Book recommendation: I'm currently reading Shmutz by Felicia Berliner. I feel like you'd enjoy this one too. It's about a young woman in an ultra-orthodox community in NY. She's trying to find a husband, but she sort of has a porn addiction and now finds herself caught between tradition and the modern world.

Vera is riveting compared to Elizabeth and Her German Garden, which I recently finished reading. Enchanted April is her best in my opinion although I did enjoy Mr. Skeffington years ago and more recently Father was a fine read with some funny bits and good character studies. I love the writing of Elizabeth Strout, although Lucy by the Sea was anxiety producing bringing it all back and I had to take a break from it, then went back to it and loved it and how well it portrayed the behavior of people during the pandemic. Olive Kitteridge is one of my favorite characters in literature, although, she is realistically horrible from time to time. Klara and the Sun was my favorie read of 2022.
