I really loved this song! But as I grew in my understanding of the Word of God, it made me think harder about some of the lyrics. 'Beauty is found even in broken things' Is this Biblical? If it is, how and based on what Scripture? To me, this line suggests that we have beauty within our broken selves that needs to be discovered and brought out. On the other hand, what I see in the Bible is that we have no beauty of our own, rather its all messed up, broken and sinful. And Jesus is the One who picks up these broken pieces and He 'turns' them into something beautiful. There is no beauty found in the broken things, rather the broken things can be turned into something beautiful through Jesus. I could be wrong in my interpretation of the line. Would love to hear back from you guys. God bless!
