- When I first started making kendama edits, over 3 years ago, I was like every other kid you see today, spent hours in front of the camera filming only in my house. Although as time progressed, other people, myself included, realized there was so much more creativity that could be put into these videos to demonstrate the good vibes that kendama always brings. So this summer I decided to pick the camera back up and film another edit that would hopefully capture kendama appropriately.
Teaming up with Kendama USA, Zack Yourd brings you Kendama Edit #5, an edit full of style, colors, heights, playgrounds, balancing, pain, success, just about everything that you'd expect after a 2 year wait since his last self edit. Enjoy!

I love how the tricks Zack Yourd does in his edits are so creative and original. And thats why he's one of my favorite players. In most edits these days, people are doing crazy lunar and stilts combos but Zack is doing bird 360 ken spins, a different type of space walk, etc. He deserved his spot on the KendamaUsa Pro Team!

hey bro, my brother in-law (joe larot) from the jabbawockeez inspired me to pick up a kendama. The first one I bought was your pro model 9 days ago!!! It is frustrating at times but I love it! I've learned the bird, candle, airplane, around the world, jumping stick and of course big cup little cup base cup. Keep it up man

It's kinda funny that kendama is becoming more popular as yo-yoing drops in popularity. The reason why I mention yo-yoing is because every friend I know that yo-yos has one. There's so many different tricks and styles of yo-yoing you can do. But I feel that the tricks you can do with the kendama are quite limited. Yes, they may be extremely difficult to do, but are for posers who waist countless amounts of seconds constipating themselves on a wooden ball with a stick and some cups.

It's called a Turntable. Some people call it a "Zack Yourd" because he made it up, but the proper name is turntable.

Ozora, Sunrise, Tribute, or TK16! I'd recommend a TK16 or Ozora. Starting off with JKA certified kendamas is always best in my opinion.
