A walk around The Trafford Centre, Manchesters main shopping centre.
The whole place is extravagant Rococo and Baroque design. Which makes it very unique and different to your average shopping experience!
Here’s some interesting facts about The Trafford Centre:
1. They have the worlds largest chandelier
2. The staircase is modelled on the one in the Titanic
3. They have a sculpture modelled on the Trafford Coat of Arms
4. The Orient is the largest food court in Europe
5. They have 12 constellations and the Milky Way on the ceiling
6. All the palm trees are real
7. The main dome is modelled on St Paul's Cathedral
8. The team who built the centre are depicted above Regent Crescent
9. There is over 3.5 miles of brass
10. They were awarded "Loo of the Year' 17 years in a row
The Trafford Centre is a large indoor shopping centre and entertainment complex in Urmston, Greater Manchester, England. It opened in 1998 and is third largest in the United Kingdom by retail space.
Originally developed by the Peel Group, the Trafford Centre was sold to Capital Shopping Centres, later to become Intu, in 2011 for £1.65 billion setting a record as the costliest single property sale in British history.
The battle to obtain permission to build the centre was amongst the longest and most expensive in United Kingdom planning history. As of 2011 the Trafford Centre had Europe's largest food court and the UK's busiest cinema.

Yeah it’s definitely an experience, no ordinary shopping experience!
I wouldn’t say it’s ever really quiet, but weekdays definitely more quiet than the weekend.
Make sure you take the full tour around, including the food court! So much to see

There’s a few hair and make up places dotted around. Not sure I’d feel too comfortable just out in the open
