  • Hey guys, it's Scar.
In this video I went back to Patton State Hospital, a Criminal Insane Asylum located in Highland, CA. (On Highland Ave. just East of Victoria Ave.)
This is the sequel to my original Patton State Hospital motovlog.
This time I was able to ride and give a first-person view of inside the compound (without going into restricted areas, still pretty cool though).
If you have any historical knowledge about Patton State Hospital or any interesting stories about it, I'm sure we'd all appreciate hearing about it in the comments.
    Thanks, enjoy the video!

I always pass by there and have been curious to go in, but don’t want to get in trouble lol. Crazy seeing how it used to look, hard to believe a building like the ones in the picture used to be there

worked at Patton close to 40 years ago. worked inside (where the patients are) and outside (where the maintenance buildings are) it has not changed much but from the footage, but it still feels like it has.

@@wokkie1999, i worked for the California Conservation Corp., early mid 80's. the place was located in and towards the back of Patton grounds where the maintenance buildings are. there were buildings with dorms (not on the mentally ill side of the fence but still on Patton grounds) one for males and another side dorms for females and a cafeteria. you could room and board in these dorms or "off campus" if you have family near by. as far as work, i would go into where the committed patients resided, with maintenance crews employed by Patton (carpentry, sheet metal, cement masonry) and we would do whatever "work order", type of work we had to do. i have seen some interesting things involving patients while i worked in there, pretty fascinating stuff. i can give more details (without names of course) about those experiences later if you remind me, since i am off to sleep now. idk if that California Conservation Corp (CCC) place is on Patton grounds currently but probably not anymore. still interested in the place though...a lot of interesting people and memories.
