I honestly miss that old design of her, it surprised me to see that she was using it again, at least for this stream; and seeing the debut made think about how it was her collabs with Hana Macchia that got me into watching some vtubers that I could understand (english speaking ones) as a passive entertainment. Then I watched some clippers and honestly they don't get enough credit for what they're doing for all of these livers. I'll never repent sobscreb to you wow? even though you post really kimoi gae stuff on the community tab.

Any of y'all with an afternoon to spare, give this watchalong a watch. At a later point, Pika straight up collapsed into a singularity from her own cringe; it's great. Though frankly I don't think her debut is too cringe. It's standard-looking for anyone who's starting out without much experience. Dare I say it's cute - as she is now.
Agreed. I've watched many regular TH-camrs start out like this, and then adopt a very different personality (or rather, let their actual selves come through) as they become more comfortable with what they do.
I've watched that debut stream four times prior to this (not on the same day, but over the past few months), and while I can understand that she feels mighty uncomfortable looking at her past self (I'd probably feel the same way if it were me in her position), I also think she's making it look much worse than it is. Personally, I think that debut stream has a certain charm to it, and that her nervousness made her extra adorable. It's funny hearing the contrast between that deep, mature voice and her high-pitched, more childish-sounding one. She's come a long way since, but she's still the cute and lovable dork she was back then.
Yeah she spoke about it on a Freechat ages ago...she said she initially used a deeper voice coz she originally got told her high pitched voice gets "annoying".. she slowly got comfortable with her "real" pitch and her now "Familee Friendlee" Kusogaki ways =P
