    This is one of the best English lessons I've ever taken. Thank you. By the way, is there any background information regarding why some verbs require gerunds or infinitives? Memorizing all those verbs is a kind of burden; therefore, if there is any principle that can be applied to figure out which verb should be followed by a gerund or an infinitive, it would be a tremendous help for people who have some difficulty in memorization.

      There are so many verbs that require a gerund or an infinitive that even websites that give specific lists will list different verbs. I think the best way to master this skill is to read and listen to as much English as possible, and learn how to use as many verbs that you can.
