in 360x180 degree VR so it can be a HOLODECK-like experience. Unfortunately I only ever received $100 in 2 years,. SO all that work will likely be lost. The Last of The Last of the Original Crew, and it is going to be lost or thrown away when I die. A real shame. TENS of THOUSANDS of unheard lines of Dialog from the ACTUAL Original Crew, garnered from the games, forgotten shelved projects and 78LP adventures. I made a miracle, but they did not come. You wouldn't BELIEVE the MOUNTAIN of negative Comments I have had to field here. Almost a full time job deleting nasty people's comments. I've nearly suicided over this. Where is 'Bjo Trimble' when you need her?! :)
+Robert England Dare I say it but if the worst happens why don't you have someone who has access to your files so the project can be picked up somehow? Sadly the TOS cast are now mostly gone so this project would be an amazing legacy for them! You've put your heart and soul into this!! Are the 18 individual episodes edited together as audio files?
+Danny Lavery Hi Danny, well yess, but there seems to be very little interest in new Trek episodes. I haven't animated a frame in months, to depressed. I made so much and got nothing out of it but a lot of insults and complaints. I was going to do the next 18 as 3D Virtual Reality episodes, but I think the project may be dead. Thanks for the interest, I wish there were more.

Could you please post an update where to send donations. Your PayPal was out of date and I want to be sure it goes to you for your amazing Star Trek Project. Thank you for sharing your work so far.
Just discovered this, Robert. Amazing job! I wouldn't let TH-cam comments get you down... TH-cam is full of people who's only contribution to society is to try to denigrate and judge the hard work of people who actually create things. It's the worst place in the world (well, next to 4chan or Reddit : ) to look for objective feedback or support. I think you might be surprised by the reaction you would get from a crowdfunding site. The only gotcha would be that you'd likely need to rework things due to the draconian fan film rules CBS/Paramount thrust onto their supporters recently.
Thanks Denny! My plan is to finish Beyond Antares and hopefully parlay that into that crowd funding. An article came out not too long ago about the past present and future of my projects (part 2 of the article has more of the future stuff). Loosely my plan is to create the next 18 full length episodes as 3D 360 VR Fully Immersive adventures Set in TMP ERA! It will be Year One of the Next 5 year mission! (StartrekNext5.com). After you pickup your jaw from the tile, I would Really appreciate any help you could give, many have evinced interest, but none have actually stepped in and offerred advice, funding, (even $50-$100 makes sucha. huge difference (Paypal address: Robert@Starfleet.com) Or even shout outs and shares can help enormously. Especially from someone at NASA. I am ignoring the new 'Guidelines'. I started this all a long time ago, I will never even try to make enough for it to be a problem, it is Art. It is also the last of the last of the original voices and I have the only clean copies, it has to be me. Please take some time to check out: www.axanarproductions.com/fan-film-friday-star-trek-beyond-antares-part-1/ and especially part 2: www.axanarproductions.com/fan-film-friday-star-trek-beyond-antares-part-2/ Please help, I sense you have the power to help make this a reality! Awesome job, Robert! This is definitely superior to any of the Abrams Star Trek movies, including Star Trek: Beyond! This project definitely recaptures the magic of TOS and wonderful chemistry between these iconic characters! Well done! I am very interested in helping you in your Star Trek project. I believe I can help you in a couple of areas, I will email you with the subject entitled, "Star Trek TOS: The New Adventures" for the details! Keep up the great work! You just earned a new subscriber, as well as a new friend! :)
Don't talk garbage. The Abrams movies are superb and understandably streets ahead of this. The animation at times is pathetic but the story, scripts and voices are excellent. If the animation can't be improved then the obvious route ahead is talking books, radio shows or what I am doing just listening to it and using my imagination as the pictures or video.
@@andytomhall6006 Hello Andytom Hall! Oh wow, I just realized that I written that comment three years ago! How time flies! LOL! Anyway, with all due respect, I am not talking garbage, I am honest. There is no question that J.J. Abrams is a very talented director and has great ideas, but as a writer, it leaves a lot to be desired. The new Star Trek movies are not very good when you compare to the original films. To provide you a better insight, please check out these movie reviews of the Abrams Star Trek movies here by the gang at RedLetterMedia: Star Trek (2009) Review th-cam.com/video/FRNHpX5_Ek8/w-d-xo.html Mr. Plinkett's Star Trek 2009 Review (part 1 of 2) th-cam.com/video/RiHnqv098LY/w-d-xo.html Mr. Plinkett's Star Trek 2009 Review (part 2 of 2) th-cam.com/video/bIYfr_9Zpwk/w-d-xo.html Half in the Bag Episode 53: Star Trek Into Darkness th-cam.com/video/bWLGH0VHUVs/w-d-xo.html Half in the Bag Episode 113: Star Trek Beyond th-cam.com/video/D_7Pz85XJ7Q/w-d-xo.html Those guys are professional independent film makers and have great insight into films. Just donated. It's not much, but it's my thanks for what you've done here. I'd like to second the suggestion to stick with the format you've started with, especially if it takes less time and computing power to render.
moeskido I saw! It made my day. Thank you! I get closer every day to outputting my Holodeck Dream of lost episodes in VR! I got a discount Galaxy S8 this week on eBay to create VR on ;). Finally!
moeskido Well, actually, I have thought that so everybody can view, each episode, will be rendered as 2D (normal view) 3D (Stereoscopic View) and 3D VR 360° (Full on Holodeck like immersion). I think you can see VR right now if you 1) go to TH-cam App on a Smartphone (point phone in different directions like a handheld Window into VR world. Or 2) View in the Chrome Browser (or Firefox I believe) and when in TH-cam VR video, just Click and Drag on the video to 'look' in dofferent directions!. Here, you can Sit in Kirks Chair on the 1701 Bridge, look around with your Mouse or Smartphone! : th-cam.com/video/kk9ZBeooD4Y/w-d-xo.html Also 3) if you have pretty much ANY smartphone, you can get a Google Carboard (or other VR viewer) for as little as $5, and be able to enter VR and watch 3D Movies on a Giant Virtual Screen! If you have a Cell Phone, Tell me the brand and model of the best ones you have access to and I would be happy to help you by researching the best/cheapest option for your device! ;")
moeskido pft vr is so 21 century, i use fullphase mental dive suits that pull my consciousness out of my brain and float it inside the acual startrek set, its extreamly invasive and very painful, also permenent. 10/10 would do again
I've just read the Fan Film Friday and I'm so impressed! Has there been more work done on the audio stories you mentioned or any animated updates beyond this? Thanks! -This is so cool
Erma Thomas Thank you! I have such giant plans, there are 18 more full length episodes I have prepared. The next ones I hope to output as 360° VR 3D adventures! Please consider donating a small amount., $5-$10-$50 every donation is enormously helpful! I am finalizing Beyond Antares and will soon afterwards release part 1 of 2 episode length KLINGON Episode. Please send any donations via paypal to Robert@StarFleet.com and Thank You for watching!
LOL Hello, :) Well, the audio is done for all the episodes,. It's just a matter of animating and rendering. I came up against a hardware limit when I tried to build a more complex world like the alien dimension / rift scene. I had hoped that maybe i'd get some help with small donations to buy hardware, but in all this time I never got enough to even buy a good hard drive,. If only each subscriber would donate one dollar with $2,400 I could build the most amazing workstation computer and make all the episodes in VR as I always dreamed... Holodeck adventures.. Now, I couldn't make anything, my drives are so crammed full, I have to delete extant work to make (and save,..) new work. I can't afford a new hard drive for a very long time probably, I have all the time in the world to do that kind of work, i'm disabled, stuck at home, now self isolating from Corona virus,. I'D love to have terabytes of free space to create, experiment, release VR tests and treats , etc. I never seem to have enough drive space etc. Also, my computer is 5 generations old. Sorry, i'm depressed today... When you can make anything, but simple access to hardware, to tools holds you back... There is nothing worse for an Artist. Like running out of paint! As a lark i'll put my donation address' here: Paypal: Robert@StarFleet.com Amazon pay/Google Wallet: england1969@gmail.com Thanks for the interest. If I got enough for even a minimal upgrade it would spur me on to new heights of effort, I'd finish 'Beyond Antares' and start the next episode (the Klingon 2 parter!) In the new medium I have taught myself, Unreal Engine and in VR!
Is this based on audio from LP Star Trek records from years ago? You have done a great job combining the audio with the CGI animation. I live on SSI income on $733.00 a month so not much left after expenses. I will see if i can donate something after i pay bills next month.

Well. Kind of, Just as I had something to show and was about to try to get some funding (I had nothing computer...) Axanar came along with the guy blabbing Bout his Million dollars and taking a salary (!) and competing with CBS ... and CBS put the kabish on fan films, literally destroyed my 18 episodes. Since then do I become expert in Unreal Engine AI deep learning.... I know we could make them look photo-realistic make them say anything in the right voices ... What time is never been better to do something with all😊 so I'll get back to it in time I'm looking for work at the moment trying not to become homeless near San Francisco everything's a mess ... I can make anything except an opportunity... Because I already have all the sets for the TOS 1701, I've started turning it into a little VR Adventure where you can fly the Enterprise to different locations walk around inside pick up anything in sickbay push a button and it'll do something cool stuff like that it's good practice for me... I want to be able to get to the point where I could take a PDF file of a Star Trek novel pasted into ai and it takes only working assembles the episode so that a person who never even read the book could experience in VR like a holodeck adventure!

This feels more like Start Trek than any of the JJ Trek abominations or the new STD series looks from all trailers and screenshots I've seen so far. Fan creations seems to be the only way to enjoy Star Trek while the corporations try to kill Star Trek off in their vesions.

Dan Hauser has perfect visuals but the voices don’t sit comfortably to my ears... Robert England has the original voice parts taken out of computer games but the visuals don’t sit comfortably to my eyes... Imagine if they worked together with a licence from the rights holder(s) that’d be a perfect set...

Where's your 300 man hours of work? Or you just one of those little b****** that likes to complain and never actually make anything? And quit liking your own comment... we can tell you know...
It's very good. However, why don't you write anywhere that the entire screenplay and all voices are from game Star Trek: Judgment Rites. There is entire mission with the same voices in that game which you just copy. All 3D work is yours, however screenplay and voices are from that game. You should write about this to acknowledge someone else work, but you insist that it is all your work only. For me it is good project, but this lack of information is just dishonest.
Better animation doesn't mean a good show as too many anime have proved. You've got a GREAT story, incredible editing on the dialogue! Can't wait for part 4, keep up the great work.
I really appreciate your work and all the hours spent on these projects.
This is amazing. I want to see you continue doing this.
This is six years later here. Is there an ending to this story?
This is so nice to see an animated;Star Trek!It remind’s me of the 1973 Star ⭐️ Trek animated serie’s!
Great job you’ve made, still waiting for the end 😂

I am sure with a good crowdfunding run you can come up with enough to redo the whole thing. Once this project is complete you could use it to do another campaign for your further endeavors. Best of luck to you either way!
Steve Martino I sure appreciate your viewership and advice! Thank you and Kaplā
I enjoyed the Aurora, but you are correct, the animation needed work. I liked the plots and dialogue. This has the potential to be as good as the Aurora was.
What happened to part 3 that was years ago I'm beginning to think I'm not going to luck out and get to see it. Anybody know?
Hello, well I didn't get any help, even enough to buy mousepad so I kind of gave up on it for awhile.... I am back to it recently tho, I am making all the sets as a VR App and then will get back to creating (and can render in Unreal Engine where it uses GPU...)
Just found your channel by accident. Very cool. Loved the episode. Are you still at it?
1:44 to 2:04, the music playing in the background while Kirk is recalling Deneva and his deceased brother sounds exactly like the music I heard at the beginning of an online Java game I once played called Amnesia (it was a sort of shoot em up game). Neural Override was the website or group that made the game.
Great editing and voice acting by the final three. Kirk looks more like a young Roddenberry than Shatner. Chekov looks more like a crewman than Koenig.
Thank you! It was a long time piecing together the audio.
Got to create a few accounts and stuff, i dont "do" the internet that often.
fake name three Thanks buddy! I have just started to get back to finishing Beyond Antares then starting the next to be rendered in full 360 3D!!
Wow, man... this is really great work, especially near the end. It was getting a bit creepy. Please keep it up!
Great job - The voices are seamless!
Thanks for the interest, I wish there were more.
this is totally great work i am looking forward to more of this work awsome work and effort this has inspired me to ad.my.own work thank you vert much i have enjoyed this

Could you please post an update where to send donations. Your PayPal was out of date and I want to be sure it goes to you for your amazing Star Trek Project. Thank you for sharing your work so far.
great job good story line too
Just discovered this, Robert.
Julian Schecter Hi Julian, I didn't see your email, but you can also reach me at Robert@StarFleet.com. THANKS SO MUCH for the interest and enthusiasm!
To provide you a better insight, please check out these movie reviews of the Abrams Star Trek movies here by the gang at RedLetterMedia:

Those guys are professional independent film makers and have great insight into films. Plus, they're hilarious! Please take you time seeing these videos because it's a lot of material. At the very least, you will be entertained! Enjoy! :)
Very cool!
Finally!
I'll have to imagine what that looks like, not having any VR capability here. :)
Cheers, young man.
moeskido Well, actually, I have thought that so everybody can view, each episode, will be rendered as 2D (normal view) 3D (Stereoscopic View) and 3D VR 360° (Full on Holodeck like immersion). : th-cam.com/video/kk9ZBeooD4Y/w-d-xo.html
Also 3) if you have pretty much ANY smartphone, you can get a Google Carboard (or other VR viewer) for as little as $5, and be able to enter VR and watch 3D Movies on a Giant Virtual Screen! If you have a Cell Phone, Tell me the brand and model of the best ones you have access to and I would be happy to help you by researching the best/cheapest option for your device! ;")
You 24th-century kids and your VR.
Many thanks for the consideration!
moeskido pft vr is so 21 century, i use fullphase mental dive suits that pull my consciousness out of my brain and float it inside the acual startrek set, its extreamly invasive and very painful, also permenent.
10/10 would do again
I've just read the Fan Film Friday and I'm so impressed! Has there been more work done on the audio stories you mentioned or any animated updates beyond this? Thanks! -This is so cool
never finished.
Sorry for taking so long to view your video life is full of challenges including health issues.
This was wonderful. Just found it.
Bet your super ampted about how they cured cancer with the new crisper cas9 gen-engi project!
Glad your back on your feet my guy!
Well, how far did you get?? Starfleet demands an update....
As a lark i'll put my donation address' here:
Paypal: Robert@StarFleet.com Amazon pay/Google Wallet: england1969@gmail.com
Thanks for the interest. If I got enough for even a minimal upgrade it would spur me on to new heights of effort, I'd finish 'Beyond Antares' and start the next episode (the Klingon 2 parter!) In the new medium I have taught myself, Unreal Engine and in VR!
These are amazing.
How did you get the voices?
I am very impressed.
Is this based on audio from LP Star Trek records from years ago? You have done a great job combining the audio with the
CGI animation. I live on SSI income on $733.00 a month so not much left after expenses. I will see if i can donate something after i pay bills next month.

i would suggest trelane or mudd the crew need an annoyance lol
+Ruben Skeens Muuaaahhh! Good point!
im sadly guessing this went dead in the water :(
Its been 2 years. Where is the rest of it?
Not actually a 'lost' episode, but really good nevertheless. I've always wondered what Mudd's Daughters grew up to be... ;)

Almost 3 years...
Is there any hope this will be completed?
4:48 "Spock's unknown sister"..... I get the feeling Senequa Martin-Green would be a good candidate to voice this so-called sister of Spock ;-)
LOL I predicted STD! ;)
This feels more like Start Trek than any of the JJ Trek abominations or the new STD series looks from all trailers and screenshots I've seen so far. Fan creations seems to be the only way to enjoy Star Trek while the corporations try to kill Star Trek off in their vesions.
I'm enjoying this, but I must say that Kirk sort of looks like JFK in this series :)
