- Back from a killer road trip out to Moab for Fullsize Invasion! Ton of great trails and good people with my family along for the ride!

What are you working on this weekend? My truck is parked in the shop covered in red dirt still! It did great and all it needs is a good cleaning!
Currently waiting on my distributor from Summit for my 89 K5. Kinda sucks spending money on this motor while building a 6.0 for the “LS” swap. In a week or so I’m starting body and paint.
A seadoo and taxes! Living vicariously through you until I clear the garage (hence the seadoo work) and make some space to work on the Dana 60 and 14 bolt for my k5. Will be reviewing your old build vids!!
A trick : watch movies on InstaFlixxer. I've been using it for watching loads of movies these days.

Actually it is the arizona army truck. It began as the Alabama. Then became the Alaska. Now it lives in AZ

Im wiring up the new wing of my shop. After that im putting on new brakes on the TJ. Here in NC its mainly mud and hill climbs. Some of those chutes yall did made my head spin lol.
They are crazy steep. But the traction here is amazing.

How do you keep oil to the motor
Not that much of a concern. Angle isn’t what it looks like and oil pump works great
Hey Merrick I’m headed to Moab from Texas in April to ride let’s meet up. I got a built buggy I need someone to ride with out there
Any trail suggestions for rookies. I live in so cal. Just bought my first truck(84 k5 blazer) she has a totally stock 305 with an air cleaner and the hack saw special for an exhaust on 33s. I wanna start taking it out but have no clue where to start. Besides the occasional dirt trails behind my house
Where in So Cal? So many options. Big Bear has mild to wild and everything in between. Anza Borrego is amazing beauty, nice trails and a great beginner area for hill climbs. Cleghorn Road to Pilot Rock is a good one too which takes you into Arrowhead. So many great trails!

In a month or two I’m going to like my straight body fresh paint K5 too much to go to Utah🤣 looks Like I’m dune bound. I like this type of wheeling but not for this truck.
I have done more damage in the dunes than the rocks by far! 😂
@@MerricksGarage I’m curious, how/what exactly? I believe you, just wondering. This is my primary driver not necessarily “daily” but preferred. It’ll be off road occasionally but nothing too radical (no ravines,rock ledges,trees etc.) I plan to just cruise around with the family and the top off. The wife and daughter get upset when I get crazy anyway they hate it when I get squirrelly in the snow
so no jumps or high speed stuff🤣That’s what the dirt bikes and ATVs are for.
I have rolled on two separate occasions in the desert / dunes lol
