I don't think naib is evil, nor do I think that the magician can be evil maybe if maybe I don't know it, I don't know, but what I think is that he does that as it was seen in the video on someone's orders more than he controls and manipulates them, maybe someone else from the mysterious mansion, or the host of the same, the game's story is not yet perfectly known, I don't know, you just have to wait patiently, to see what he takes out and it happens. And probably, that possible person who is controlling and manipulating the magician and the mercenary, would have ordered them to poison one of the wine glasses so that the forward dies since he knew too much, the magician and the mercenary may have refused do it but that this same person has forced them to do it or else he would kill them. But it is seen that there may be 2 endings in the deduction story of the forward, the first where the glass of wine is not taken and saved, and the other where it is taken and dies, according to the decisions made in its deduction story.
