@@ayaw5552 by dictating he means that the micro and macro play of the tanks. The way you play has an impact in the game and according to him tanks has the highest impact so they dictate the pace of the game. Not dictating every single action of your allies but the game itself.

I sometimes let my self be slained just to give time for the carry to escape. Some don't and still come closer, some will comeback when they see enemy life is low. But they say Sorry when they die.
I used to love playing tank. I thought I played really well too. Whenever I had a good adc or assassin in team, I supported my best, and we'd win. But most of the time teammates are clueless if you play solo. I lost count how many times I brought enemy player/players to very low health or cc-ed them. But there was no one to finish it off. Most damage dealers are always busy farming and don't know when to attack. Other times they run around only looking for kills without checking map. So unless you have dedicated friends to play with, playing tank is a nightmare.
Very true, especially in Epic hell. I stopped playing tank in Epic cos your teammates just use you as a meat shield and don't follow your lead at all. Things get better in Legend (tanked my way through to mythic last season) but definitely give up tanking in Epic tier or lower. And forget about roaming items when playing solo rank in epic hell - your ADC will almost always be trash and feed the enemy to victory!
Keep your fear you just need to carry them because if you always def your base and your teammates with lategame heroes you can comeback don't lose confident

As a tank player with a pretty high rank,(mythical glory in Indonesia server), my best tip would be: 1. Open the map, dont stick with your carry. 2. In a team fight, one tank should disturb the enemy marksman/ damage dealer, and the other one should cover your team's marksman. 3. Dont show yourself in the map to often, sometime just let you carry clear the lane, and sometime the enemy team might get greedy, and tries to pick off your carry, but they dont know that you re ready to cover your carry from behind. Most people are clueless about map awareness,zoning,etc.most of the carry just keep engaging war without the tank(which is usually me) because i always zoning the enemy to force them to retreat so our team could take the turret, but instead our carry and assassin just want kills instead of destroying the turret with the support,they chased the enemy while the turret was open and always make the enemy win this kind if team fight.......this kind of thing alwats happens and when my carry dies because of this, they always blame the tank that doesn't be their shield to dive in towers.
U can try to find out why would ur carry said those things,maybe ur rotation is just too late and doesnt gave a lot of contribution on the other lane that u tried to help,dont help other lane if ur carry doesnt look safe,if u r pretty sure that u will win a teamfight in other lane while sacrificed one lane,then u will make sure ur carry in bot lane doesnt stick in the 1 outer turret,just let the first outer turret destroyed by the enemy offlaner,i usually do that if i play with my squad

I've been using tank for 80% in rank and seeing alot of player still not understand the role of tank.and blaming tank for: -not clear lane -some of them in early ask to retreat when help them attack buff -some "pro" say tank midlane(tf) -blaming at tank for ganking meanwhile they prefer "shopping" Some of them say don't worry I carry the game,sometime I purposely left that player wanna see how he want to carry without tank😂 Those are some common point that I faced. What rank is this? At epic - legend people mostly know how tanks work. Though at GM below best advice is to not play tank because your mid and adc are probably trash. Best to play mid at these ranks to control the flow of the game.

Same here. Last season i was in Legend 1 4 stars. Before end season,straight lose all because i wanted to reach Mythic. Stupid. Really stupid. Dropped to Legend IV because all those toxic motherfuckers who just know how to blame others, end season i was placed in Epic 3 and now stuck in it. Fuck that. Im a mid lane mage and side lane mm player. I carry the game if i got a moderate tank player help roaming with me. The problem is that game which i got a good player is less. Sometimes i dominate the early game and lose late game because feeding or dont know how to farm or play safe teammates. Sometimes my team is total garbage. After few games,i started to question my ability to play. I thought something is wrong somewhere im my playstyle. Since i noticed so mamy games ended up with no tank,because the player who promised wanted to play tank,usually s4 or s5 will change it last minutes. Ended up being 2 mm or assasin in team and at last either one will not have a farm because the others took it. And boom lose. I played tank because of that. The problem now is when i play tank, helpimg adc to farm,providing vision,roam the map after all those effort,still lose because my team adc dont know how to maintain the distance in a teamfight. So often i encounter this players who thinks they are too good and blaming everyone in the map but dont realise they are the one which is failing to see whats wrong in them. Mm cant farm,because tank not helping or just leave them be eventhough their lane is being pressured causimg them to not get farm,then lose blame mm because he cant farm. How is mm going to farm and what mm can do eventhough he has a lot farm but all the other teammate is feeding. 1 farmed mm vs 5 farmed team? How their supposed to carry the game for you when you are a useless shit? If i encounter this things 1 out 10 games,i can understand. I wont be frustrated. But 9 out 10 game is shit team showing winrate and local or global leaderboard rank but playing like warrior rank. There is no common sense mostly. Im having hard time playing because my team doesn’t want to follow, they want them to be followed by me intead of them following me. Ive had a lot of succesful sets/ganks but sadly my team lacks map awareness. In the end, it was all my fault😞

xtreme Falcon agreed. Playing solo tank in gm and epic sucked ass. All the adcs dont know how to read the map. They just kept farming and would never push even though we just wiped out 4/5ths of the opposing team. I was always called stupid even though I was the losing MVP lol. Hell, I actually started winning more in Legend-just cause of better map awareness from eveyone else.
as a tank user myself you should sometimes play passive especially when u know that ur team is losing a game just because you know how to set a team fight doesn't mean u r a good tank i see players who brag how good their set was but no followed up if u know that your team is losing teamfights then play passive and stick with your carry stop trying to make a fight happen because youre just gonna lose your teammates and increase your chance of losing

Agree. All heroes play differently when you're playing from behind. But especially for tanks. You cannot just charge in with a good setup, you need the best set up possible to regain control. So, yeah, passive is much more favored when you're playing from behind.

as a Khufra Main I play extremely aggressive and always target their dmg dealers. Khufra is a Tank that can easily solo a mm. Mising his first skill is very vital as the enemies gets the advantage of escaping or stunning you. His 2nd skill is the main reason people are scared of him. Sometimes I have faced a very bad Khufra who doesn’t know when to use his 2nd skill. We have to remember that people are not afraid of you after you waisted your 2nd skill. For instance, Fanny will come after you after she saw you waisted your 2nd skill and kill you and your teammates. I’ve experienced a good fanny before but I owned her like there was no problem. Fanny is scared of Khufra’s 2nd skill. Most Fanny’s will wait for Khufra to activated his 2nd skill so she can engage like a Maniac. I will just stand there and run around Fanny since she won’t engage until I used my 2nd skill and waited for my teammates to come closer then I go in using my 1st skill (since she is not flying) and used my 2nd skill so my teammates can kill her. This works for other heroes too like Hayabusa, Harith, etc. Plus you need to provide vision for your teammates by predicting where the enemies will go. In order to do that you either chase your enemies, hide in bushes or just by looking at the map. This way I was able to win almost everytime I used him even MVP’S
I'm tank player and helped people get maniac and savage, once I helped my bro get a savage in one match and 2 maniacs in a single match. And also someone who used moskov but he just called me a nuub.
me solo rank tank: always a frontier when ganking, follow and protect carrier at all cost, try to avoid enemies flanking to support our mm.. also me when i died once: Team: *stupid tank*

This is honestly so helpful, Tank is my secondary, my primary is support, but my Main is Carmilla who is like a pseudo-tank. This guide is so helpful, and also applies to other supports.

Most players don't want to use tank, or if I give them tank role they can't even play it properly so I end up use tank even tho I can play every role and my fave role is mage. im a tank user, not all teammate can see map like we do. MOST mm farm while we engage lower enemy hp. they just farm. vi ce versa. we give vision, see 4 enemies coming, tank run away warn mm dont war. mm just goes in anyway 2v4.
true...90% of my MVP are from loses and me playing support or tank. No matter how good you are with these roles, you are bound to lose if your teammates are toxic.

i have an anoying story to tell you so i was playing ML and i was playing carmilla with cecilion then the tank went straight to mid and the mm needs the buff i told the tank that he should help the mm but he responded saying FU and i was annoyed and so i said to myself the mm really needs that buff so i left top lane and called the mm to farm the buff since i’m carmilla i have life steal so i won’t die easily so we farmed and i accidentally took the buff i said sorry the mm just laughed so second atemp the mm got the buff NO THANKS TO THE TANK hopefully u read it:)

I was once Belerick Spain n.3. Although normally I take a lot of tips from you, I'll give you a quick tip. Never use the shield/magic defense pink item on Belerick. This is because It prevents your passive from triggering, since It ONLY activates when your life is being consumed. Otherwise, I love your videos!!
I agree. I have been playing with some MM who acts like tank or initiator. And some who chases enemy to their territory during early game, only aiming for kills.

I've been using tank for 80% in rank and seeing alot of player still not understand the role of tank.and blaming tank for:
-not clear lane
-some of them in early ask to retreat when help them attack buff
-some "pro" say tank midlane(tf)
-blaming at tank for ganking meanwhile they prefer "shopping"
Some of them say don't worry I carry the game,sometime I purposely left that player wanna see how he want to carry without tank😂
Those are some common point that I faced.

What rank is this? At epic - legend people mostly know how tanks work. Though at GM below best advice is to not play tank because your mid and adc are probably trash. Best to play mid at these ranks to control the flow of the game.

Blaming tank for gank: Its the carries fault if they dont get the 200 gold and exp for a kill, not the tanks, a gank is a possible free boost to gold early game

Same here. Last season i was in Legend 1 4 stars. Before end season,straight lose all because i wanted to reach Mythic. Stupid. Really stupid. Dropped to Legend IV because all those toxic motherfuckers who just know how to blame others, end season i was placed in Epic 3 and now stuck in it. Fuck that.
Im a mid lane mage and side lane mm player. I carry the game if i got a moderate tank player help roaming with me. The problem is that game which i got a good player is less. Sometimes i dominate the early game and lose late game because feeding or dont know how to farm or play safe teammates. Sometimes my team is total garbage.
After few games,i started to question my ability to play. I thought something is wrong somewhere im my playstyle.
Since i noticed so mamy games ended up with no tank,because the player who promised wanted to play tank,usually s4 or s5 will change it last minutes. Ended up being 2 mm or assasin in team and at last either one will not have a farm because the others took it. And boom lose.
I played tank because of that. The problem now is when i play tank, helpimg adc to farm,providing vision,roam the map after all those effort,still lose because my team adc dont know how to maintain the distance in a teamfight. So often i encounter this players who thinks they are too good and blaming everyone in the map but dont realise they are the one which is failing to see whats wrong in them. Mm cant farm,because tank not helping or just leave them be eventhough their lane is being pressured causimg them to not get farm,then lose blame mm because he cant farm. How is mm going to farm and what mm can do eventhough he has a lot farm but all the other teammate is feeding. 1 farmed mm vs 5 farmed team? How their supposed to carry the game for you when you are a useless shit?
If i encounter this things 1 out 10 games,i can understand. I wont be frustrated. But 9 out 10 game is shit team showing winrate and local or global leaderboard rank but playing like warrior rank. There is no common sense mostly. Everyone wanna play mm or assasin but they fail to realise and take the huge responsibility the mm and assasin have to carry. They just wanna kills. This is not Fortnite or PUBG to find kills. Even in battle royale those who doesnt have many kills but last man standing is still a winner. MOBA games is not about kills. Is about objectives. They just kept farming and would never push even though we just wiped out 4/5ths of the opposing team. I was always called stupid even though I was the losing MVP lol. as a tank user myself you should sometimes play passive especially when u know that ur team is losing a game just because you know how to set a team fight doesn't mean u r a good tank i see players who brag how good their set was but no followed up if u know that your team is losing teamfights then play passive and stick with your carry stop trying to make a fight happen because youre just gonna lose your teammates and increase your chance of losing

Agree. All heroes play differently when you're playing from behind. But especially for tanks. You cannot just charge in with a good setup, you need the best set up possible to regain control. So, yeah, passive is much more favored when you're playing from behind.

as a Khufra Main I play extremely aggressive and always target their dmg dealers. Khufra is a Tank that can easily solo a mm. Mising his first skill is very vital as the enemies gets the advantage of escaping or stunning you. His 2nd skill is the main reason people are scared of him. Sometimes I have faced a very bad Khufra who doesn’t know when to use his 2nd skill. We have to remember that people are not afraid of you after you waisted your 2nd skill. For instance, Fanny will come after you after she saw you waisted your 2nd skill and kill you and your teammates. I’ve experienced a good fanny before but I owned her like there was no problem. Fanny is scared of Khufra’s 2nd skill. Most Fanny’s will wait for Khufra to activated his 2nd skill so she can engage like a Maniac. I will just stand there and run around Fanny since she won’t engage until I used my 2nd skill and waited for my teammates to come closer then I go in using my 1st skill (since she is not flying) and used my 2nd skill so my teammates can kill her. This works for other heroes too like Hayabusa, Harith, etc. Plus you need to provide vision for your teammates by predicting where the enemies will go. In order to do that you either chase your enemies, hide in bushes or just by looking at the map. This way I was able to win almost everytime I used him even MVP’S

This is honestly so helpful, Tank is my secondary, my primary is support, but my Main is Carmilla who is like a pseudo-tank. This guide is so helpful, and also applies to other supports.

All of the tips here actually applicable to all tanks. Try to watch the video again and replace Bele with some other tanks say Grock), you can see that the tips aren't for Bele only, it's for the entirety of the role (which is tank).

Yes before this I used tank in every rank matches to push till mythic. Most players don't want to use tank, or if I give them tank role they can't even play it properly so I end up use tank even tho I can play every role and my fave role is mage. Sometimes I'm laughing like okayy I'm a girl and need to protect the boys since I'm using a tank but it's okayy. My fav tank is lolita 👌🏻

Seeing old belerick really bring back memories. He was so strong. Bel is my main tank until now. After the revamp, hes okay. But the old him were better

Old belerick is the toughest tank for me but now he's not good at dps now they put delay on his passive and capped the damaged

im a tank user, not all teammate can see map like we do. MOST mm farm while we engage lower enemy hp. they just farm. vi
ce versa. we give vision, see 4 enemies coming, tank run away warn mm dont war. mm just goes in anyway 2v4.

true...90% of my MVP are from loses and me playing support or tank. No matter how good you are with these roles, you are bound to lose if your teammates are toxic.
if thats the case then dont tank in epic. 90% of the time the trammates are stupid, its better to use heroes who can do objectives faster and safer like haya, fanny, granger, natalia, etc.

so i was playing ML and i was playing carmilla with cecilion then the tank went straight to mid and the mm needs the buff i told the tank that he should help the mm but he responded saying FU and i was annoyed and so i said to myself the mm really needs that buff so i left top lane and called the mm to farm the buff since i’m carmilla i have life steal so i won’t die easily so we farmed and i accidentally took the buff i said sorry the mm just laughed so second atemp the mm got the buff NO THANKS TO THE TANK

I was once Belerick Spain n.3. Although normally I take a lot of tips from you, I'll give you a quick tip. Never use the shield/magic defense pink item on Belerick. This is because It prevents your passive from triggering, since It ONLY activates when your life is being consumed. Otherwise, I love your videos!!
