Heard this song while listening to the album Bell Bottom Country, and wasn't expecting to get sucker-punched in the heart on a Tuesday night. My dad passed almost 2 yrs ago. He always had a pair of cowboy boots. If he wasn't wearing his work boots, he was wearing his cowboy boots. Even the verse about her stealing them and wearing em around the house hits home. I have a picture of me, about 3-4 yrs old, wearing them. Even though they went way up to the tops of my thighs at the time.
I love this song! It’s hard to find a cobbler who knows what they’re doing. I’m going to miss the one that’s in the town where I lived when my daughters were still in school.
This song makes me miss my grandma Elva and she was my world and she passed away from Alzheimer’s and she was my great grandma and my great grandpa is just barely holding in today he has been in and out of the hospital and he is not doing good. He’s giving CNN g up slowly but surely and I think it’s because he misses his wife 😢

I grew up on a 60 acre tree farm and my dad is the sweetest, hardest working man I know…he made it hard to find a man to fill those boots , I cry everytime I hear this song
