- This was a really good run. Sub 20 should definitely be doable since I lost 13 seconds on vjun1 and 10 seconds on t2_trip with smaller time-saves throughout. I really didn't expect this to be that big of a PB.

People don't understand the amount of time it takes to get to this level. It's beautiful.
This guy is INSANE. I knew about bunny hopping but I'm not very good at it but this guy has MASTERED it! I never experienced this game in it's prime but I've played on a private server and the vanilla MP a bit when the servers where still kinda active. It's a great game and it's a shame no other AAA companies have picked up the concept, the combat, movement, everything about this game is amazing even the graphics for the techincal limitations that game developers had back then. A remaster of the game would be awesome.
@@ArimasVRhonestly bunny hopping isn’t that difficult. It’s way more difficult on console, and I’ve sort of figured out how to do it on console but nowhere near this guys level.
I think the best part about this run is you stabbed Rosh up the ass on the drop at 14:48

This game was my childhood, recently replayed it after nearly 20 years. Being someone who was into alot of CSGO movement finding out JKA had bhopping was an amazing discovery, but seeing the movement done like this feels like a dream. Absolutely amazing man, knowing how jank the movement in this game can be you are fucking awesome

Just recently started playing JKA again and tried (with the help of JKA speedrun tutorials) to learn & copy some of the strats but jeeeez... even the beginner tricks / movements are hard as f*ck. You are literally flying through the levels. This is just god tier movement / knowledge and mastery of the game.
yeah it takes a while to get good at the game, but you can definitely manage. let me know if you need helpp
@DrMeowingtonMD a while? 🙂 I think in terms of speed running, there are 4 categories of players. Casual, begginers, advanced, pros, and the 5th is the elite of the elite god tier. When I started playing the game, one can really see and appreciate the insane level of skill it takes to master the movement and game like in ur runs 👏 ps: fortunately there are some tutorials for beginners to start somehere 😀
I know the voice of Rosh sounds familiar, the person that voices him is Jason Marsden. He’s in a BUNCH of shows like Full House, Fairly odd parents, & boy meets world. & movies as well 🙂

Excluding force jump-- looks like you only need to use the force six times to beat the game. Four force uses on vjun, and two on Korriban. That's neat.
Crazy. This run could been sub 20 with just a little bit better RNG. Big GGs anyway.

This is quite decent for a first playthrough, imagine how fast you'll be after beating it a couple of times.

Could you make a TAS? I'm genuinely interested what a 'perfect' run would be that theoretically could be done by a human
sadly there aren't TAS tools available for JKA, although there has been discussion of a segmented run which would be close to a "perfect" run.

And I thought I was amazing at this game and I was bragging for years that I can finish it in just one day......But when I play it I actually go through all the levels as I should and kill all enemies.
Maybe some seconds could be saved on Tatooine, by blocking elevator with rodian and don't disabling beams at all. Looks like a possible 8-10 seconds save.
yeah i think people have timed that skip to save around 3 seconds, but without using force grip it's pretty inconsistent so I don't usually go for it

is the grenade pull glitch a pretty new discovery? watched some runs a couple years ago that didnt use it at all
yeah it's a couple years old. we made a new category that doesn't use it which most people run.

is Killing Rosh actualy faster? Because of the final boss fight?
not necessarily, but for some reason it gives you a different Alora fight right after which is easier. And you fight Kyle instead of fighting Tavion twice, and Kyle spawns closer.
Some people don't kill Rosh because Alora spawns closer, and Tavion 2 is supposedly easier than Kyle. So I can't imagine it makes a huge difference in the end.
Light side: closer and harder alora but farther and easier final boss
