Great video Liam. I always enjoy your mild mannered pace of your videos. And the fact that you’re not tripping over new finds with every step just adds more realism to your outings. Thanks so much for sharing!
What a lovely view and such a quaint little fishing village. Unbelievable the trip down to the beach. Going up must take a LONG time. Nice fossil finds. Did your Dad and Mom get you interested?
Nice vid Liam, never collected along that section of beach before , love the detail of the suture pattern on your prepped ammonite , and well done on another string of verts👍
Such a great video. I love the added history tour on the way to the beach. You’d never know about the benches on the steps if you hadn’t been told. I wonder how many tourists would think twice about stopping there for a sandwich and to enjoy the view if they knew! Excellent finds too as always.
July 2013 my friend stepped off the East pier onto the beach and immediately picked up a 2 inch ammonite,I wonder how many thousands of people had passed by it , heading for the base of the cliffs
@@ForgottenFossils it certainly is🤩 , and you are so lucky with the verts, ive been at this ( collecting, prepping ) for the last 14/15 years and I'm still yet to find and prep string of articulated verts or a even a single vert !😔, but to fair my eyes are always dialed in for ammonites 🙄 . keep those videos coming they are really informative 👍.
Just subscribed...glad I did ya video was awesome mate......loved how you give some nice history pointers before you hit the beach....well done pal..... definitely be watching more 👍👍🦖🦖🦖🦕🦕🦕👈best fossil I could find lol....nice work mate✌️
A bit late to this vid don’t know what happened? Didn’t get a notification, I am outraged!! But seriously you are killing it on the vert strings currently, still don’t know how you have found any. I can’t! I think I am looking in the wrong areas as the past couple of months there hasn’t even been a sniff of bone! Oh well! I’m off to saltwick this Sunday wish us luck!!🤞🤞 Ps. You got 100 likes on your vert video! I want to see the vid of them being prepped!!!!!!!!👏
@@ForgottenFossils I did go to saltwick on Sunday like I said and I found a few decent bits and some pieces of bone !!! I don’t know what they are or what they are from but is there any chance you could take a look and Id them?
Check out my best ever find if you missed it! It's so special th-cam.com/video/0ljf9hzLr5w/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=WhitbyFossils
Do you find verts often...
Due to having spinal injuries, I can get to places like this any more. Thanks for taking me back to Whitby.
No problem! Check out my recent videos also at the other remote beaches
The sight of all of these rocks and fossils has got my heart pumping!! Thank you for this walk!!
Great video Liam.

Why people be disliking this legend
Who knows
Good finds Liam . I liked that bench at the top of the steps a good resting place for a full rucksack 🎒 🌀

It’s picked over quite regularly from whitby side but it makes a nice change and occasionally something really nice turns up.
Oh what scenery and a lovely village! Great history.
Sure you’ll eventually get many more subscribers. That ammonite by the way was a beaut. Well done.
Thank you Ray, yes it’s an absolute beauty
another relaxing watch Well done mate All that kelp on the beach Must have been a big blow Keep it up mate
Always loads of kelp, can be super slippy
A woman who survived the Titanic also survived the older shipwreck at Saltwick. Madness! One day I'll bump into you.

Thank you! I’m no historian but it’s very interesting.

Many thanks!
Thanks for the tour!
No worries
I luv ur videos. I'm learning so much from u. Thank u for doing these wonderful videos!!!!
You are so welcome!
Question: how come you don’t have a chisel for more precision or to help crack certain harder rocks? Does it risk damaging the fossils more?
wow I'm happy TH-cam recommended your chanel! peace from Mississippi, USA
Thank you! It's good to know youtube are putting my videos out there a little bit 😀
Do you find verts often..

Thank you, I still remember my first ever Reptile Bone find. It was a worn tiny half of a vert. I was absolutely over the moon.
@@ForgottenFossils I have found 2 paddle digits from Ichthyosaurs and that’s the best I have done bone wise, but I will find a vert I am determined!

Someone might have dropped that vert on their way off the beach ;) .... great vids btw, love seeing what you find :)
Yes or maybe they didnt know what they had found and threw away at the last minute haha
@@ForgottenFossils yeah you might be right there. Would be funny if they saw your video 😆
@@ianmcnulty5056 Haha they're not getting it back :D
Enjoyed this video. Fab! Would be good if you could look at the camera when you speak though.
Yes when I first started making videos I looked at the wrong spot.
Is this the stretch of beach that the fossil tour goes on from the Grape Lane fossil shop ?
Yep
Epic😎
Thank you Jacob!

Whitby east cliff
Got to be an MM prep on that Phylo.

Badass m8
That phylloceras!

Get it polished up.

How the frick did you know that?
Practice i guess
Why can’t you dig out of bedrock?
