  • Some pretty bad trades here, more videos definitely coming soon with some different editing styles on the way as well. I am also going to try and upload longer videos in the future so keep an eye out for that.

Kevin McHale AND Robert Parish for Joe Barry Carroll. Yes, the Celtics got two of the 1980s big 3 for the #1 overall pick in Carroll.

Chauncey Billups for Allen Iverson. Billups ends up leading the Denver Nuggets to their first ever Western Conference Finals while Iverson flames out of the league and Detroit Pistons haven't won a playoff game since.

The Kobe Bryant trade happened coz Kobe didnt want to play for a small market, Divac a solid centre back then, do better than him throwing tantrums and since he didn't want to play get something in return.

Seattle drafted Scottie Pippen for Chicago. It was a pre draft trade Pippen & Olden Pahl-a-niece (Polyniece). Kobe was only going to sign with the Sixers the Lakers. He wasn't even the national POY of his high school class. It was Ron Mercer. He didn't start for the Lakers until his 4th season

Kobe was the 13th pick, which means 12 other teams passed on him. So, however you feel about Charlotte, then place those 12 other teams in the same boat. If I didn't have the patience to develop a 17 year old player coming straight out of high school right into the NBA, then I'm not drafting Kobe either. The Lakers had the luxury of being patient with Kobe, because they had an all-star backcourt in Eddie Jones and Nick Van Exel. People like to make things cut and dry with the benefit of hindsight. Besides that, Kobe didn't want to play in Charlotte anyway.

Also the Hornets went 54-28 & 51-31 in his 2 years there they weren’t a rebuilding team they were expecting to win and he was a high level starting center. Plus one of the biggest factors in the Lakers trading him was clearing cap space to sign Shaq. Otherwise they probably don’t trade away Vlade for a 17 year old. It was part of a bigger plan

Rockets trading away both Sam Cassell and Robert Horry for an aging Charles Barkley during the 1996 offseason.
Cassell and Horry were both outstanding 3-point shooters who helped space the floor for Hakeem. The trade took away the Rockets depth, as the only 3-point shooters remaining were Clyde Drexler, Matt Maloney, and Mario Elie.
Barkley also preferred to post up on the right block. The same block as Hakeem prefers to post up. This caused Barkley to readjust his game to post up on the left block instead.
This trade set the Rockets back a few years, as it led to the events of the Rockets trading for Scottie Pippen during the 1998 offseason. By 2001, everyone had already left the team, and the Rockets became the worst team in league. This led to the Rockets using their first pick of the 2002 Draft to select Yao Ming.

And Fat. I love Barkley but rockets Barkley was like Boston’s Shaq.
Pippen hated Barkley after playing with him there.
Also, Horry is the GOAT of role players

Yes, but it is hard to say if Seattle would have ever drafted Gary Payton, because Scottie Pippen was also a great playmaker.
