Remember the "Guinea Pig" films from Japan? A few guys from the US did, and decided to make their own simulated snuff film and piggyback on "Guinea Pig" to get some attention. Will this be any good? I doubt it, but let's see how this goes.
Every once in awhile I’ll go back to this and remember when a producer of this put a LONG comment on here offering Emer to do a movie with him to prove him wrong or something like that 😂
Its a good thing I missed that brouhaha because I would have taken the guy up on it. I would have told him "it doesnt take any creative ability to xerox Guinea Pig 2 which is what you did. Give me 2 grand and I could deliver a movie better than yours"

There’s actually people who try to say “This isn’t constructive criticism, it’s a personal attack!!” Clearly these clowns don’t know what makes a “criticism” without sugarcoating it.
I like that he aways got to the point he didn't try to pade out the video, he always gave a critical analysis of the movie he was reviewing.

Thing is is that someone getting sliced & diced while 100% paralyzed (even unable to scream) seems even scarier to me. There's not just pain but absolute helplessness along with the fact that screaming is a "release" of sorts.
That said; The flick looked fakey-pants so it matters zilch.
(Oh; I'm aware that Emer Prevost passed away a while back and he won't read this.)

Why does Hollywood keep insisting on making these awful remakes of horror films? So far this year we had the Martyrs remake and the Cabin Fever remake which were both just complete wastes of time and money.

Will you please consider reviewing a German film called "Angst" (1983)? I thought it did a pretty good job of putting you in the mindset of a serial killer. You might find it somewhat interesting if you decide to watch it.

Ok I just watched the trailer for this film, and it comes up at the start that it was videotapes received by a famous actor!! So they are actually using the whole Charlie Sheen flowers of flesh and blood tale (still dunno if that's actually true or urban myth) Anyway looks kak.

Now, I assume this movie takes place in modern time so I could be wrong, but if so, who the hell would use a friggin super eight camera for their snuff film. Wouldn't the psycho want the gore to be recorded at the highest quality possible? Just use your friggin IPhone at least.
Mechabradzilla the backstory is that in 1986 an infamous anime artist was mailed a snuff film and he reported it. inspired, he created the original flower of flesh and blood movie. these were investigated, but with no leads, the case was dropped. more snuff films were unearthed (this one) and were intercepted by INTERPOL due to the graphic nature, only agents working on the case could see the film.

I've never been into the faux snuff genre. Those movies - for the most part - ditch little things like plot in favor of sadism and gore.
You know I learn about this movie thanks to a TH-camr I follow name Kenshin Mizuhara.
i would say the guys in masks would of not of been to hard to identify. tatoo of 'hard times' would of been identifiable. the guy with long hair and for that matter the shaved head dude did not do much to conceal their identities. great movie nonetheless. i do believe to much evidence could of been gathered from the film
I'll stick to the original Japanese gunei pig box set🤘🏼 had a chance to buy this year's ago🤑but knew without seeing it was not going to compare🤘🏼

if your going to "review" a movie then at least have some sense and be constructive absolutley ridiculous slamming someone and their work for your entertainment personally I'm a huge fan of American guinea pig everyone's entitled to their own opinion but when your publicly slating someone on a personal level that's not cool one if you think you can do better then try doing it you have been called out and when confronted your just getting nasty
Dude, the director basically made an ass of himself on the vain of "You just don't get it!? I didn't make this movie for you!!", and then try to challenge said person to make his own movie just to bolster his own ego
If someone cannot handle criticism either they need to grow thicker skin and learn from those critics or perhaps filmmaking is not their best option
No use getting mad at everyone who doesn't like your movie
We all have our own opinions, and Mr. Director of this movie clearly doesn't know that, or just doesn't care

Besides, sometimes you need criticism to understand how to fix your craft and if you can't handle it then you should get a thicker skin
