@willthomas2310 Jewels, Amedola, & Hogan were slots arguably along with Cooks. Douglas reminds me of Brandon Cooks more than Welker or Edelman. This team needs anything at this point.
@@willthomas2310 Both Xavier and Jack would play a good percentage of their snaps in the slot. Yes, Pop is in the slot, however, it is clear the are not having him run a good percentage of the traditional slot routes. My guess is that they are concerned his durability and ability to break tackles on those gimme stick movers. So, grabbing a bigger, stronger, and more durable receiver that run those routes would be smart. Both Xavier and Jack play a good percentage of their snaps out wide. However, I think Jack might have the edge there. Regardless, both could be a reliable stick mover. Pop's best use is scheming up a play that gets the ball in his hands with some space and let him break ankles. I don't want him taking those 5-10 yard cracks in the middle of the field.
Williams is only 6'3, well I shouldn't say only but he's not 6'5. I really like Savion, but he's going be one of those WRs who is so raw that get overdrafted due to late surge by media hype machines. (No offense but like your channel and few dozen others. Again no offense I give you props and actually love your channel as one ran by a "real fan'! So, I would say Bech is no different than Polk. (Lol, in college Polk actually had good hands and good getting open agains defensive schemes.) He's actually not as good as Boutte was in college, Unfortunately, like with many many WRs under Belichick reign, Boutte was set back in development and play time last year. More importantly, Maye looks for Boutte they have chemistry. You want that connection to mature and grow. I know Pop Douglas is a fan fave and exciting for Pats fans hoping to get another Welker or Edelman go to slot WR but today's NFL really really does not support that function on successful teams. (Heck one could argue it didn't even during the 2000s Patriot's dominants, but it was Josh McDaniels offense plus Brady who made slot WRs the thing at the time.) I think Boutte could be better for this team than Pop once all is done an said. (Meaning Polk wakes up and you have your X receiver.) Not saying Douglas can't be an integral part as a receiver, just not from the slot where he is conditioned to play. I would trade Polk + Pop for wide receiver with speed+size+dogg, in a heartbeat. (Pop is twitchy not straight line fast. Unless it's the last man to get past he's not out running majority of DBs, maybe not even safeties in today's NFL. Anyway, the Pats need, well first and foremost an OL to protect Maye- LT, RT, LG in priority order to protect Maye, but an outside WR who plays big and has that dog in them but can actually prove the dog in them on the field. Most fans, even myself to a degree, would like to get Higgins in free agency to fill the outside X receiver role. But Higgins success, or any X receiver for this team, will reside with Maye having time to launch those passes beyond 30 yards successfully...to keep defenses honest to all areas of the field!!
Can we just not play games with these late round guys and take the best WR in college football in the first round?? I’m tired of taking shots on these guys with low percentage chances of being successful in the league. Let’s keep it simple and take Hunter 😂
That's what we've been doing for the longest time now, & it hasn't panned out for us. We finally have the opportunity to draft a WR that's ranked in the top 3. Guys like this are cool when we wanna add sum depth to the roster, as UDFA's. Hunter will likely stay at corner tho, & will probably play WR in certain situations.
He looks too slow. The Patriots have no fast receivers, with Pop Douglas being the possible exception. We need a fast, X receiver first. If we get that receiver, then add this guy. John McHatton
This kid is an athlete. BIg body receiver with great hands and good route running skills.
Future Commander
Looks like a good candidate for the Judon trade pic...
When the Patriots draft a WR, they immediately forget how to catch the ball, so I ignore any reference to "suction cup hands". LOL
No we just draft bad wrs unfortunately 😢
Idk where he'd play in new england but he would have a very important role
Hes going to run in the 4.4s and probably shoot up boards. His shuttle should be nice too
Could be a Puka
That's not a bad comp in terms of playstyle and body type.
I like Xavier Restrepo in the later rounds. Seems like a stereotypical Patriot.
@markcruise999 i think X will be gone by day 2. I would love to get him on Day 3 though.
Restrepo will go in the second round early third later won’t be there in the later rounds
Isn't he a slot receiver tho? we already have one of those with Douglas.

Future Seahawk, the replacement for Tyler Lockett!
How’s his grades what is his major? I ask because I want guys who can play smart. We have enough stupid receivers.

Yeah, he would be a day 3 guy. So, HOPEFULLY, not their first wide receiver taken in the draft or free agency.
Two words.. Quentin Johnston lol. Stay away from all TCU Wrs
Nah qj has always had weird hands not a Tcu problem
