It would be nice if Kubota would hire you two to do all of their demonstration videos. Love the step by step and the real time video. Most demos are pieced and spliced together in a way that you can miss a step trying to figure out where they are. Also many of their people they use seem like they may have never used the equipment, I can get that experience from reading a manual.
I have the 25D it’s 7 years old with 645 hrs but I use it at least 8 hrs a week still at 75 now I still work around my place from about 5am till around 5-6 pm daily & others doing fire wood sales & stump grinding for hire & debri clean up with my grappler & my 12 ft Dump trailer. Love seeing you guys & your videos so keep on trucking (tractoring) & God Bless you both from Titusville Florida on the space coast.
Personally I feel the BX 25 D was Kubota’s best BX ever produced. Bulletproof and little to no issues. We bought ours back in 2013 new. It was one of the earliest ones with in intention of keeping it for one year to do the jobs we needed it for and we still have it. Fantastic machine. Happy to hear you like yours. Keep well. @@7863348 I just thank God for U both & was glad to hear your doing well after your heart attack as at 75 I've seen way too many of people I know that have not made it plus lost many friends to being hit on their motorcycles lately so at 75 I just sold my last Harley & quit riding as I've road bikes for 55 years but it just got to be too many are no longer looking out for bikers & are in such a hurry to get ever place. My wife still works for a heart specialists here in town for 3 hours once a week to help out & she says so many don't take care of themselves after their heart attacks so we are happy for you both that your still with us to share with us a small part of your lifes once in a while. I was a Master ASE CERTIFIED mechanic for years plus a Smi Truck driver before I retired many years ago but I still learn things from your videos & love watching them so keep well & safe on your bike & keep us informed when ever you have time to make those great videos. Good morning Robert. We have simular backgrounds. I don’t blame you for getting off the bike. We still ride but not as much as we did in the past. We spend a lot of time designing and building our products and it’s truly something we love to do. It’s not like work at all and if we go out for a drive we go in the car or van. In the last three weeks we’ve lost two motorcycle riders because of illegal ATV riders going across the road and hitting time. Texting is a real problem here as well. People just aren’t looking out for riders anymore. It’s a sad world these days.
It’s late fall for us here now. Winter is not far off so the bikes and the convertible will be parked for the long winter ahead. Sounds like you don’t stop much. Good for you. Keeping busy is good for the soul and being active is always a good thing. Think you for your kind words. I’m glad I survived the heart attacks, it was life altering but we’ve gone on to do much better and important things in our life. All the best to you and yours sir. Keep safe.

Love the new easier connection for the backhoe ... definitely an improvement ... I lower mine on to a dollie I purchased a couple years ago ... the backhoe was always in the way no matter where I put it for the winter ... anyway ... informative video!
I love the lockout on the backhoe. I have already been in a very dangerous situation because of that on my BX25.

I love all your video’s I’ve seen and really appreciate that you do them. Sad that you’re no longer going to do safety video’s because I know I would benefit from every one you’d post. I also play through the majority of the commercials in your vids because I believe you get some type of compensation for each if “not skipped”. I had a BX23 years ago and it had the same kinda backhoe connection and over time (I had it for 10 years) it had the same sticking trouble as you say the BX25D can have, Grease is the key! keep your equipment maintained and it will make all the deference, I have a BX25D now and I love it!
So true Robert. I chose not to use grease though. Grease attracts dust and dirt and can in itself cause those pins to stick. I use Fluid Film instead. Great product if you haven’t tried it.

Taking the backhoe on and off the BX23S is pretty easy but I have found with mine that the levers to lock and unlock the cams are stiff and hard to get to lock in the open position. It looked effortless for Paul to open the cams. I'm not sure if it is just my model or if Paul has super strength! One of my favorite additions to the backhoe was a BXpanded dolly cart for storage. I can't recommend getting a cart enough. It makes reattaching the backhoe really simple because you can move the cart around to get the backhoe perfectly aligned with the frame on the tractor. You don't need the cart but it is handy. The other great feature of using a cart is that you can keep the outriggers up and boom fairly compact to save space. Being able to wheel the hoe into the corner or along the wall and out of the way is great. Thanks for video Paul. I love my BX23S. Keep the mods coming!

Hi Paul & Cathy good demo . Like you menchion about previous models the hydraulics are soo much quicker compared to my 23bx 08 model . Know i know wot to expect if i updated.

My opinion is if Paul says it, I believe and that settles it. He "IS" the man when it comes to these tractors as well as everything else he does.

I helped my brother in law put his backhoe back on his small Kubota and it was a nightmare, it had leaked down. It took us hours to reattach it. I like the new model
Hi Paul and Kathy. I really enjoy your video series and I got a BX23S in April 2017. I just wanted to make a comment about the re-installation sequence. When re-installing the back hoe, you should consider releasing the cam lock pin levers prior to moving the cam lock into the pins. The cams will automatically lock once the pins are in the correct position and you will hear the sound of the pins locking to confirm a secure lock.
I never assume things will lock automatically. I visual look then test and a twist of the wrist assures they are in place and locked. I like to demonstrate in such a way that keeps people safe and not complacent.
Can you do a demo on how to put on the 3 point hitch for the bx23s thanks

One of the tools that I have that is very useful to me, is a caddy for the backhoe and FEL. I got one for each that is custom made for implement. They each have wheels. These tools allow you to roll these implements around by hand. There a company here in the US (Bxbanded) that sells these items. Knowing the good work you do I’m sure your could make these and probably improve on the design. These are really handy items if have limited space. Also you don’t have to pull the tractor forward you can push the backhoe and FEL to align the implement to the tractor. Keep up the good work you do and I really enjoy your video’s

Thank you. I put 2” spacers on mine. I think 3” will load up the axel and bearing a lot BUT I could be wrong 😉

No Robert they don’t. It’s still an option. That being said I’ve never needed one on my BX25D. Heat the glow plugs long enough and it will start on the first try.
Can you make another video. My fuel gauge is not working correctly on my 2016 BX 25D. It shows low fuel with the light on, on the dash even after I filled the fuel tank full of fuel. Maybe you can show how to replace it.

Hello Paul, I just received my BX23S. What type of grease would you put on the cylinder when storing it? Would WD40 or PL100 do the job or it has to be absolutely the same type we use on the grease fitting. Thanks for the video!
I usually just take an old rag and soak it in oil then rub the oily rag on the Chrome of the cylinder. It’s always worked for me. Congratulations on the tractor.
Did classic truck rescue contact you paul as he bought a Kubota and was saying to him on comments about your mods for the Kubota tractor as his one didn't have the backhoe on it

You were saying to put something underneath the back hoe to support it in longer storage times. Could this be a another mod.Do you think you could design a adjustable docking station that would adjust to the different sizes of back Hoes. Just an idea to think about, not that you do not have any thing ponder.
Thanks Chris. No doubt a docking station could be designed for the back hoe but we all use a few concrete blocks or wooden blocks to take care of the task so a dedicated docking station might not be a big seller in my opinion considering those things. It goes to show you have a good inventive mind. Thanks for watching.

There’s one thing I haven’t been able to do and that’s stop inhaling and exhaling. The wireless mic was 4” from my mouth. If we used the mic on the camera you would barely hear me because of the tractors motor running. Sorry about the audio. Personally I thought it was very good.
Audio was very good. Good presence and the noise was low👍👍. I like this sound better than the mic on the camera.
I don’t use the wireless system enough to get used to it but the next time I’ll keep it farther away from my mouth and turn it down a tough. It’s all a leaning experance. Thanks.
