You want to talk about stupid? Not long ago there was a restaurant where 2 fans we watching a Yankees/Red Sox game at the bar. One was a Yankee fan - the other a Red Sox fan. Well they got into it at the bar - then took it outside - one of the men pulled out a gun and killed the other man. Imagine sitting in jail for the rest of your life and people ask why you’re in jail? And the reply is - because the Yankee fan was busting my balks. How STUOID!!
This case might not actually be self defense, I don’t know. But the number of shots fired is completely irrelevant to whether or not it was self-defense. You can fire six shots in like two seconds.

They’re very specific, if you shoot someone in the back it’s pretty hard to prove you were under threat but if somebody’s entered your home unwanted and is a clear threat you can drop them. It just happened to an older guy the week before last. At first he was arrested until the sheriff figured out what happened and how 3 guys got dead on his property. Once they figured it out a couple hours later they gave him a ride home.
We don't know that the guy was actually shot six times. The "six shots" was only what that neighbor claims he heard. That's not confirmed. This report told us almost nothing official from the police findings as to what actually went down during and moments leading up to the shooting. Mostly was anecdote from that one neighbor who was pretty far away and didn't really go outside to see til the shots heard. But a lot of you assumed you know what happened and jump right to judge and execution. Smfh. 🙄🤦

She let her dog poop in a neighbor's yard one visit and they left a note on the garage door telling her to keep the dog off their property after they stepped in it, security camera showed where it came from. Generally you would park in front of the house you are visiting if there is no room in their driveway. If there is no room on the street either it is surely fine to park in front of the neighbor's house on the street. For a neighbor to bring out a gun to confront the person parking is not a good look, obviously. Surely words were exchanged but what happened after that needs clarification. It does not look good for the guy with the gun, that's for sure. Edit: Just saw in another report that this feud has been going on for weeks and the person killed also had a gun.
Street parking is public parking. I've had a couple of people over the years try to say otherwise. Sometimes they will put an old chair on the spot. That is only warrented in winter after a heavy snowfall and a local resident shovels it out.
Street parking entitlement is going too far here in the US. Many Americans thinking they own street parking now. You can find many videos of it on youtube. That's how low Americans has gotten. Just sad...

I had a 23 year old kid almost shoot me over my ex-wife's parking spot she OWNED. When we divorced she bought a condo that had a covered parking spot that was part of the property. So this young kid kept parking there after she asked him to stop and informed him it was her parking spot. So one Sunday afternoon she calls me and asked me if I'd talk to him so I came over and just happened to catch him coming out of the complex so I stopped him and asked him to stop parking there and he ask me who I was and I informed him. So he ask me to pull over and park and when I did and I got out and walked up to his car to talk to him and I never threatened this kid, he started rocking back and forth in his seat and saying you want to hurt me, like I said I never yelled at him or threatened him and I told him I don't want to hurt you we just want you to not park in her spot that she owns. Anyway he kept rocking back and forth in his seat and then he pulls up this pistol with his right hand, and I said No weapon formed against me shall prosper.(Isaiah 54:17) and then I said, SAVE ME JESUS! Romans 10:13 Whosoever shall call upon the Name of the Lord shall be saved. Then he jumps out of his car and I take off but am quickly trapped be a pool fence and this kid is in a firing stance trying to draw a bead on me. Did I stand there and tell him to take his best shot , not hardly I put faith to action, (James 2:20) Faith without works is dead. I was jumping side to side up and down and he finally got back in his car and took off without shooting. I called the police and they came out and we caught him a couple of hours later and found out he was a military policeman in the National Guard. The police wanted me to file assault with a deadly weapon but I would'nt do it. After the policeman went and read him the riot act, like you have just ruined your life by threatening someone with your service pistol and you will have a felony record the rest of your life and you will get a dishonorable discharge from the service, I sat with the policeman while the kid was in another police car stewing on what he just told him for about 30 minutes, he got pretty humbled and realized what was at stake and apologized.

When will lawmakers, cough, realize that neighborhood disputes are not CIVIL. The lack of laws prohibit LE to stop the aggressive and out of control neighbor to be arrested. The aggressor is usually not arrested because there are no laws protecting innocent people.
Police aren’t there to protect. They’re there to take the crime scene photos and to hand out tickets. Public order is a priority too otherwise you’re on your own in a lot of places until there’s a cadaver involved.

When will lawmakers, cough, realize that neighborhood disputes are not CIVIL. The lack of laws prohibit LE to stop the aggressive and out of control neighbor to be arrested. The aggressor is usually not arrested because there are no laws protecting innocent people.
Police aren’t there to protect. They’re there to take the crime scene photos and to hand out tickets. Public order is a priority too otherwise you’re on your own in a lot of places until there’s a cadaver involved.
