It's amazing that at 3 years old, Jackson is helping with cooking and home repair! He will have no fear when he grows up. Fantastic job, Mom & Dad! I remember my entire childhood, I was told to keep away from the kitchen and any home repairs..."Don't touch that! You'll break it!" So, as an adult...I do not do home repairs, and don't experiment too much in the kitchen. You guys are wonderful parents. Can't wait for baby!

Hey Tim! I was a longtime Girl Scout. We did a lot of things, such as community service, art projects, camping, going on trips, learning about other cultures and cooking, and lots more! A bit of the $$ we made on cookie sales helped fund those experiences (though it's always better to donate to your local troop directly lol).
What great memories Jackson will have doing home repairs with his dad. Good parenting !!

My mother in law is a leap baby. She loves dividing her birthday by 4 Also she celebrates on Feb 28 and March 1 since she says she was scammed by the calendar. Good luck with the kiddo, we can wait to meet him!

I am a girl scout leader to the greatest group of 8 year olds around! We use our cookie sales money to go camping. I have been able to see the girls grow in confidence, ability to talk, and develop business skills through their sales. My daughter is hoping that the new little guy is born on February 23 so that they can share a birthday (I was due on March 4)! I also wanted to let you know that our little guy is also 3 and he says all the time that Jackson is his best friend! It is really sweet and he loves playing with toys while watching so it is like he is playing with Jackson! Enjoy your time off and love on that sweet baby... we will be here when you come back!

Omg, when Tim said he might do TikTok dances I literally said out loud at the same time as Jen, “please do” omg now he has to. The universe has spoken! Lol my daughter is selling Girl Scout cookies! My favorites are somas and the s’mores cookies! We are in Michigan so a little different then the ones you got, but still good! Excited for you all and the sweet new babe to come!

I was a girl scout and now my Granddaughter is. It is a fun group to join where you earn badges and go camping and do activities. My favorite cookie is the lemon ones.
Samoas/caramel delites are my favorite! I used to love being a Girl Scout and selling cookies. When I was a Girl Scout, we did outdoorsy things but also other activities involving arts, sciences, business, etc. Enjoy the cookies, Trackers!

The best way that I can describe baby movements, it feels like giant gas bubbles. Not painful gas, but just like giant bubble moving and popping inside. It’s so cool to feel baby moving!!! My boys are 17 & 12, so it’s been a long time, but I still remember it!

My daughter has been a Girl Scout for 6 years. Selling Girl Scout cookies has been a challenging but very fun and rewarding process for us! Her troop has turned their earnings into many community based projects and donations through the years as well as many enriching activities for our girls! Some examples have been homeless and police care packages, humane society, toys for tots, children’s hospital, women and children crisis center donations, cookie donations to soldiers. The cookies sales also help fund fun and educational activities as well as camps. Our troop meetings have many lessons covering STEM, community, arts and so much more! Thank you for supporting your local Girls scouts! 💚🍪 😊
And! We love most the cookies but we do love to take a small bite out of the thin mints at two opposite ends then (as weird as this sounds lol😅) suck milk through it then eat to our heart’s content 😂

Thanks for supporting Girl Scouts. I was a scout as a child & it was a day I looked forward to every week to spend time with my friends & do activities. My daughter was a scout too & I helped the troup leader with the girls. Cookie season gets very hetic. I love Samoas & Thin Mints.

You can take that baby food cookbook down to Kinkos and they can slice off the glue on the spine and then
drill the book and put a spiral ring binding in it so it's easier to open the book and have it folded open on your kitchen counter.
Lifetime GS member....thanks so much for supporting the girls!! There are two different bakeries that make the cookies. You were right, the cookie from this bakery is called Somoas in the other bakery. I actually buy from both since I have friends in NJ that sell also.
My son was in boy scouts and my daughter was in girl scouts, they loved it because they said the time they spent with us. I loved being my daughters troop leader, and because I worked I shared the duties with the another mom. I loved the time spent with all the girls and learned so much about my daughters friends. My son became an Eagle Scout and my husband enjoyed the time spent together and the memories they made. Moms can be involved in cub scouts and boy scouts-may be a fun thing to do with your boys.

A friend of mine is a Leap-Year baby. Her parents always celebrated on March 1st, because, as they said, “you were born the day after February 28th.”
I don’t know if she cares too much for it or not, but everyone makes a huge deal for her birthday every four years, so she digs that.

I have been a Girl Scout Leader for a Troop the past 13 years. Our girls started as Daisy Girl Scouts in Kindergarten and will be graduating high school this year. Selling cookies have provided the funds for our Troop to create many memories at camp, horse riding and going to Hershey Park. We are selling cookies for the last time and will be purchasing the girl's Lifetime Adult Memberships to Girl Scouts.

Leap day baby here. I celebrate whenever I feel like it. Usually the weekend after. On leap years we always do something fun or special on the actual 29th. In 2024 I will be 40 and I plan on being on a Disney cruise hopefully with a little one 🤞

I was a Brownie & a Girl Scout a very long time ago! 😁 My favorite is still Thin Mints.🤩 I did all kinds of fund raisers. We sold Seeds, & GRIT newspapers. Magazine subscriptions, Hollie Hobbie Stationary, book club books, & more. 😁
I am an Elementary Teacher. In my state we no longer do fundraisers at school that requires kids to go around and sell. Times have changed! Basically our PTO will host events, fairs, father daughter dances, dress up days, and all sorts of activities. Sometimes an ice cream place will host our school one evening and we get a percent of the proceeds. We have codes for several places where the PTO gets funds if we have a Harris Teeter account etc. It sadly just isn’t safe for kids to walk to stranger’s houses anymore. But the technology allows us to have a broader reach with sales and discounts and it pays nicely!

I’m a Girl Scout mom as well! I was a Girl Scout in my past and no matter what, my favorite is the Tagalongs. I have about 14 cases of cookies in my house right now. There’s that.

I was part of a community marching band back when I was a kid living in New Jersey, and we used to do Everything to fundraise for the outfit we were in. Bake sales, spaghetti dinners,raffle tickets, citrus fruit, jewelry, Tricky Trays, can-shakes, where we would literally stand out in front of our local supermarket, with a couple of coffee cans decorated up to represent our outfit, with a couple of dollars worth of quarters in them so that when we shook the can tge change in it would rattle, and get the attention of shoppers going into or out of the store hoping the sound would encourage folks to add some more change or bills to the pot, also when we would March in parades, the outfit got paid for that, so it was a fund-raiser for us as well, and that would pay for maintaining our busses & equipment truck, our instructors, fees to be part of competition circuits, the uniforms we marched in, and the instruments we played on were owned by the outfit we were a part of too. Sadly, none of that stuff comes free or is cheap.

My girls are Thriving as a first year of Girls Scouts 👧 💗 thank you for supporting them. Is not the value of the cookies more the archiving to learn how to approach people and overcome shines and be independent 😉 💪
In their meetings they learn not just camping or outdoors matters as being good humans, all kind of things like helping the planet by recycling, or how to be a good friend. How to help the community by preparing bags for the less fortunate.
But the sell of cookies help them to do FUN stuff too, like go skating all together ❤️

Trefoils are a must for me! They remind me of my childhood and my dad. Fundraising, we have all the stuff you mentioned, but my favorite was a Vanilla Ice cream Fundraiser, it was for the school and uf every family (not each student) donated $20 they would get an ice cream party and they wouldn't need to have any other Fundraisers. Simple and easy! Jenn, when you showed the baby moving, it made me miss being pregnant! My "baby" is almost 20, but I can still remember how special it was to feel the baby move! 👶 ❤️
