  • In this video, we take you on a thrilling journey with the latest marvel in the world of supercars-the Rimac Nevera R. This electric hypercar is more than just fast; it's a groundbreaking machine that redefines speed and performance. According to Mate Rimac, founder and CEO of Rimac Technology, the Nevera R is the only car that accelerates faster than it brakes. With a jaw-dropping 2107 horsepower and a 0-60 mph time of just 1.7 seconds, the Nevera R is setting new standards for hypercars.
The Rimac Nevera R builds on the record-breaking achievements of the original Nevera, but with enhancements that make it lighter, faster, and more aerodynamic. While approximately 30 percent of its components are carried over from the original, Rimac has significantly upgraded the car for superior track performance. Key upgrades include a new one-piece front clip for optimized aerodynamics, a more aggressive look, and advanced aero elements like a larger diffuser and dual-layer fixed rear wing. These changes provide a 15 percent increase in downforce and a 10 percent boost in aerodynamic efficiency compared to its predecessor.
Powering the Nevera R is an advanced all-wheel-drive electric powertrain with newly developed four electric motors, delivering unprecedented levels of power and control. The updated torque-vectoring AWD system, paired with EVO2 carbon-ceramic brakes and Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires, ensures exceptional handling and acceleration.
The Nevera R also features a new 108.0-kWh lithium battery pack with advanced nickel-manganese-cobalt (NMC) chemistry, designed for sustained high performance, making it a true track-focused supercar. The estimated driving range is around 250 miles on the WLTP cycle, with a real-world expectation of about 213 miles per EPA standards. It maintains a peak charging rate of 500 kilowatts, allowing for less downtime and more drive time.
Inside, the Nevera R retains a familiar yet refined layout, featuring a flat-bottom steering wheel, a digital gauge cluster, and a central touchscreen managing audio, climate, and navigation controls. The display model at Monterey Car Week featured a distinctive Nebula Green paint job, inspired by Mate Rimac’s classic green BMW E30 M3. The theme continues inside with matching dashboard accents and contrast stitching, adding a bespoke touch to this high-performance beast.
With production limited to just 40 units and a price tag of around $2.5 million, the Rimac Nevera R is set to be an ultra-rare spectacle on the roads. For those fortunate enough to own one, it promises an unrivaled driving experience, blending state-of-the-art technology, staggering speed, and a glimpse into the future of electric supercars.
