I just LOVE how MUCC can do any style and work it. I can't stand listening to just one genre of music, so how can I expect a band like MUCC to have the same style every single time. I prefer their rockin style,m but hell, pretty much EVERYTHING they put out is solid, because they're such hard workers.
xdd, I still love them. No one's perfect I do wish they can return to their harder old school style. I miss Tatsurou's old vocals so much and their classic rock, blues, hard rock, alternative sounds. His past vocals were unique and had a sense of warmth and passion. His vocals now, are more trained but I still appreciate him for continuing to be an artist and im glad he is still with his band. I really hope that they would bring back their old alternative sound again!
lol at ya haters. how can you insult them like that? i loved this. good bands know how to grow over time. very few are capable, but MUCC is just that epic. so im sorry that you're just to blind to see. people need to open their eyes. looking forward to more MUCC, no matter what style they choose to rock :D
@depechex Kyohsuke was the drummer for La Vie En Rose, not the vocalist. But he was the vocalist for GekiGakuTai. Also, MUCC have grown up since Zekuu and Kuchiki no Tou. They're in their 30s now, world traveled, and exposed to many more things than they were back then. They've evolved and broadened their horizons. I wish more bands were as brave as MUCC to try new things and follow their hearts. Nothing has been lost, but much has been gained.
@Kougasomoi Miya had another band apart of MUCC called Gekigakutai were he composed songs with members from Calimero and the vocalist from La vie en rose. They're very good friends as they record in the same studios (same happens with Cali=gari) and that "project band" had that powerful, deep and emotional sound. I'm not a "metal head" myself but i think is very easy to compare albums like Zekuu, Kuchiki no tou or Homura Uta with their latest releases like Kyuutai and see what is lost.
@obscured01 What made them very FAMOUS and RELEVANT for the music industry was their personal touch, and passion in their songs that were dark and really hard, THAT was their success, with a personal sound and BRILLIANT songs. Tat used to sing FEELING the STRONG lyrics that forced him to express sadness, loneliness, desperation and so on. Bands like DEG still keep their style, their fans are growing and growing and they didn't became bored because when you compose GREAT songs, you never get old.
@cure4thecommon In Japan, to be an indie band is HARD, you have to do EVERYTHING for yourself, that's why they created Shu, their own label at the beginning. MUCC have a BIG support from Universal Music being MAJOR; not only with pvs and lives but also with commercials on tv. Universal push them to tour and release an album and 2 or 3 singles per year. Also Ken "helped" them to become more commercial. This is A LOT of money invested on them.
@cure4thecommon Kyo, as he's better known, was also the vocalist of LVR not only the drummer, but this is not important. Really remarcable is that not every change is always a good thing as they don't follow their hearts right now but the money. Since Ken from l'arc en ciel started to produce the band, they changed to become more popular losing that strength they had once, selling theirselves to the mainstream. You're right in one thing, they're old and got exposed, maybe their time has gone.
@Kougasomoi Miya also composed songs for Kajinaga Daishi, Pyscho le Cemu ex vocalist (check Jitsuroku shonen song on youtube). MUCC didn't become repetitive during that 6 or 7 years, because they had a big talent merging ska with metal, hard rock, pop rock and astounding melodies, it all!!!. Changes aren't good when you're talking about to delete your "trademark sound" that made you famous and downgrade your emotion on your songs in that way. I truly think it's a really bad thing.
@WhiteBlueJAy i soo agree :( that's what happened to mcr too, sad shit :( but still - this is just one song, maby the next one will be "deeper" ^w^ let's just hope lol :p :3
@cure4thecommon Kyo was the main composer and also did the vocals but of course not alone, Yuta and before him 2 frontman were doing the main job, i know them very well since a lot of years don't worry, i simply got over mentioning Yuta, Shinichi and Oyaji. MUCC are MAJOR. They're in Danger Crue but since 2003 Universal Music distributes their CD's, promotes them with pvs and lives, etc, not to mention Ken as their producer. They're far away from being indies again.
@xXTheVirus Absolutely. The MUCC trademark sound they had once a time, throwing their feelings with an inimaginable strength isn't here,... and of course not in Kyuutai and neither in Shion. I've been listening them for 10 years almost EVERY DAY, and Ken destroyed the band when he started to produce the band. 2009-2010 is the decadence of the band and all the singles of this era are truly so far away from what they were.
LOL at people that are still like flipping out because every song of theirs doesn't sound like Ryuusei or something. Have we been listening to the same band? Because one would assume that they would have noticed that MUCC is probably the most diverse JRock band ever, and has never stuck with one style. I love it when people complain like, "This isn't the same!" and typical bullshit, but then if the band keeps the same style, then they're like "It's all the same!". But I guess haters gonna hate.
@obscured01 1) You misunderstand MUCC's position. They DON'T want to sound like they used to. They change their sound ON PURPOSE. 2) This isn't a one time thing, so you might as well leave the fandom. 3) I saw them play it live. So yes, there is a point for the members to be on stage. Because they ARE playing the music. If you say you can't hear guitar, bass, and drums ALONG with the electronic backing track, you're deaf.
Well, you who say Mucc "never had one style" or whatever, that's bullshit. If you listen to the first albums, they have dark and raw feeling on every song, which has steadily been disappearing over the time. I'm not saying: "why are they not the same?", but I do happen to like the earlier sound more. Anyways, about this song...it sounds better than the previous single...Sure this got even more electronic sounds, but I feel like the band is playing more, which is obviously good.
I think that this song is kinda good actually. I really like Miya's heavy guitar riffs in it, and the song itself sounds a bit like Fuzz. The only thing wrong with it is that there's too much synth-effects in it.
@obscured01 Yeah, at least someone notice the huge difference between who were them once a time and who are them right now. You can't ever compare SUPERB songs like Rojiura boku to kimi e, Kugatsu mikka no kokuin or Ware arubeki basho (each one so different) with Falling Down, Yakusoku or Freesia, it's insulting, really how they downgrade theirselfs. This is cheap and easy going music, they had a high quality level in composition but nowadays they're really lost. I'm so sorry and disappointed.
@obscured01 Anyways, MUCC started to change with Houyoku and of course this was and IS ABSOLUTELY on purpose. I don't really like them since a year and i think they're not relevant for the industry anymore, i mean, this song is a FUZZ 1.5, nothing new, and the rest of the singles and B-sides of this year are REALLY bored, nothing fresh or exciting. Diorama was something i would use to sleep and Yakusoku doesn't sound like a single but, anyways, that's the way they take.
LMAO at so much butthurt because MUCC added some electronic music into the mix. Really? If they were still writing music like Zetsubou they wouldn't even be relevant to the music industry (or the fans) anymore because people would be bored of the same old shit. I think this song is awesome. I love that they keep trying new styles of music. I also LOL'd at the Lady GaGa comment. The guys love Lady GaGa, fyi. And maybe they're happy there is finally a market for rock/dance fusion. I know I am.
althou i dont like singles too (really boring yeah) but we cant judge them yet because they will have also "very different" album versions + we havent heard the new album yet. Let em experiment something, you cant take artistic freedom away from them! and my honest opinion: this > fuzz, fuzz sounds too random imho.
@depechex What are you talking about? YUTA was the vocalist for LVER. Kyohsuke only did backing vocals (and rap sometimes). Maybe you want to check your info. Because its wrong. How are they following the money? They are INDIES again so they can make the music THEY WANT and not have Universal trying to make them commercial. You really don't know what you're talking about with either topic here. They aren't making that much money to be selling out for it. Maybe its just time you moved on.
@prznt and yeah i missed the sentence: [althou i dont like singles too i still try accept them. I know you wont like my comment, but we cant judge...] and my comment below continues this... Had to hurry with this reply...
@depechex Yes. He was the main COMPOSER. Not the lead vocalist. If you watched even ONE performance, you would know this. They are no longer with Universal. THEY HAVE RETURNED TO INDIES SINCE FREESIA. Check your CDs. Danger Crue is only their management. Not record label. You really are a lost soul.
they still have great skills for making great rock songs but the pseudo electro/techno/pop whatever stuff sounds like an impurity. why do they have to spoil their music, just because of the money? i don't know... anyway i love all of their albums except kyuutai where that shit started.
I am missing my trashy, rocking mucc.....Thats not mucc anymore. Its everything but not my favorit band :( You were my idols since I was 16 :( Its so sad...5 wonderful years....but now you tried to be too different from your basics...too different for me....I understand if you wanna try something new..... But thats not new, its just mainstream!
@depechex I believe a better question would be: How in the world could someone who judges someone's entire music library and knowledge on the basis of a few videos hope to have a legitimate argument with a solid foundation? Oh, that's right, they can't. Your arguments so far not only show you are an elitest, but prove that you jump to conclusions with no real knowledge on the subject. Perhaps you should try to widen your horizons before you make overarching statements--
I just LOVE how MUCC can do any style and work it. I can't stand listening to just one genre of music, so how can I expect a band like MUCC to have the same style every single time. MUCC NEVER lets us down :) much

I really, really like it. MUCC are doing what they want and they are doing it right. They evolve and change.
lol at ya haters. how can you insult them like that?

It's different but that's what you have to expect from MUCC~
I will definitely buy the album
Aw Farring Down. How cute.
WOUUUUUUUUUUH FALLING DOWN GO DANCE ON THE DANCEFLOOR !!!
stop listening that ! mucc is over
@depechex Kyohsuke was the drummer for La Vie En Rose, not the vocalist. But he was the vocalist for GekiGakuTai. Also, MUCC have grown up since Zekuu and Kuchiki no Tou. oh God, this is awesome
@angelthunder : No problem. :)
I get those pictures on a mucc french forum (called mucc-ussien), there's alot of news about they on it. ^^
@obscured01 What made them very FAMOUS and RELEVANT for the music industry was their personal touch, and passion in their songs that were dark and really hard, THAT was their success, with a personal sound and BRILLIANT songs. @Gravegun ever listened to fuzz? This is not new for mucc...so this is mucc.
AWESOME! O.O
@angelthunder : yeah, I saw pictures from after this live, and he didn't have it any more
@Kougasomoi Miya also composed songs for Kajinaga Daishi, Pyscho le Cemu ex vocalist (check Jitsuroku shonen song on youtube). @8ttruck xD sorry? what bands? because the scene in Japan and in the visual scene isn't in this way.
@cure4thecommon Kyo was the main composer and also did the vocals but of course not alone, Yuta and before him 2 frontman were doing the main job, i know them very well since a lot of years don't worry, i simply got over mentioning Yuta, Shinichi and Oyaji.

@angelthunder it is painting.

ppl should just accept change?
@depechex Yes. He was the main COMPOSER. Not the lead vocalist. If you watched even ONE performance, you would know this.

My ex looks like Tatsurou. I want my ex boyfriend back. >.
no sure if anyone noticed this, but the video doesnt match the music... Love the song though.
sequel to fuzz? fail.
@depechex assuming doing something like that won't make your limited brain reach its capacity...
too bad the audio is so off sync. Its an awesome song, though.
they still have great skills for making great rock songs but the pseudo electro/techno/pop whatever stuff sounds like an impurity. why do they have to spoil their music, just because of the money? i don't know...
anyway i love all of their albums except kyuutai where that shit started.
"Horrible" is not even bad enough... sorry... this and MUCC are two different things
tss electro sound like oz and fuzz !! the voice is dead! -_- hope mucc will do better
